Here's a story I got the idea to write about Cynder... When she's controlled by the dark master. How would she act? What would she be like? You barely get to know anything about evil Cynder, so that's my story. I'll post a proloug write now and if i get good reviews I'll keep going.

Prolouge

I sit here, waiting for Spyro to return from his evening flight, and I remeber times when everything was so much darker. I don't like remembering these times, but when they are part of your past it's impossible to permanently forget things.

I remeber when I controlled everyone. I remeber when I was feared by everyone. I even remember when I was evil. I'm not that kind of dragoness anymore.

And I never want to be again.

And yet I am stuck with this past filled with darkness. I'm stuck remembering trying to kill the dragon who is now my best frend. I'm stuck being remebered as the dragoness who detroyed the world.

This is my story. This is my life. This is my very unwanted past.

Let me start where stories should... At the beginning....

I hope you like this! I'm an author (with no published books, but an A+ in writing) so I decided to write a fan fic with real litrature to it. Enjoy and please comment!

Chapter 1: Birthday

Unlike most creatures, us dragons can remeber many things... Even the day we hatched. That is my beginning. I remeber it well, though I wish a didn't.

There was darkness surrounding me. No sound, light, smells, nothing. I pushed at the wall of darkness, but it stayed firm. I shoved at it with my nose, and an ear-piercing crack echoed around me. I pushed again, and the shell cracked and shattered.

I saw the world for the first time.

I was in a castle with apes, mostly. I blinked my wide, newely-opened eyes and swallowed, slightly scared and feeling like crying. At this age, dragoness' should have a mother... And a home... And many things I did not have.

One of the apes walked over to me. "It's okay," he told me in a raspy voice. "This is your home."

I blinked at him. I crawled out of the rest of my shell. For the first time ever, my paws touched solid ground, and I found strength to hold myself up... For a few seconds. I fell over, my legs to small to hold me up well.

"Ugh, we should've taken a different egg." another Ape grunted. "This ones too weak."

"Hold your tongue! In time she will be a creature of power... And darkness. We just have to raise her. The Dark Master will be please with her." the other ape told him.

I blinked again, and opened my mouth, trying to make a sound. A small squeak came out of my mouth. The two apes looked at me.

"She's pathetic!" the second ape yelled.

The other ape shook his head and picked me up. He told me in an eerie coo, "It's okay, little one, you're safe... Soon, you will be the most powerful creature to walk this earth."

I tilted my head, confused. Little did I know that very soon the ape's words would be true: I would be powerful, but I would be a monster.

Sorry for the double post but I have the next chapter!

Chapter 2: Dissobedience

I soon found out that the ape's name was Geroken, and was a mythical beast trainer. He had trained the bat-like creatures that gaurden Dante's Freezer, and even the little armidilos of Tall Plains. He had taken on the challenge of raising me, and was a suprisingly good helper.

He taught me well, and soon I learned how to breathe on of the four elements they would teach me: Wind. It was not exactly the strongest attack, but it could do a suprisingly large amount of damage when in the right situation.

By the age of seven (in dragon years, of course), I was already the size of a teenager. The dark power Geroken had introduced me to made me grow at suprisingly quick rates... But I'll slow down and explain a bit of life from when I was seven.

Rain slid down the windows of the castle and I sighed as I watched them. Yawning, I turned to Geroken and asked, "Can I go outside?"

"Now why would you want to do that?" he asked me in his familliar, raspy voice. "You'd get your scails all wet... And you mught catch a cold!"

"I'll be fine." I sighed. "Besides, I'm bored... At least something interesting would happen if I get sick. And it's fun to blast the birds flying overhead with wind and watch them get blown away." I giggled evilly.

Geroken shook his head. "I'm sorry, Cynder, but I don't want you getting sick; it would throw off days of training. You're staying in here where it's warm and safe."

I looked at the ground. "Fine,"

With that, I slowly padded away. I came to a hallway with two directions: My room, and the outside. Looking around to make sure Geroken didn't see me, I snuck down the other hallway and ran outside.

I was cought after falling into the mud and getting dirty. I tried to sneak in to wash off, but Garoken saw me. I was tied up with a chain in the dungeons for a week as a punishment.

Soon my guiltiness left me. I overheard Geroken speaking to another ape one evening.

"It's time, Geroken... She's old enough to be introduced to true evil."

"No, she's still to young... Give her three more years."

"Did you here? The purple dragon somehow managed to stay alive... We have to send her out sooner than we thought."

Geroken sighed. "Fine, I'll take her tomorrow."

"Good..."

Little did I know that I was soon about to be changed forever.... In the worst possible way.

Chapter 3: Darkness

"Wake up, Cynder! Cynder, wake up!" familliar hands shook me.

I opened my eyes sleepily, my vision still blurry. Looking out the window I yawned. "The sun's still coming up... I want to go back to bed."

"I need you here right now." Geroken told me gently. He took my paw to help me get up, and I looked around. Yawning once more, my vision fully came to me and I was able to wake myself up.

Geroken began walking out of the room. "Follow me," he told me.

I did as I was told, still very sleepy. He took me to a room in the dungeon that had always been locked and out of bounds. He had told me something so powerful it would kill me in seconds was in here... And I had been a fool to believe him.

Inside there was nothing at all. There weren't even windows or torches, making it extremely hard to see. Squinting, I could make out a a small black star in the center of the room.

"All you must do is pledge your allegence to Malefor the Unbeatable Darkness, and step in the center." Geroken told me.

"Why? Who is Malefor?" I asked shyly.

"You will find out in time, young Dragoness." he paused, as though hesitant. "Now step in the center and repeat after me."

I obediently did as I was told, still remebering being punished for dissobeing him during the rainy day. Stepping into the center, I felt so powerful that my insides burned... In a bad way.

"Repeat after me: I pledge my obediance to the ubeatable darkness, the powerful evil, and destroyer of light. I promise that I will serve it forever, even until my dying breath. I swear to the ancestors that I will serve and aid the darkness, and destroy all goodness, even if my life is on the line. I promise to do all these things and more for you, Great Malefor."

I slowly repeated him. When the last words escaped my mouth, the star started glowing black light around the room. I could feel evil, actually feel it. I could feel the light of the world, of the sun, being drained. My purple-blue scails turned black, my pink stomach turned red, my whole body grew with the loath and evil within me.

I found myself the size of a full grown dragon. I forgot my past. I forgot who I was. If I didn't know better, I would have forgotten I was even a dragon. The light faded.

Geroken's eyes were wide and he walked over to me. "Now come back to your room."

"Yes," I nodded, my voice alien to myself. I stretched my new, giant wings to full length then folded them to my body again and queitly mumbled, "Soon, this world will fall in the era of a new king."

I was changed that day.... My present, future, and even past were changed forever... I was changed forever.

Chapter 4: Battle

I was too strong... Or at least that's what I was told. Geroken explained that at the moment, with Malefor still imprisoned, I couldn't be corrupted at much as they hoped.

So they whipped up an amulet that held great dark power. When I wore it, I wasat my truest, most powerful self. I was forbidden to take it off, and by the time that I could fully control my powers I didn't want to.

Then, one day, I was commanded to attack the temple. An ancient temple that was where my egg was when I was found. I was supposed to capture the four gaurdians and use them to save the dark master.

Chapter 4: Battle (continued)

"Tonight?" I asked Geroken, who was now pretty old, as I starred at the moon, glimmering like a jewel as it rose.

"Yes," Geroken's raspy voice echoed around me. I turned to face him.

"What if I fail?" I asked, the amulet on my neck glowing like always.

"You won't." Geroken shook his head. "The dark master believes in you. If he actually thinks you will succeed, then you will.... He is putting all his trust in you."

I nodded. "When the moon is fully risen I will find the elders and capture them. Then the dark master shall be risen."

Geroken nodded. "Remeber your powers, don't forget that your horns are powerful, attack anyone anytime... Be careful."

I nodded again, happy that he seemed to care. I guess even evil had a soft side if you had raised someone since the day the hatched. I then blew of blast of flame, the extra element I had gotten when corrupted, into the air... I was ready.

My wings were silent and stealthy as I flew with my small army of apes too the strangely familliar temple. There I could see all the doors were closed and locked, and all four masters were there.

"Head to the entrance!" I shouted at my army. "Capture the masters!"

The apes all nodded as they lead their bat-like creatures down to the front of the temple. I landed behind them and knocked down the door with my strength. As it hit it the ground with a THUD, Ignitus awoke.

"What's going on?" the old dragon asked, raising his head. He turned and saw me. "Who- Who are you?"

"I am Cynder, a dragon born in this temple. I was raised by Geroken the ape and given power by the dark master." I dipped my head in greeted. "But enough small talk! Come quietly or you shall all be killed." this was a lie, for I needed them alive, but I needed to scare them

"Volteer, Terrador, Cyril! Come quickly! The temple is under attack!" he called.

I growled as the ape army attacked the awaking dragons. Most of the apes were defeated, but there was no way they could beat me. Ignitus blasted flames at me, and I shot back, then charged him with my horns. Cyril tried to freeze me, but I melted his blasts before he could.

Suddenly, I realized Terrador had contacted others and before I knew it I had begun a war... And that was only my first mistake.

Thanks everyone! I'm on vacation right now so I don't and won't have much time to post a chapter, but here's the beginning of one:

Chapter 5: The Loss

"Apes, attack! We must bring them all down!" I called to my army as they ran to attak. "Five of you must go back to to palace and get the rest of us... It will take everyone to win this fight!"

Five of the apes leaped onto their bat creatures and flew off. The rest of them stayed with me to attack. Ignitus charged at me, smoke coming from his nostrils. He blasted and almost hit me. Just as I was about to fight back a new dragon, completely gold, charged my side and I fell into the wall.

Dazed, I got up and blasted the dragon with flames. He ws badly burned and fell over, unconsious. But I knew that I could not keep it up. If the apes I sent did not return soon, I would lose for sure.

Chapter 5: The Loss (continued)

I blasted the dragons back, and more arrived. I growled, "You cannot win, the darkness is more powerful than any of you will ever be!" I swiped my claws at Ignitus, cutting him and injuring him badly.

But then a dragoness who had arrived a few moments ago, her scales a deep blue, blew ice, not freezing me but definately weakening me by a lot. I turned on her, but before I could attack a light amythist dragon lunged at me, knocking me over.

A few apes attack the dragon, but were quickly knocked out - One was even killed. I swallowed: My army was weakening by a lot. I looked out the door to the night sky. Come on, apes, please get here fast! I thought desperately.

"You cannot win this battle, Cynder." Terrador told me bitterly, shooting me withs shards of earth and cutting me. I winced, and had to lay down for a moment, suprised at how injured I was.

"Yes, this is simply too enormous of a predicament for you to escape from." Volteer nodded as he zapped lightning at me. This time I was ready. I used my wings as a shield and the electricty bounced off of me at onto him, knocking him out cold.

I smiled, but was tackled by a deep red dragon. Trying to push him off, I began to lose consciousness.

Then I was saved.

Thousands of apes charged in, ready for battle. A small smile twitched onto my face as I noticed who the leader was: Geroken. He attacked the dragon tackling me and easily knocked him out.

I smiled and fought by his side. With the increasing number of apes, the battle became easier by the minute. Then, I heard a yell behind me and I saw that Geroken had been struck down with a blast of electricty into his back.

I ran over to him. "Are you okay?" I asked.

Geroken shook his head. "Remember your training, and take these dragons down; you can do it. I believe in you." With that all the life left the old ape, and fury ran through my body. Growling, my eyes filled with tears, I lifted my head: I was going to win this battle.

[Chapter 6: Hatched

I unleahed a fury of fire, the entire ground shaking below my paws. Terrador was thrown into the wall, Cyril was badly burned, and although Volteer was behind me, I head him scream in pain. I lowered my head, exhausted from the all the power I had put into that.

With all the dragons weakened, I tied up the three elders and was ready to take them back to the castle.

But I forgot about one.

Ignitus had not been injured because he WAS fire. So he blasted me from behind and injured me badly. Barely able to open my eyes, I yelled in a raspy voice to the other apes, "Get the dragons back to the castle, quick!"

Before Ignitus could react, The bat-like creatures, the apes, and the three dragons were gone. I turned to attack Ignitus, but before I could, a purple ray surrounded us. I was shocked. "What kind of power was that?" I asked bitterly.

"It was no power," Ignitus shook his head, a small smile on his face. "It was the purple dragon. He has finally hatched."

My eyes widened in terror. "Where is he?" I asked, pinning the dragon down.

"I do not know," Ignitus shook his head, still smiling. Growling, I swiped my paw at him, injuring him.

Ignitus shoved me off and before I could attack again, he has flown away. I growled, and if I wasn't so tired I would have cursed aloud. Instead, I simply flew out the door and back to the castle to deal with the other elders.

I would be praised.

I would be congratulated.

I would officially have reached a new low.

They are awesome chapters. Your story seems more like a Novel then mine. You know it would be cool if we do a cameo since one of my characters in my FanFic can travel in time.....well his dad can. If you accept then I will PM you what the plan is.
