Well personally I am a bit torn beetween Old and new! I like the old ones because of the storyline and sweet graphics and then the New ones beacuse of the characters develpoments and the story lines are soooo cool. But over all I think the old ones were better, Just....

The new ones much worse in terms of NOT MUCH ORIGINALITY, which is the biggest reason for me buying SD. The old ones had better stories and STEWART COPELAND's MUSIC. I h8ed the way they messed with the characters--moneybags is russian, spyro's arrogant, hunters rude, so forth, and no elora. I also think the new ones lacked story. While new ones have good graphics, that's just technical, and AHT music was not so good. The new ones have fun game play, but not as fun innovative and original as, well, teh original.
AND ETD IS JUST INEXCUSABLE. i'm sorry, but they really pulled this out of their crapchute before the first day of the holiday season and pretended it was quality spyro. They seemed to be taking a good direction, then bam! We see they slapped it together in a hurry. I like the direction their taking with the NEW new one in development though. Looks like a better story line, better bosses, more awesome and challenging gameplay, according to previews. |

Yea The characters were a bit dumm and the story lines WERE kind of weak but if u DON"T compare them to the wonderful first ones then they aren't that bad?
Music wise DEFINATLY stewert Coplands music was way better!!!!!!! Hey did u know that he made the music before he knew what level he was doing it for? and so he called them after random nouns that popped into his head first! like lofty towers was "Potato" and dark passage was "avacado" and Dream WEavers was "Stoat"!! It's kind of funny don't ya think? ![]() |

Weird about the music...cuz all of it was so fit to the levels, especially the one in lofty castle. and yeah, i read about how he named the music. guy's a genius. Who did the music in AHT? that's the first time it wasn't copeland.

AHT's music was just some random in an audio company who tried to imatate Stewart Copeland! But Copeland did thue music for ETD before retireing from game music
![]() ![]() I know its weird hw the music was so suited to the levels and worlds!! must just be his music genius! ![]() ![]() |

ANB is a whole lot better then AHT. I thought the colers in AHT were too bright and gay, no, wait, unfantastic is a better word.

After playing ANB, I have discovered that it is the best Spyro game ever, thus, making the "new" games better than the "old" games, but not much better.

My favorite game is AHT, but in a general mode I Think the old Spyro is better than the new... Much more originality...
ANB is a Great Game... Have some great elements... But isn't the same Spyro.

I totally agree with everything you said there!!! You took the words right out of my mouth. And yes, Stewart's music was AWESOME. I am a huge fan of his spyro music and have it all on my computer. I couldn't believe the change in the music after he stopped doing it. AHT music was... ok... I guess.... a tad cliche.... But not even near the genius that is Stewart's wonderful, orginal style.

Hehe, I got it from a site that has a lot of dwonaloadble game music which is hard to find. I don't think I'm allowed to post the link to it here (forums can get pretty angry about that sort of stuff), so mail me at princess-peachie@hotmail.com and i'll send you the address.
