Old Topic Bumps [CLOSED]

I know that new members who joined here on darkspyro are excited to post, but some just post on topics that are older than 3 months and bring them brought back to life, and they obviously didn't read the rules. It gets annoying when they bump old topics that had a history of arguments, and they bring them back to page 1 of the forum with only nonsense in their messages. Most of us know that it's against the rules to bump a dead topic, but some new members do it without reading the rules first. Then we tell them it's wrong to do so, and they'll respond saying that they didn't know bumping topics is against the rules.

Geez, Shrazer, I have noticed that dark52 hasn't been responding to some problems lately. No need to be smart and take your anger out on me.

It does get annyoing when new users do that though. I read the rules befor i even joined.

Maybe dark52 could add a pop-up message when someone tries to post on an old topic. It would say 'This topic is old. Please post on an active topic.'

They would listen to the admin, but probably not other users.

If it truly is a pointless post in an old topic then just report the post and it'll soon enough vanish back down into the depths again. Give new members a bit of time to get used to the generally accepted behaviour before baying for their blood.
