Help! I don't know how to use lock pick. [CLOSED]

I took randomly some game (this one) and started to playing it. Now I have a problem. 'Cause I'm not that good in computer or PS2 games, I don't know how to open a locked chest! It's driving me crazy to know that in locked chest is smthg that I need, but I don't know how to open it. And I've tried to find an answear, but everywhere they just say "use lock pick".
So thats my question; How to use a lock pick.

But you can buy a ring with Sparx head on, that let you buy three lock pics at the same time.

You buy a lock pick and you stand in front of the locked door or chest. Sparx does the rest.
