Okay, so I was watching my sister battle Gaul on the consule version of this game, and I was very astonished when...

Gaul put a curse on Spyro, causing him to lose his powers and turn dark!


I guess this "Dark Spyro" thing came from when the creators probably looked at this site! Because I never would have known the creators would come up with such a great idea! What do you have to say?

I find it as an interesting coincidence if anything smilie Given the site's link to Krome when it came to the recent avatar additions, I think they wanted to give the site some discreet "special thanks" or something.

Putting "dark" in front of a character name is cliche`; anyone can do it.

Well, still, it is rather perplexing.

Also, THANK YOU TSR! Finally someone else says that Spyro lost his elemental powers because of Gaul's curse! THANK YOU! ^.^

Gaul's curse didn't turn Spyro into Dark Spyro (we can thank bad timing and the Soul Beam for that), but it did rob Spyro of his powers. It took me forever to figure that out, but after obsessively watching that scene, I made the connection. smilie

well, ahem.....I watched that scene about 20 times before I finally figured out how to beat Gaul. For the first five times, I tried to wake Cynder up, lol. But yeah, at first I thought Spyro was heart broken and so he couldn't use his powers lol!

Heh, I just figured it out instantly; him getting stuck to the ground and then going in for the kill. Big enemies surely know how to telegraph their feelings when they're most vulnerable. smilie
