They could see some of the cheetahs, along with Hunter, emerging from the tunnels after Spyro rebuilt the world.

There was less emerging from the tunnel then when they ran in to the battlefield... Chief Prowlas was not seen since then...

Maybe they didn't bother adding the other characters to appear at the scene, since they rushed the game.

no they were there on the wii version because ignitus sayed we have to battle or somethnng no mattter the cost and the moles and the cheetachs were shocked
