I guess he only plays a brave hero, in fact he is a coward. He might have been crying in this stinking cave, alone, without Ember...

I've never understood Flame x Ember.... They've never made a single interaction with each other in either game.

And he may be able to fight, he could have easily been trapped by mistake.

Ember doesn't match to Spyro and Flame stays alone, so mercy players put them together. And we have Flame x Ember. Better than any Spyro x Flame or Ember x Cynder.

I believe Flame was young at the time. Possibly too young and inexperienced to fight much, let alone the infamous Gnasty Gnorc.

Bah, age is no huge issue: Spyro defeated Gnasty easily when he was a little kiddo.

Maybe some just don't have Spyro's natural skill.

Yeah, Spyro is a PURPLE dragon, and Flame is a general kind of dragon, red dragon. You know the difference.

We're talking about the Classic Spyro which was in the same game as Flame, before all the legendary Purple dragon BS showed up.

You forgot that the purple dragon thing started in Shadow Legacy, an Old Spyro game. Or the fact that some of the dragons from the first Spyro game kept saying that Spyro was something different ever since he was little, and that he'll fulfill his destiny while he was out kicking Gnorc butt and saving the dragons.

Anyway, Flame was probably set as a side character. Or made along with Ember to have other young dragons around Spyro's age.

Shadow Legacy, if you don't rescue all the dragons in Dragon Village from the shadow realm, and go and talk to Flame, I'm sure he says something like "Have you seen Ember anywhere?" which might suggest friendship.
