The second piece is traditional art. I actually drew the characters on two pieces of paper, then I scannerized them, and attacked them with Paint. I'm a traditional artist, but I prefer to use GIMP when I'm coloring (due to scanner, that kills colours).

Traditional art IS amazing. I used to suck at it when I was young, and maybe I still suck at it. :B
The easy thing about those drawings are the scales: they're pretty easy and fun to do.

She's Kayla Kidd (the name comes after a famous pirate called William Kidd, that is also the name of her father). She will probably appear in one of my comics (if I move my lazy butt to work).
