Based upon the results of the survey (x) mostly, and based upon the most common suggestions (mixed with some I have), here is an incomplete list of things users want…or need…

- the ability to filter PMs so that they go into certain folders when sent. Like by person, or by subject title. Could be very helpful, however it may be a little too much.
- a counter of profile views
- a counter of topic views
- spoilers collasped (text box - 'Reveal Spoiler' button needs to be clicked to see the content and how large it is)
- create folders in PM (as I recall d52 is working on this)
- the ability to search by subject title and or description in the inbox
- the ability to toggle off showing PMs from different users
- Film/Movie Subforum
- enable alignments in PMs
- also have it so that disabling images will not disable alignments, maybe have a separate option to disable alignments?
- live chatbox (this is a common answer on the survey)
- moderators (one of the most common things people wanted on the survey, unsurprisingly enough).
- topic closure warning (via PM). Maybe it could be as some red text at the bottom of the topic post if it’s close to closing?
- more news updates
- the ability to make and upload your own banners
- the option to have the Darkemon skin on
- ability to have email notifications of new posts on subscribed topics, should be able to toggle off and on
- a note at the top of the forum when subscribed topics have new posts, should be able to toggle on and off
- certain number of reports hide a post
- a big bright link for new users to find the rules of the site
- more important sticky topics
- user created polls
- a pop up that notes when you have a PM
- ability to see people’s posts through link in profile (can be disabled by user)
- banners in signatures (disallowed)
- users reading topic
- ability to have multiple avatars that change by post
- automatic resize of images
- spellchecker
- more search functions. Example: search by author, search by words in post and so forth.
- report user sig & avatar options
- option to have background black (disallowed)
- a count that counts how many characters you have left in post, PM, sig and guestbook. Should be able to be disabled by user if they wish.
- easier to find direct links to posts
- more order in roleplay forums (i.e moderators, guidelines)

Did I miss anything? d52 had stated that he has been working on the search functions, PM functions, polls and stuff. These are by far not all my ideas here and it doesn’t mean I agree to all of them by posting them, either.

So what's your opinion, what do we especially need on this site, what do you want but know it's improbable and what is completely meaningless to the site?

I'd like a Film/Movie Subforum, but some of them are good.

Did you include the spoiler thing? The one where hide makes it the size of what it would be if nothing was in it (or smaller), and show makes it the size of what it contains? That would solve the highlighting and other problems with the spoilers. Wouldn't it?

Mods and order in RPs? Someone explain?

@C_f: Some people that relentlessly stalk the RP section happen to see inappropriate content, spamming, trolling, and so forth. Fights originate easily (well it is presumed so) from the RP place, not the only place on the forums that happens in, although.

Some people think that mods should be placed to moderate the RP section, to make the forum a 'better place' for people to expand their writing abilities.

There's been a few topics about it in the past, but most of it was months ago. There have also been some moderately recent complaints about RPing.
