So...which one is having the real conversation and what are talking about, exactly?

Poor Well of Soul Spirits. They can't help that the're drawn to the sinkhole of darkness. Well, wait, they can...or could. Some of them. They had a choice in life to be good or bad, at least. I feel bad for the lost spirits, though. Cynder would have been in there if Spyro hadn't jumped in and pulled her out.

It was created by the dark master's power his power split the earth creating a pit of dispair where spirits could reside the well of souls

Hmmm. The Well of Souls is a pretty evil and weird place. smilie Anyways, when playing this level in TEN, I didn't like it much...

I wish we could've seen the spirits being loose in TEN. I was really disappointed that right at that moment all the focus was on the fight with Gaul and then the game was over. I'd also like to know if the Well of Souls still exists now that it's mountain and dark center are gone.

It's the top of the mountain that collapsed.
Razz Platinum Sparx Gems: 6071
#15 Posted: 21:34:04 07/02/2008
The way it was crumbling shows that the entire mountain was falling, we just didn't stay around to watch the whole fall. All that's left now is a pile of rubble that is more accurately called a hill. smilie

I like the well of souls. Such a dark, depressing place for a final boss fight.

I'm sorry to say that I only knew that bit of information because I happened to turn my tv on right as the second Twin Tower fell on September 11, 2001. smilie The tower did something similar with the smoke plume (as do certain kinds of erupting volcanoes).

We did see them, remember the legions of the undead? I think that was them.

Convexity was a much grander place to hold a final fight, agreed. I'm still kind of confused about the architecture of Malefore. How did Spyro and Gaul fall into a room that was completely different from the room Spyro had just been in (before he flew into Gaul's throne room).

I don't remember the legions of the undead...unless you mean that horrible fight on the platform with all the ghouls and giant mammoths. I always thought they were just regular soldiers of the Dark Master's army (especially since the spirits aren't supposed to appear until the moons converge, or so the Chronicler implied).

Since WHEN is it light in the well of souls?
Convexity did have a dark mood, yes. but you're in space with a bunch of pretty moons/planets and some weird creatures flying around.

Malefor had a dark throne room with a purple beam in the middle which would bring back the DM AND Cynder got knocked out, which seems bad considering Spyro's expression afterwards.

It was because of the dark master. in his seclusion the sheer weight of his malice cracked the very foundation of the mountain, splitting the earth, creating a pit of despair where the lost souls of the world could reside.
