The cave was her home. It used to be, before they tore it down. Closed it in. Now, she roams the endless caves, locked in. Tonight, the cave will open up, and free Shadow forever. But I warn you...She will get revenge. Mad dragons always have a special way of getting back at something they hate.

Spyro and Cynder were both sitting in front of their own cave, telling stories. "Umm...Cynder? Did you...?" Spyro whispered only loud enough for Cynder to hear. "What?" Asked Cynder. In the distance, a loud THUD! was heard by both of them. "That?" Squeaked Cynder. Spyro nodded and shrank back into the cave. "Spyro...don't...move..." A large shadowy figure rose into the skies. "you will bow down, under my command! If you don't, I will hunt you until I get my paws on you! I am Shadow, who roamed the empty caves for 1000 years, and tonight, i was freed! I will do anything to get back at the dragon speices that crushed my dream," Shadow's lip curved into a nasty smile.

Yeah....... so what pose and background and age and crest colors and what do they look like?

@ madison: the pose...well, anything, as long as it's evil. the background...mountains. the age........well, she was kept in a cave for 1000 years, but she hasn't aged. she looks 19/20. the crest looks like cynder's in dotd, but silver/gray/white/ish.

"What will we do?" Spyro asked. "We can't listen to her. She's evil." Shadow turned around to see who as talking behind her back, but Spyro and Cynder had slipped into the cave. "I will find them."She mumbled. "No matter how painful it is." She flew silently into the cave that Spyro and Cynder went in, and over heard a conversation between them. "Spyro, she won't find us." "Cynder-" "Not now, Spyro." "Uhh..Cynder-" "Spyro! Stop! She'll hear you." "Oh, too bad. She already did." Shadow said, her nasty smile once again upon her face.

"Shadow..that's your name, isn't it? Well, me and spyro are not going to let you get away with it. Right spyro?" Cynder said, eying her suspiciously. "Uh...she said she was going to get revenge...and hunt us down..." Spyro said, shaking with every sound he made. "Spyro! you can't let fear rule your life! I thought you were braver than that! I can't believe i ever listened to you. I hate how you're acting. we...we...i, i thought we were closer than that." spyro looked up at her. "cynder...i never said i wasn't doing this...i wouldn't let you do something like this alone...i love you..."he saw a tear in cynder's eye after he said it. "I am going to stop you...both of you." Shadow said, and lunged at them. they hopped into the sky, together. suddenly, they heard dark fire being let into the sky. shadow might succeed, spyro thought. but i know cynder won't let her if she tries to mess with her. "what is her problem, anyway? i mean, why did they lock her up if they knew she was in there?" Cynder said, confused. "that's the thing,"spyro looked at her, but they were both zipping through the sky. "they didn't."

"What do you mean, they didn't?" Cynder whisper-yelled. "They wouldn't have closed up the cave if they knew something was in there." Spyro zipped quietly ahead of Cynder. " That's what I'm saying. They didn't know she was still in there." Cynder caught up with him. "Ok...Well, why was she in there?" Spyro spke up. "Cynder, I don't know everything! Maybe it was-" Spyro stopped in the middle of the sentance. "What?" Cynder said. "Because of the...war." Spyro finished.
A long pause followed. "Why does that make you...you know...sad?" Cynder asked worriedly. "Because my parents- my dragon parents- died in the war before my egg hatched.
"I never saw them. I don't know what they looked like..." They sped up and stopped. There was Shadow, waiting for them.

"I have finally caught you." Shadow said as they walked into the cave. Shadow had locked them up. "I will destroy all of the dragons lives forever!" Shadow yelled evilly. "You can't. You can't! You can't do this Shadow. There are millions, maybe trillions of dragons that didn't do anything!" This time when Cynder had spoken to her, Shadow felt the words spoken in her own voice. Memories waved through her, and she closed her eyes. "Shadow?" Spyro said to her. Shadow opened her eyes to a worried look. She cut the wood rope that held a crystal. The only mind-powering crystal in the world. The crystal locked Spyro and Cynder's trap. They unlocked. "Umm...Shadow?" Cynder said. "You set us free."Spyro said. Then, Shadow spoke with a courageous voice, "I know." She said with a warm look in her eye, and a comforting smile.
