Is it possible to defeat the whole game in just one day???? I played the game yesterday and went from partways through Ancient Grove to the very end in around 7 hours of playing time. So I'm just curious if anyone has completed this game in just one day.

Yeah, well, I still need to practice it. I'm pretty good at the game, but I'm still get stuck on a few parts in the game. Like the part in Mountain Fortress where you get berraged by loads of enemies back to back. That took me a while to get used to, but I was evidently able to kill them all again. Even the Ravage Rider even kept me in check, even though I know how to beat him, and I've beaten him a lot quicker the first time around then when I played it yesterday. Maybe I was off of my game or something. Yeah, that might be it.

You're looking at someone who went through Viewtiful Joe 2 from start to finish in one day, on their first try-through. Not an easy feat. But still, it can be possible once you practice. Not much could be done about the huge hordes of enemies though, but it can be doable if you approach from the right angle.

I finish most modern games within the first 12-24 hrs of playing (estimate includes sleep time). That's if I don't get bored with it, which I usually do. (TEN became boring and tedious within the first hour of play and downright annoying after that).

Is this on a New Game+ run and all, or is it from scratch? Because if it's the latter, then that would make an awesome foundation for a speed run smilie

The game's story starts all over from scratch, but you'll still have all of the unlockables that you got for the previous game, including all of the quills you collected, all of the Magic and Health Relics, the Dark Spyro unlockable, and all of the breaths you got throughout the game, including all of the upgrades you made to them. So, techniquely, the game doesn't really start from scratch (with the exception of the story) making the game easy to have a speedrun through it.

What you stated is an example of a New Game+ run - doing the story all over again with everything you obtained the first time around. What I meant was doing the whole thing from the very beginning, selecting "New Game" from the menu and going from there rather than loading your save file for the occasion.

Yeah. I think you can do that. I think that starting the whole game from scratch is possible if you select "New Game" and override the previous game you've played. I could be wrong, though.

You're looking at someone who did that with A New Beginning on multiple occasions so I'm sure The Eternal Night won't be any different. >.>

Man, I'm slow at playing this game. It took me between 1-2 hours just to get through the Temple, and Half-Way through Ancient Grove. I could have gone all day and finished it, but I had to stop and do my homework.

That's not slow gaming, that's "playing with concern for health". 1-2 hours at a time is a good amount of time to play personally.
