in the allies gallery in dotd there is a picture of a goat-type creature... thing. they never appear in the actual game and i was wondering why. do you know who they are? are they some sort of hidden characters?

I think it looks more like the fauns from Fracture Hills.

Maybe they were going to use Goats instead of Moles early ion.

I guess it was the origenal drawings for the moles...

Or they were characters that were going to be put in the game.

It's just a reference design for Hunter's Hawk...

This character is only in cartoon, so he wasn't in the game, even hidden. And I don't suppose that they are reference to old GtG, DotD makers are to stupid and arrogant. Old series? Pffff... They are worse than our GREAT, AWESOME TLOS!!! Who remembers about Baloonist, Magma Cone, Frcture Hills... More important is GOOD GRAPHIC and stupid PLOTHOLES!!!

Shows you haven't been paying attention to any comments made by anyone involved in TLoS. Do you think if they hated the originals that they would even consider making a Spyro game? The only reason they made TLoS was because they felt that the original series had lost it's touch as the years went by from the original 3 games. Chris Wilson and Mike Graham were both quoted in saying that they thought the original 3 games were the best Spyro games ever, and that they could never hope to make something as brilliant as them, that's why they didn't try to.

But they have to have some hope! If you say: "I can't do this", you really won't do this! You gotta belieeevvee in you! So why can't they look at StD and make game very familiar to it? Or sequel to YotD? Why did they do another trilogy, not even bound by plot with StD? At the beginning they would be blamed: "It's copy of StD! It sucks!" But it would be better than LoS. Love something, buy rights to this and make from this thing a very different one...
And yes, I don't pay attention, and I must see some comments.

In a way, Sierra have been involved in Spyro since the beginning, Universal Interactive Studios published the first 4 Spyro games and after 2000, Universal Interactive Studios changed their name to Vivendi. Vivendi own Sierra and Blizzard. From AHT and onwards, they published Spyro games under Sierra's name, with help from Sierra themselves. You can't say that they were given the franchise and then gave up with it, they always had the franchise. After 8 years of Spyro, they felt it needed to go in a different direction. They admitted, it was a risky decision but would you want them to attempt to make a new Spyro game based on the originals when they knew that the reception they got from AHT and SL wasn't any good? Personally, I think it's good that they went to TLoS, not saying TLoS is better in any way than the originals, but it was a good decision for them to leave it where it was. Insomniac did what they did best, they made the original Spyro games. Sierra tried to find what they could do best, which turned out to be TLoS. I think Activision should try to improve on TLoS rather than try to continue where Insomniac left off. And, with Activision in charge, we wont ever see an original Spyro game ever again. Activision, their motto is if it's not an FPS then it's pretty much ignored...

Well, what's really happened is the first game they made, Disruptor, was a serious FPS like Resistance, then they made 3 Spyro games, then they made Ratchet and Clank which is kind of a mixture between the two and then Resistance, which is really like... Serious business! But they're still making Ratchet and Clank, so that cancels it out, and they're making a new franchise too, but no one know's what it'll be...

I must buy this Ratchet and Clank, sounds interesting. Is it on PS2 or PS2 and PSX?

Oh i have Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando. Ive beat it a couple times. It is a lot of fun

About what is Rachet and Clanck and is it good for my little sister (she's 7)?

Well....it's a cat-like guy and his little robot friend that go and protect plants by useing huge, obnoxous GUNS in a great varity, so that not might be a safe game. BUT you don't shoot humans, you shoot generaly robots and aliens. oh and because of that there is no blood.
