Fan Fanction thread idea. [CLOSED]

So I was just thinking the other day about what people like in a fan fiction when a idea hit me.

What if someone made a thread asking people who visit the Fan Fiction section of the forums what they like in a fan fiction. Example:


What do you like in a fan fiction?

What type of orginization do you like in a fan fiction?

How big a part does romance play in a fan fiction for you?

etc etc...

I think that a thread like this could realy help some fan fiction writers to write storys that appeal to the userbase. I know that I myself being a fan fiction writer( a mediocre one granted) would benefit greatly from this. Though I do see the flaws with the idea being that the community of fan fiction readers is rather small and this might be unnecessary.

So do you think this would be a good idea or even worth making a thread over? I thought about doing it myself but I felt that it would probly just be ignored.

Um... no. Why should there only be stories that appeal to the user base? Everything would be the same!

I was also thinking that would be a drawback to the idea but I forgot to post it for some stupid reason.

I dont realy think that all of a sudden everyone would make their stories only to appeal to the readers. I believe it would only help some writers to get a idea what people want to read and try to include that in their fan fiction. I do however see your valid point.

  • Romance
  • Action
  • Classic
  • Realistic Fiction
  • Story(Legends and such)
  • Fanfic(With no new characters)
  • Real-Life
