Why do some of you guys prefer Ripto's Rage compared to Year of the Dragon?

I liked the story, level designs, gameplay, and music just a little more. Plus, Elora. It's a very close call, though. YotD is a very good game, I just like RR a teeny bit more.

RR = Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer (PSX)
EtD = Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (PS2, GameCube)

No, they aren't the same thing.

You must be pretty dumb to actually not be able to tell what's what.

More PPL get G2G/RR as thier first Spyro/PS game... GHAAAAKIIIIMXXX

These are some reasons why I prefer Ripto's Rage:

- I felt as though the boss battles in RR were far superior to those in YotD. They were just more memorable to me.

- The story was better and Ripto was a better antagonist than the Sorceress.

- RR's music was more memorable.

- Levels such as Metropolis, Magma Cone and Mystic Marsh in RR were more memorable than the levels in YotD.

- Playing as the other characters in YotD sucked. I suppose Sheila was okay but I hated using the rest.

Though I liked YotD's music better, I enjoyed the story, levels, boss battles, characters and challenges of GTG better. <.<;

I just didn't like Ripto's rage.

Ripto's Rage did not have skateboarding.

YES. I hate those skateboarding levels SO MUCH. >(

Also, Ripto was a lot more intimidating. The Sorceress is a great villain, but she's sort of this abusive mother type and is a softer sort of evil, in a way. Ripto's aggressive passion for violence actually scared me the first time I played RR and still gives me the creeps today. ("You disgusting little creature! I'll KILL you!" is the most straightforward violent statement I've ever heard in a game to date.)

I've never played ripto's rage

RR got a little bit boring after I fully completed it. I think I remember YotD being much better, although unfortunately I don't think I even managed to finish it halfway before the disc got snapped.
