The plains of Avalar were silent all but for the chilling howls of the northern winds. Mere rabbits and blue birds remained, but even they were still from fear of the image coming. Three pillars rose. Black with char and soot. Fire driving them up towards the skies. The fire raging between the three pillars as lightning struck at each of them. A women walked out of the flames, horns upon her head, her arms covered in symbols of power. She had short blond hair, her eyes were blood red. She smiled wickedly see the world of Dragons before she was to begin her work. "Simple world, it's a shame mother will never see it in one piece." She laughed quietly, the echos descending for miles.

Spyro awoke his mouth dry, warm from the thickness of sleep. Cynder was no where in sight. Soon the heavy feeling left him, the morning air was crisp. The fore flies were disappearing into the grass, the sun still rising. Memories tore at his mind, He smelled the scent of flowers in bloom and distant smoke. He looked up, his eyes meeting the blackness in the brightened sky. The smoke rose in giant clouds, the meadow to the east was burning. He jumped up, springing into flight in seconds. The winds pushing his to the side, he fought airily through the winds, his eyes straining the see the fires ahead. Not far now, fires whipped through the grass like water through sand.
