If Elijah Wood does the voice for the next game of Spyro, he'll be tied with Tom Kenny for the longest person to have his voice recorded and used in the Spyro games.

I know Tom Kenny did Spyro's voice for RR and YotD. Which other Spyro game did he do the voice in?

Hopefully Elijah Wood will be in the next game so he can share the glory with Tom Kenny of being able to be in 3 of the Spyro console games.

If Tom Kenny however is indeed the voice of Spyro in the upcoming movie, then he shall remain ahead for the most Spyro additions appeared in.

Whichever happened, Elijah has done a great run so far and if he does go out then he'd better have a just-as-good replacement for the next game. You can only think how disappointed I was to hear Spyro with some cold-bug-ridden voice from Jess Harnell in A Hero's Tail >.>

Do voices really matter THAT much?

They aren't the most important thing, but I think they DO matter.

Given peoples' bickerings concerning various other voice roles in the past (Jess Harnell and David Spade often comes up in discussions concerning this), then they DO tend to matter for some.

Speaking of David Spade, why did they replace him with the guy who does the voice of Fry and The Professor on Futurama????

I hope Elijah Wood finishes out the LoS trilogy. That would really stink if they changed his voice in the third game after all this time.

I hope they don't change his voice, too, "Razz". I mean, what's the point in buying all of the Legend Of Spyro Games if they change his voice in the 3rd one????

Hee, no need to put my name in quotes. I use the name Razz off-line, too. I think of it as being more accurate than my given name.

Well, I'd still want to see the rest of the story, but it would be awkward to have this new Spyro suddenly change his voice when Wood has really put a lot into the character by this stage.

Yeah, and fans might start to dwindle if this happens.

personally, to me it does. it's annoying when they switch the voices around six billion times.

they should have kept david spade (in my opinion) and i really hope they keep elijah wood. i think he fits spyro the best.

Forgive me, it was midnight and I was tired. Of course they matter, what was I thinking. However I wouldn't mind them bringing back David Spade, as long as he puts in the effort this time round. Elijah Wood should stay through the TLoS but after that, I wonder who they might try.

i thought david spade was hilarious with his boring voice! i think billy west is er...not so funny.

Makes Sparx sound too hyper?

Now you know how I felt when they decided to replace the ENTIRE CAST for A Hero's Tail when I grew so accustomed to the pre-2004 cast. And I bet more people felt the same that I did.
