The generations in the LoS universe?

Well, from what we've seen, new eggs are only provided/produced in the Year of the Dragon. No set time has been given for this event, but most people tend to think it's around twelve years. So there you have it. Every twelve years, there is a new generation of dragons born. Or every Year of the Dragon.

There's nothing to suggest that dragons are only born in the Year of the Dragon in the Legend games as far as I can see.

Based on the older games and on what Ignitus says (he also says that they were all dependent on the survival of those eggs, meaning that they couldn't just go out and make/get new ones whenever they needed them), it's heavily implied that dragons are only born in the Year of the Dragon (hence the name).

This sequal is basicly just one with a storyline.....
Even on Los they were born in the year of the dragon,Everything is the same cept for charaters and storys....As far as anything like when there born or stuff,no difference.

the dm is not neccasarily sp spyros father

like others have said depsite the scale color and element of the parents

the child can become a purple dragon every 10 generations

a generation is approximately 100 years

and the chronicler said the Dm was a purple dragon approximately

10 generations ago there is a link

dm isnt spyro's dad but instead his ancestor in a way

I suspect that there was a kink in the DM's plans when Spyro fell into the Soul Beam and now he's stuck in that little purple body. smilie Also, I rather liked the idea that the DM dug his own hole (and I loved the way the Chronicler described it).

I'd have to watch the cutscene again. It does say with certainty that he created the Well of Souls, though, if not the mountain itself. The Chronicler said something like "The weight of his own malice cracked the very earth, creating a pit of despair from which none could escape."

I thought that the purple dragon was just 1 spirit carried on through generations so every purple dragon will turn evil in the end...

If Spyro really has a father, then I will say Ignitus. Some of my friends said that The Cronilcer maybe could be Spyros father, but I doubt that, since The Cronicler is over 1000 years old.

Since there are two purple dragons in existence at the same time, I think that rules out the "one spirit for all purple dragons" idea. Spyro is not Link, after all.

Crush and HIR, I disagree with you completely. LoS is an epic story. Epics that come in three parts (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc) tend to have the darkest parts in the middle part of the series. And, following the Hero's Journey, Spyro and his friends are now in the stage where they have fallen from heroes to the depths. The next game will deal with Spyro rising up from the ashes to become an epic hero.
