Go onto the help files. *points to right top corner* It should help you with everything.

Forum help.

The first thing shows you all the codes for smillies. Simply type them in for a smilly to appear when posting/previewing.

EDIT: Something like this should be in the Site Bugs/Suggestions/Help area.
