What does bumping old topics have to do with people's birthdates?

If you're posting on a topic that's old and you have something on topic to say, you'll be fine.

Depends on how old... a month or so is fine. 2 months to "n" years is spamming. <.>

Well, honestly, I think common sense would say "Don't post there! It's been dead for a year!" or whatever.

Well... then that would mean several people lack said common sense. >.>

But sometimes I bring some old topics up. Like the "Do you got any snow?" Forum post I made. And when I do, many people respond to it.

Great idea! I say little '[OLD]' tags could go on old or ancient topics. Basically a warning that if you don't make a valuable post there it is bumping which is ofcourse against any forum's rules.
