The Game after Eternal Night should have Spyro as an Elder.

The question is, will it be possible? Spyro has always been portrayed as a hatchling, and that image alone is just timeless. I mean, lots of kids in fiction tend to end up being eternally kids. Tails from the Sonic series has been around for 16 years and he's always been an 8 year old, Diddy Kong doesn't seem to have grown up much either, and even Klonoa can't be imagined as an adult in the same league as Gantz or something.

That's what worries me though - people remember fictional characters for what they are, and it's very rare that they ever grow old.

Hmm. Spyro being an elder? He's too small, and still asks questions. He even seems to be still learning his new abilities...

I don't think Sierra is ready to take a step like that.

No video game genre really has. <.<

spyro should be small forever. he's so cute!
really though, i think it would just ruin the game series if at anytime they made him an elder.

An older version wouldn't market as well, I think. We've all come acccustomed to spyro as a child and wouldn't be ready for such a drmatic change.

Maybe in the ending of the game, he could be an elder dragon.

I don't think so! ^ The first one, A New Beginning, doesn't it mean when he started out as a YOUNG dragon? Then it goes to Spyro the Dragon, the first one? Spyro's still small, but if Spyro doesn't have amazing abilities in StD, then that must mean that when he was a young dragon, he must've lost those abilities somehow....

The Legend series is in fact a reboot, just like you said.

I think that Sierra would be capable of making more Legend-esque games before an elder Spyro.

Everyone knows my view point on the whole reboot issue. I don't call it a reboot. I consider it just a prequel series about a different generation's Spyro in a different era.

From what Krome has said or not said it is not known 100% for sure that LoS is a true reboot or just prequel and even if they did come out and made that statement it wouldn't matter. I am integrating both series into one brand new storyline I came up with all 3 of the upcoming Spyro: Legacy of Ages films

I could imagin that you will see him on some stories page, like when The Cronicler tells about The Dark Master, and then maybe Ignitus will tell what happens 50 years after.

Not yet, maybe in the very last game as that is what it implies.

Yeah, I'd like to see more games from this new universe after the Legend trilogy ends.

Well, to me I think it would be kinda cool if they made Spyro an elder, but not until another 50 years...smilie LOL JK But I think it's better to keep Spyro little. Unless, in the next game they can have Spyro zapped by some kind of power source and be turned big for a while and then turn back to his normal self again! That would be cool in MY opinion...

Teenager/adult Spyro is already iffy with me... so elder Spyro? Absolutely not unless it's some kind of "in the future..." epilogue.

As for Spyro turning into a teenager/adult... I say no good. Spyro is meant to be a small hatchling. That's one of his main traits and main appealing points of the serie (not only do you get to be a dragon but you get to prove that size truly doesn't matter by beating up foes many times your size).

The most I could accept would be a Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time-esque twist plot-wise (where Spyro would need to become an adult artificially for some sections) but even then, I wouldn't make most of the game adult sections and make sure that the player is periodically forced to return Spyro to his "normal" form to clear some passages.

But well, that's my opinion.

I agree fully with that opinion. In my mind, it would just seem more awkward trying to do the same things Spyro does in the Legend trilogy as an older Spyro.

Woah. Ok, this just reminded me of something. I was cleaning and organizing my drawings (dragons, Sonic, Spyro, fairires, my character Guinevere, etc.) and I found a pic of Spyro that I drew when he is grown! LOL It was made in the beginning of last year, and even though it's drawn on notebook paper, it still looks really good, especially the designs and shading I did on him...

But then that contradict the old series for alot of reasons:
1. Theres nothing about the dark master, or apes in the old ones.
2. There'd have to be only the fire element, because in tyhe old ones that all he knew.
3. In the old ones a very obvious thing... SPARXS COULDN'T TALK! lol

But seriously i don't think it woukd be a good idea.

I don't know how long you've been here... but we've been in a long debate how the Legend trilogy is becoming more and more of a reboot.

Krome hasn't stated that it is DEFINITELY a reboot, but there are too many things that won't allow the two continuities to be connected.
