You know what would make this even more awesome? If 'Spyro' was the name of the game in production, and it was a remake of the original.

But even if it's not, that's great news!

The person only mentioned the series name, Spyroo, not the next game title. Some people who work with game companies call the Spyro the Dragon series "Spyro" to shorten it out.

You didn't read what I said - I said wouldn't be cool if that was the game name, not the series name.

No, what I meant by that was 'wouldn't it be awesome if it was'. I know it can go in any direction right now, so I'm happy even if it turns out to be TLOS

This is very good news.

Well, whatever they're working on, all of the game designers and anyone else involved in the upcoming game are probably going to keep quiet about this one. (Since video game developers have to keep their lips sealed when a game is in production. They do this because each person who's a part of the creation or construction of the game has to sign a contract before the game can even worked on.)

Actually, the person meant only about working on effectiveness studies for online games from EA, like The Sims 3, as part of her job experience, guys. Not mentioning about the next game being made by EA.

yeah lol. I thought EA at first but then you have to read it carefully it says activsion at the end. but again where is spyros direction going to be LOS world or back to the originals?

And you were about to make a little mistake there, on the developers of EA, Zackeio and SpyroLUVA.

I just hope this new game will be epic and have Dark Spyro and Malefor in it.

Who knows?

I hope it drops Cynder, Malefor and all that TLOS junk and returns to the roots.

Hmm, perhaps that's true Aura. Still. . . why would someone bother conducting title tests for Spyro? He as no online games whatsoever and that bit seems strictly for just online games under EA's house.

"Title test" is a marketing term that is used to describe the relationship between a title for something (a film, for example), and the concepts that title suggests to the audience (i.e., if you hear about a film called "Zombie Island", you'll know right away that it has both zombies and islands in it).

If I'm reading you clearly then Aura, that means that there is indeed a Spyro game on the way. Since they are conducting Title Test for Spyro, I guess we can assume that we can see a Spyro game late December, or even early Spring of next year.

IMO, we should get some news by Christmas this year, hopefully. Then, just maybe, the game could come out somewhere in Spring 2011 (Fall/Autumn in America) or Autumn 2011.

I hope that's true, because that means I can look forward to playing both, Spyro and Pokemon White. And, if the Spyro game comes out early Spring, then that means I could get it for my birthday. :D

Got my figures crossed that they're going back to the originals, and start again were YOTD left off, or better yet, a remake of ETD.

I wouldn't count on an ETD remake, but it's either an Old Spyro or a Spyro game in the LoS universe.

(B. have a finished storyline and are trying to find a title to go with the storyline. Or (C. want to spread the news on the next game with the title so fans know what universe it'll be under.

I personally think they could pull off a good LOS universe game if they take their time with it and incorperate good ideas to go with it. I would love to see some sort of online play, like they did in transformers where you could fight waves of enemies with your partner. Heck they have a hello kitty MMO for peeks sake!! why cant spyro have some sort of online gaming incorperated.

Search for the word "Spyro" on that page, Darby, and it will lead you to the part where the person did something involving Spyro. It will say the following what the person did in her involvement with Activision here:

I don't think so. Possibly during the middle of the development. Like they revealed the titles of the previous Spyro games a few months or so before its release.

If you look again, you'll notice that this testing was done between March and August 2010. It's very unlikely to be anything older.

They may be able to salvage LOS with a remake of DotD, but i doubt they'll do that. A blend of old and new could be spectacular if done right. If they return to the old I just might cry with joy. No joke.
