At the end of the battle with Malefor, those dragon spirits hadn't appeared? I highly doubt Spyro and Cynder would have won... just something I noticed.

EDIT: The dragon spirits were not summoned by Ignitus, thank you very much.

They were summoned by Iggy. Its a 50/50 chance who would have wone.

How where they summoned by Iggy???? Wheres the proof of that. The crystal they were had millions of spirits trapped inside, dead dragons. They might escape every once and a while.

There's nothign to say they were summoned by Ignitus, they could have been the past purple dragons that Malefor claimed to have existed- they were purple after all.

And in a way, Spyro didn't defeat Malefor- the spirit things did, they dragged him away and did whatever they did to him/trapped him in the crystal thingy (possibly), Spyro and Cynder just knocked him off his feet with a bit of purple/convexity. Maybe if the spirits hadn't come, Spyro and Cynder would have had to do some more fighting and actually killed Malefor.
He wasn't in the worst state after three battles, and taking into account the size of Spyro and Cynder compared to him, and he is the Dark Master, so he's pretty much got the advantage.

He is a dead dragon him self so he told the other dead dragons in the crystal to go out and get him.

I think lots of people thought of that already, it was basicly Sierra's way of saying "Spyro and Cynder can't defeat Malefor on their own, so they need the help from some divine power"... How original
