Ok,this is my first fan-fic.It takes place a few days after the end of DotD.

PROLOGUE
Spyro had just saved the world from Malefor and is now heading to a celebration.All seems well but there is one more evil to defeat,and nobody knows that the last evil is within Spyro.

Chapter1
"Come on Spyro!",Cynder called,"we are going to be late to the party"
"Don't worry I'll catch up",said Spyro.They were heading to a huge festival to celebrate the defeat of Malefor and the new peace of the world.I should be happy,Spyro thought.But why do i have this strange feeling,when they got to the festival they were greeted by all kinds of cheers.The festival had many games and a lot of food."Hey Spyro,come check this game out",Sparx said."Ok,I'll be over there in a minute",Spyro said.but he started to feel dizzy."Are you ok?",Cynder asked."yeah im fi",Spyro started to say but he blacked out.

There was a storm happening.There was people screaming everywhere it sounded like the city was under attack.He then saw that something was shooting darkness everywhere destroying everything.Then he saw who the evil creature was.It was himself.

Spyro woke up.He saw all of his freinds standing around him."Did you have another vision Spyro?",Cyril asked."It was more like a nightmare", Spyro replied.But was it truly a vision of things to come.

Chapter2

The dreams had been haunting him for a week now.He had been trying to convince himself that they are only dreams.But what if they are the future?he thought.He was sitting inside the top of one of they city's towers when he heard footsteps on the stairs.He saw Sparx first."Wow Cynder your're slow",he said."And i thought Spyro had weight issues".
"Sparx!",Cynder yelled,"I'm going to get you for saying that"."WILL YOU TWO KNOCK IT OFF!",Spyro snapped."Whoa,dude chill",Sparx said."Sorry"'said Spyro."I havent been feeling like myself lately"."what's wrong Spyro",Cynder asked."Your temper has been getting worse all week""I know,"Spyro replied."It's these dreams I have been having,they are getting worse and worse and wont go away."You have been sitting inside for days now".Cynder said,"Why dont we go take a walk through the woods?""I dont know,"said Spyro."Come on",said Cynder."A little fresh air might help you""Ok fine",Spyro replied.Then they all left the city.

Chapter3

Spyro,Cynder,and Sparx were roaming through the woods.This is nice,Spyro thought,Maybe Cynder was right,all I needed was just a little fresh air.Just then there was a rustling noise."Did you guys here that?",Cynder asked."yeah",Spyro replied,"Maybe we should move a little faster."Then the noise started to sound closer."Ok,this is getting a little creepy",Sparx said."Maybe we should head back home now.""Dont worry",said Spyro."It's proboly nothing".Just then a group of apes jumped out and started attacking."AMBUSH!",Sparx cried.Then he hid behind a tree while Cynder and Spyro were fighting off the apes.When the fight was almost over Spyro started to feel enraged again.He pinned one of the apes to a tree and started to strangle him."WHY DID YOU DO THIS?!"Spyro asked,his voice was full of anger."WHO SENT YOU?!"The ape was gasping for breath."It was...It wa....",the ape tried to choke out."IT WAS WHO?!",Spyro asked,getting angrier by the second.His eyes started to turn red.He had just about killed the ape when Cynder cried out,"Spyro stop!"Spyro let the ape go it then started running away full of terror.Spyro's eyes turned back to their normal color."what was that about?",Sparx asked."You almost murdered that guy.""I'm not sure..I dont know what came over me."Spyro said."Come on let's get back home",Cynder said.Then they all started walking back.The scariest thing ,Spyro thought to himself.When he was choking that ape.It almost felt good.

Chapter4


Spyro,Sparx,and Cynder all went back to the city.When Spyro was just about to get to his room he started to feel dizzy again.As before he passed out.

He was having that dream again.This time he saw himself walking out the city gate.Then all of a sudden his scales started to turn black.He screamed in pain trying to resist,but it was useless.His eyes turned pure white and he floated into the air.Evil Spyro had returned.He then started to shoot darkness everywhere destroying buildings and forcing people to run for their lives.Some tried to calm him down,others tried to fight him,but they all failed.Then he heard a girl scream.He finally saw who it was,it was Cynder and she was laying on the ground completely motionless......


He woke up breathing hard.Now he decided he would have to leave the city and the others behind.He also had to find a person who could tell him what was happening.He knew just who to see...

Chapter5

He knew who he had to see:The Chronicler.He could tell Spyro what was happening.While Spyro was just about out of the city gate Sparx and Cynder caught up to him."Spyro,buddy,where are you going?",Sparx asked."Im leaving to go find The Chronicler",replied Spyro,"He will be know what is happening to me.""We're coming with you",said Cynder."No"'said Spyro firmly,"I'm going alone."Then he started to walk away.When he was far enough away not to hear them Cynder said to Sparx,"We should follow him""I dont know",said Sparx,"He seems like he really wants to be alone.""We will follow him secretly",Cynder said,"Besisdes it is too dangerous for him to make that trip alone.""Im still not sure",replied Sparx."Suit yourself",said Cynder as she started walking off.""Wait",said Sparx,"Dont leave me here all by myself"Then he flew after her.

Wow thats awesome! Try to make a new paragraph every time someone talks. Its fine if you do a sentence after the words they say but it looks like one big paragraph. But I ask for more, MOAR!

Chapter6

Spyro was walking down the road to The Chronicler's temple.He was all alone or so he thought.Then all of a sudden he heard a noise.Then a bunch of pirates came running down the hill and blocked his path.He started fighting them,also at the same time he was trying to keep his anger under control.Then just when one of the pirates came up behind him Cynder jumped out and stopped him."Cynder what are you doing here?"Spyro asked. "What does it look like?"replied Cynder,"I'm watching your back.When all the pirates were gone Spyro turned to Cynder."I told you to stay behind." "If we stayed behind you would of got killed",Sparx said just now catching up. "Fine",said Spyro."We will stick together untill we find The Chronicler."

Chapter7


They finnally made it to The Chronicler's temple."Something doesnt feel right",said Spyro as they entered the temple.
"Is it just me?"Sparx asked,"or is this place more deserted then usual?"They continued to search around untill they got to the room where The Chronicler should be."hello",spyro called,"Chronicler are you here?"His voice echoed.The temple was lifeless.Spyro saw a book laying in the center of the room.It was already opened.He read what was on the page and this is what was written:


The Curse of the Purple Dragon.
When Malefor turned dark he brought a curse apon all of the purple dragons of the future.On the anniversery of Malefor turning evil any purple dragon that had once been dark before would then be corrupted forever unless the dragon could defeat the evil within.

There should have been more but some of the page was torn.Spyro closed the book and ran out of the temple.Cynder followed him."Cynder",Spyro said,"I have to go somewhere isolated where I cant hurt anyone when this happens."
"You dont have to do that",Cynder said,"Maybe we could help you."
"No",Spyro said with anger growing in his voice."I have to go alone this time."
"But Spyro..."Cynder started to say but then
Spyro yelled,"I SAID NO!"Then he turned around and slashed Cynder across the face with his claws.He then drew back with a look of hurt and guilt on his face.He started running away.
"Spyro wait",Cynder said,but he was already gone.Then Cynder noticed that Sparx was missing."Sparx",she called,"Where are you?"
Then a voice said,"I got you,hahahaha"Next thing she knew she was tied up and muzzeled.

It seems odd to me that Spyro would just run away. If he becomes evil he would probly just come back. You would think he would try and find a way to "defeat the evil within."

I also wonder what happened to Cynder...

yeah I should have made it a little clearer.Spyro thinks that if he is in a isolated place with no distractions he can fight off the evil and also keep himself from hurting anyone.

Hope that cleared things up a little.

Chapter8

Spyro was still running up the mountain.He couldn't believe himself,Cynder had tried to help him and he scratched her across the face.Just then another ambush happened.It was trolls this time.A lot of them.He tried to back away but was quickly drawn into the fight.He soon began to fight in a bloodthirsty way.His eyes turned red.He was doing more then just killing his enemies.He was hacking them apart and even destroying the corpses.Then it was over.He snapped out of his killing spree and came back to his senses.He looked around and saw he was in a circle of blood and gore and he knew he was the one who did it all.I'm turning into a monster,he thought,I have to get away from all this fighting before I do something even worse.He then continued he run up the mountain.


Meanwhile Cynder awoke inside of a cage.She was still muzzeled but could now move her limbs.She tried to bust out of the cage but had no success.She saw who had captured her,it was one of the illegal traders who roam this area."Ah,you are finnally awake",he said."Dont try to escape it will do you no good."Cynder only glared at him."I wonder what I should sell you for."he said."Should I give you over to the arena fights or should I see how much money I would get for your skin?"He then pointed at a caged up Sparx,who was asleep."I might even find someone looking for a lantern."They then headed into the trading camp.

Chapter9

Spyro finnally found an isolated cave at the mountain top.The anniversery of Malefor turning evil was approaching and he could feel the evil growing inside of him.He tried to focus his thoughts on peacefull things in an attempt to fight the curse.


Cynder saw where the trader was taking her.It was the place where she would be skinned and turned into armor and clothing.When they opened the cage she would have one chance to escape.The skinner tried to stick his hand in the cage,Cynder clawed at him."Be careful",the trader said,"She is a fiesty one."
"As long as her skin makes good armor I dont care,"the skinner said.He opened the cage and Cynder lashed out attacking with her claws.She then broke out of the muzzel and after stunning the two with her fear breath and breaking Sparx out of his cage she started running and Sparx followed they mangaged to make it out safely.

Hang in there buddy! I think you fan fiction is good and I dont understand while there are not alot of other posters.

One flaw I see is that your chapters are realy small and new ones come only every two or so days. Maybe if you can update your fan fiction more often or increase chapter size a bit more people would read it. Also perhaps you could try and get more into detail about the events that occur.

^Thanks for the tips.Usually the only reason I dont post a chapter one day is becuase of an event or I'm at my mom's house(she hasnt had interntet for about a year now)

I'm thinking about the next chapter I will have it posted sometime today.

Chapter10

A large snowstorm had started.Spyro was glad he found a cave.He still wondered what was on the missing peice in The Chroniclor a.k.a Ignitus's book.Then he was a shadow like figure outside.It held up a peice of paper.
"looking for this?",it taunted.Spyro ran outside.He was then surrounded by apes.The figure took off his cloak and was also an ape."I am Thal, brother of Gaul".he said."And we will have our revenge."The apes attacked Spyro while Thal sat back and watched.

Meanwhile,Cynder and Sparx had just escaped from the trading camp.They got caught in the same snowstorm."We won't ever find Spyro in this wheater,"Cynder said."We should head back to Warfang and get help"

"Sounds like a plan to me!,"Sparx shouted over the roaring winds.

Back on the mountain top Spyro was still fighting the apes.He had gotten out of control now.He had become a bloodthirsty animal ripping,tearing,and shredding his enemies apart,and he was enjoying it."Thats right",Thal said."Use your anger,your hatred."Wait a second,Spyro thought through a mind clouded with evil thoughts.He knows about the curse,he is trying to force me to turn dark.He couldnt let that happen.All the apes execpt for Thal that were still alive were on the ground helpless."Come on",Thal said,"Finish them"

"No",replied Spyro,"I wont do it"

"I said come on!",yelled Thal,then he kicked Spyro real hard into the mountain side.

Then Spyro's scales turned black and his eyes turned white,He rose up into the air."Big mistake",he said in his dark voice.

"Yes,yes",Thal said as he reached for some sort of magical staff,but Spyro was too quick and he blasted the staff with his breath of darkness.The staff then went plummeting down the mountain and shattered.

"Now you die,"Spyro said.He blasted Thal with darkness but Thal landed on his dreadwing and was still alive.

"You havent seen the last of me!",Thal shouted as he flew away on his dreadwing.Spyro then flew down the mountain looking for his next target.The curse and Spyro's dreams were coming true...

I tried to make this chapter longer to make up for the shorter ones.Hoped you liked it.I will post Chp.11 soon.

Chapter11

We must have taken a wrong turn somewhere,Cynder thought.They had been searching for what seemed like ages for the path back to Warfang and could not find it.The winds were too strong for Cynder to try and fly.

"Sparx can you see anything?!",Cynder asked trying to raise her voice above the roaring winds.

"I don't think s....",Sparx started to say but then he saw a glimmer shining through the snowstorm that had been raging for hours now."Over here,"he replied."It looks like someone made a fire."

They walked over towards the fire.They then wished they hadn't becuase:sitting right by the fire.Was an ape.Sparx flew behind a tree.Cynder also started to back up for she thought she would be at a disadvantage against the brute ape in this snowstorm.

It was too late though.He noticed her.Cynder and Sparx started to make their escape when the ape said,

"Wait,I wont hurt you."He then made a gesture for them to come sit by the fire.

"How do we know we can trust you?",Sparx asked.

"If I was going to attack you dont you think I would have done it by now?",the ape replied.

Reluctanty Cynder and Sparx went by the fire.It felt good after being stuck in the freezing snow storm for hours.

"Let me introduce myself",the ape said,"My name is Thal.""And you are?"

"I'm Cynder and this is Sparx"Cynder answered."We have been looking for our freind,"she continued.

"He is another dragon and he is big and purple",Sparx finished.

"Yes I have seen him",Thal said."While me and my other apes were walking along a mountain path,all of a sudden a red-eyed purple dragon bursted out at us.""I tried to explain to him that we apes are good now and we are just looking for ways to prove ourselfs.""But,he would not listen he started going mad he attacked my friends,tearing throats,ripping out thier insides.""It was pure horror.""He then turned dark and faced me.""But I was lucky enough to escape unlike my friends."

"That's impossible",Cynder said."Spyro would never do that."

"Yeah",Sparx said an agreement.

"Look if you want proof I will take you up the mountain tommarow.""Now we should all get some sleep."

Cynder was in some kind of dream world.It was like the ones Spyro described.There was not much here just void with some small platforms leading up to a temple.Cynder jumped up the platforms and made her way inside the temple.

"Welcome Cynder",she heard a familar voice say.

"Chronicler that doesnt sound like you",Cynder said.

The voice replied."It is me Ignitus I am the new Chronicler."

"Why did you call me here?",Cynder asked.

"The ape you are with is not who he says he is",Ignitus answered,"You must leave him immediatly and return to Warfang."

Cynder woke up.She also awoke Sparx and told him about her dream.They started to leave when they heard Thal say..

"Stop them!"then a group of apes jumped out of the bushes and started to surround Cynder and Sparx.

Good chapter! I like how Thal was trying to trick Cynder and Sparx.
