If you realize it, why don't they allow name changing... but!
your old name is in small letters BELOW your new name.. just an idea

MANY users on MagiStream change their name and it works out fine. They tell their friends and some put a note in their signature and/or profile.

No reason it won't here.

I jsut want to go back to being called SpyroLUVA, as my the name for my NEW SpyroLUVA account is confusing to some. I doubt just that would cause much, if any confusion.

I have changed my name on a forum called egg rescue HQ firstly they send it to a admin/moderate if it's to drastic or inappropriate name change they don't allow it if it's a slight name change or you would be still reconisable with it they allow it for example:

my original name on there was axymypet and then i changed it to arceustheprime and i have been known for wacky names in the past......

It's an idea and how do you know dark won't allow it also i agree with
darby and levi who a pretty much getting ignored when they have an idea better then any of us.

Perhaps some opion to change your name Once in a User-life could be nice, but just constantly changing it is wrong.
If you could change it once like if I could change mine;
Malefor0001 to -EvilMaster-
I wouldn't mind that, but it'd still be wrong...

Yes, bu it would confuse if someone changed their name simply to change a typo.
