Okay, so I've never beaten YotD, and that's one of my favorite Original Spyro games. But, I've gotten pretty darn close. I was on the last level, and one day the controller just stopped working. I couln't move him at all or press any button.
Basically, it was like the controller was disconnected. couldn't do a thing. It wasn't frozen, I just couldn't doa anything. At the time, I thought it was the controller. I tried switching it to another controller, but it was useless.
(This was on my PS1) I decided it might be the system, so I switched to the PS2 and plugged in the PS1 memory card, but it did the same thing. I couldn't do anything at all. So i took out the memory card, and I could control it again. I plugged it back in, and it didn't work again ( and so on, you get the picture)
So it's been the memory card all along. Just one day in the middle of the game it gave me this problem, so I can't save my game.
Basically, I can't save my game because the memory card is screwed up. What's the deal? Can I fix this? I doubt it, but we're low on money at the time so it wouldn't be easy to get another one. Plus, I'd have to start all over, and it sadly took me years to get so far.

Well it depends how it plays out... If you play the PS1 so long the memory card could be over restraint meaning when ever the chip is plugged in to the system.... It could.... uhh i dont know the word im looking for here but when you plug it in it could glitch with the systems propertys such in your case the controller, or it could erase everything on the memory card, Maybe somethings got into the memory card... Try blowing into it.

But if you hardly play it... I havent a clue whats wrong then... Srry.

Hmm I'll try that. This hapened maybe a year ago?? It's been messed up since, so I'm not sure if it's because I was playing to long.

Ok why don't you follow these steps

1. get a new mem card

2.SAVE the old one

3.put both of them in ur ps1

4. have no disc in

5. go to browser

6. go to your yotd game and copy that game on to the new mem card

7.simple you have fixed the hack in your game

NOTE:this may not accually work for your ps1!!! i did it with ps2!

but still try

I'll try that ^
I did not hack it. I originally rented Year of the Dragon and accidentally returned Ripto's Rage in it's place.

I'll try what you said, Shadow5222
I don't think it'll work on my ps1 because it always goes straight to the game instead of that menu, but I can do that on the ps2. Thanks smilie
Hopefully it works.

Unless you wanna pay a ridiculous amount of money on Ebay for un-opened copies..
