Rumors have conjured a possible The Legend of Spyro: The Fury of Darkness.
Although there are even more rumors of no new games, since there is such a time gap between the Dawn of the Dragon game and now. There should be a game now if there is even to be another.

A New Beginning: 2006
The Eternal Night: 2007
Dawn of the Dragon: 2008
Nothing new yet: 2010 (Almost a two-year gap!)

Spyro the Dragon
A prequel to the very First Game, we see Spyros life as a youngster, how he met Flame and Ember, so on. But then, one day, a terrible curse sets down upon the Dragon world. Because Spyro is a Purple Dragon [It was not just tLoS that Purple Dragons were special], the Elders believe he is their only hope and send him on a quest to find out what is happening. But when he enters a mysterious swamp he meets a Dragonfly named Sparx. Sparx and Spyro stick together, and meet many friends from the original Spyro game such as the Balloonist and learn why Gnasty gnorc moved into the Dragon Realms.

The main Enemy of the game would be some sort of evil Dragon that is rebelling against the ways of the Dragons. Or, perhaps a enemy from another world, and not the Dragon Realms. But whoever he is, it is not Gnasty Gnorc. He plays a minor part in the game possibly at the beginning where you can see him moving into the Dragon Realms.

Classic characters, I am not sure on many. But they would have to appeared in only StD because Spyro has not met any of the characters after the first game. Some characters would be Flame and Ember - I'm making an Excuse for them because they seemed to know Spyro. The Baloonist I am sure of because I want him to have a more major role.

I hape they come up with something that is at least fun. I'd hate to see Spyro continue with dullness or stop with LOS: Dawn of the Fail.
