I kind of got a sneaky feeling that they are going to at least make one more Spyro game. I pity the possible outcome though, as in I know fair enough a piece of my dreams. As in Imagine an extra PS1 game coming to town sort of thing. Yet the Spyro graphics may look old or contain bugs on a PS3.

Spyro didn't die at the end of DotD, and it's been confirmed that there are more Spyro games going to be made. DotD is the last game of the trilogy, but not the last Spyro game.

Mike Graham confirmed that there are going to be more Spyro games being made in the future. Not "one more spyro game", but more Spyro games.

Yeah, I'd say it's going to take a miracle for Spyro to be a decent game... provided Activision plans on releasing a new Spyro game.

On the offhand, there have been people making games that are cheap to them and not as cheep to us. And for no clear reason, a good company makes cheap games that sound good to the consumer. Yet was made junk to us, but it could still have a good story and appeal. But have a lot of sneaky problems. This is why we make sure that all of your money is spent on products that are made properly, not just laziness. Which could be the main problem when we go on to the next Spyro game.

Spyro could actually be stuck with lazy jerks who don't care too much about the consumer, but on their riches.

Oh I have one thing to mention, Since Insomiac sold Spyro to Activision. The Spyro games went down hill from the first game after Spyro went to Activision. This makes you wonder, what did Insomiac do wrong, the answer, the lack of homework.

From what I know Spyro was not sold by Insomniac ,he was sold by Universal who had his licence the whole time, Insomniac just made the games .They couldn't decide anything...
Correct me if I'm wrong...

But yeh, ever since they sold him things went pretty much downhill for Spyro
and then there was the reboot...(completly unneccesary IMO,I mean the Spyro games of that time were NOT sucking SO badly that they had NO other choice but to completely reboot the whole thing...)

Actually the Universals was bought up by a French company, and the Spyro franchise came with them.

Actually, Universal Interactive owned the Spyro license and collaborated with Mark Cerny of Cerny Games, Inc. and Insomniac Games in creating the Spyro trilogy, but the games were published by Sony Computer Entertainment America. When Insomniac announced they were taking a break from Spyro to make Ratchet & Clank, Universal withdrew Insomniac as the developer. Universal Interactive was bought out by the larger, rapidly expanding Vivendi Universal which bought out the licensing and publishing rights to Spyro from UI and SCEA. So VU published Spyro, but continued using the Universal Interactive name. When VU was hitting shaking financial grounds, it sent Spyro to one of its many subsidiaries, Sierra, for future publishing. Unfortunately, the situation only got worse financially for VU, which led to the Activision-Vivendi Merger in 2008. As a subsidiary of VU, Sierra was absorbed into Activision as part of the merger.

If I had to guess, I'd say Sierra will continue publishing the Spyro games (as in, they will be credited during the game's start-up sequence), but Activision will simply place its logo on future Spyro game boxes. I doubt they'll get any more involved than that. <.<;

Vivendi was the French company I refered to (the Universal part was added after they bought Universal Interactive).

Now if I were a main company, I would buy back a game immediately after a company does poorly on a game. Rather come down to this disaster in the future, and face the outcome of angry fans.

You pretty much just summed up DotD for me. Of all my games, that one was probably the game I wish the most I wouldn't have paid full price for. $50 was a rip off for a crappy game. If I had wanted something like DotD, I would've just went on to Netflix and watched Lord of the Rings for free >.>

Fun fact about video game based movies:

Rarely to the publishers/developers/staff on a video game franchise work with the staff of the movie. Most VG staff immediately regret a movie being made about their game. Shigeru Miyamoto himself, when asked about the Super Mario Bros. movie in the 90s, said he had nothing to do with the idea and regretted the movie ever being made.

I know that. But how did they escape. When Ignitus came to Spyro he said something about "when a dragon dies, it does not truly leave this world. It's spirit stays bonding itself with nature and hope for the future" or something like that. I thought he died? I'm confused.

Yeah, but when the Chronicler looked in the Book of Death, which when each time a dragon dies, a new page is written in the book, he didn't find Spyro and Cynder amoung the pages. So they're still alive, and survived.
