The temple was running out of fighters, and some had lost their skills. Nobody was there to help them, and the Chronicler was healing a few injured warriors. What to do, what to do. Then it came to him, eggs. What if some of the baby dragons grew up to be natural fighters? The plan was working, since there was one dragon who had not layed any eggs at the year of the dragon, and she deserved to have at least one.
"Arakna! ARAKNA!" He hissed to her, as she squinted open her eyes.
"What could you want at this time of night? Are you mad?" Arakna grumbled.
"No, of course I'm not. You must lay an egg!" He whispered to her. Arakna looked up, surprised.
"You can't honestlybe saying that I have to lay an egg?" She asked, in shock and excitement. He nodded.
"I'm afraid so." Arakna was so happy that she pounded down the dragon temple like a herd of sumo wrestling dragons, and immediately burst into the room of the chronicler.
"Dear Arakna, what do you want?" The chronicler asked.
"I must lay an egg! He tells me to!" She cried. He was a dragon without a name, and he was extremely mysterious too, with eyes as grey as rock.
"Well then, this necklace should be around you when you go to the nesting room," the Chronicler smiled at the enthusiasm of this young dragon. Arakna thanked him and dashed to the nesting room, and lay there, still as still for half an hour. Then it happened, there was an egg beneath her! Arakna was extremely pleased, and took it to the Egg nest room. The dragon in there smiled and placed the egg tenderly in a nest near the window.
"The sunlight will strenthen this egg, and let tme examine it to see what type of dragon it will be," the dragon said, and stared at it curiusly for a while, and then put it down.
"This dragon of yours is definately going to be a fighter in the making. It will be speedy too," she said. Arakna was pleased. Now the temple would have a great fighter!
