How about an Instant Messaging feature. At the bottom of the Forum page, click on any other member's name, select IM on their profile and you offer them to go into an IM conversation with you. Good idea, or is it not forum-like?

It doesn't sound too likely to happen. I mean, if someone's comp can handle normal IM programs, they probably wouldn't be able to handle a forum's.
