Chapter one

I wondered across the dark forest. It was long doorway down to nowhere. I didn't know where I was going. I never knew where I was going. Everything was silent but my heart pounding like a jungle drum playing again and again, never to stop. The tall, bosky, shadow shooting trees stared down at me struggling through the mud infested slush spread around the land. They sneered, but I didn't scuttle away like a coward beetle. I was not scared. Everything was like a black cat in my life, luck didn't even exist. I tripped over a smooth round stone. I didn't cry though, I just got some of the dust in my eye. I smeared the tears that streamed from my eye like the rain punching the ground rapidly like air-born arrows in a war. A bird's caw broke the silence. I perked up to see, but no one was there. I moved up taller and glared. Unexpectingly I saw a strange swirl into the setting. It was telling me to go in. I leaped in, noticing it was a portal to another world...

Chapter two

"Under attaaa...ack!" Yelled a plump rodent rushing past me. More alike ran past, following the leading rodent. He swung his razor sharp sword in mid air and yelled. I couldn't help but jump back in fright as the last of its shine shined in my eye.
"But si..er... Doncha t'ink its gonna get borin' if we keep'pin on pratis?" One of the rodents asked, sniffing his petite pink nose up. Some of the rodents were shaking from the leader's shouting.
"Y'know the rule, pratice makes perfection," He said, standing up tall in honor of the policy. They stood tall of his words too.
"Sir! Danger in zee zone! Danger! Sharan repotin' danger!" One yelled at the sight of me. They stared at me.
"Yur a funneh lukin' cretur aren't ya?" The pink nosed rat spoke up, examing me.
"Bull's 'orns, bat's wings and it hav the tail of zee devil!" Sharan mumured to the other rodents. I heard him, they knew I heard him.
