Who do you like better as the voice for Sparx in the Legend of Spyro series? I kind of like both, but I really prefer David Spade. His voice is made for Sparx's look and personality, especially with all the sarcasm and such. lol Although I doubt it, I really really REALLY hope that David Spade is going to play the voice of Sparx in the next TLoS game. Who do you like better?

Billy West... he actually TRIED with Sparx's voice.

Also, Spade sounds slightly drunk in some of the scenes in ANB. <.<;

i use to like spade doing sparx for some reason... but listening to bill do his voice changed my mind

spade, even tho he was somewhat decent, made him sound to older.

I will say Billy West is a better Sparx. And I agree with you, SpyroXCynder. Davis Spade made Sparx sounds like an 18 year old or 20 year old dragonfly.

Billy West sounds like he actually cared about his performance in the role, David Spade sounded bored and/or hung-over. West is Best!

Yeah, you did. ^ David Spaed was alright, but he didn't sound like he was drunk to me.

Well, if he wasn't drunk he was very bored or uninterested since he gives little to no emotion most of the time. Or maybe the writers forgot to give him cues for the emotion he should show in the script, 'cause if so all is forgiven.

Well, let me say... Billy West is way better in my opinion! He's very energtic as Sparx and funnier than David Spade.

I love David Spade, but him- not-so-much of a voice-actor, tv/movie star - yes. I grew out of him for being Sparx.

Plus did any of you know that Billy West is 56 years old!? That's awesome, he's a great VA, I hope he voices Sparx in the third game and the movie! ^___^

David Spade = unfunny midget who does sitcoms for some reason.
Billy West = hilarious old guy who is the voice of so many wonderful characters.

I prefer Billy West BY FAR. David Spade just sounds...drunk and/or stoned.

Though I dug David Spade in the previous game, I seemed to grow into Billy West's role a lot more. The public seemed to think he ended up being an annoying character now, but I think Billy was best suited for that kind of role, at least to make him so much more distinguishable and optimistic for the job. The guys at Vivendi got it right with this one

I thought Billy West put a lot more effort into his acting, was a lot funnier and was more fitting to Sparx's character Sparx than David was. I mean, actually laughed at Sparx's quirky and humorous nature this time at points compared to David's boring, droning attempt in ANB. I'm really glad they made this voice change. What a difference !

I'll go with Billy West it made sparx sound younger unlike spade.

I sorta like David Spade, but I think Billy West does a better job of Sparx. He makes Sparx seem more...well, just more what you would expect Sparx to be.

Exactly... Sparx turned more into a humorous character than a sarcastic character like how Spade did Sparx.

*sigh* I still love David Spade. I also dislike Billy West alot more because he is in Futurama, and that show really really really scares me! It creeps me out.... Also why I hate him. But not just because of that, because he makes Sparx sound more boring, and too different. David Spade is all the better in my opinion.

IMO I think that they both are good voice actors for Sparx.

David Spade all the way. I thought that Billy West was pretty decent as Sparx, but at some points he sounded like he had helium in him. And David Spade was more joke-worthy, in my opinion, in the Legend Of Spyro game.

Oh good god, Spade of course. Those who think his delivery was uninspired don't know Spade. His laid-back, snarky drawl is his signature. He was great as Sparx and great, incidentally, in "The Emperor's New Groove".

Billy West is, of course, a very good cartoon voice actor, but sometimes he doesn't put a lot of personality in his voices - they just sound funny. Actually, let me amend that - the *only* character he's voiced that he managed to put some character into IMO was Stimpy the cat from "Ren and Stimpy". He is lousy as Sparx. Very annoying. I wanted Spyro to "Fry" him (pun intended).

If Spade actually TRIED... I'd rather have him voicing Sparx. West's voice kinda creeps me out... ._.

Watch and episode of 'Just Shoot Me' and you will see the that he spoke with the same effort that he did with Sparx.
