It's been confirmed many times before that there will be more Spyro games. It has, in fact, just been confirmed that the next one is already in the making and we don't know what direction Activision will take Spyro. We also know that The Legend of Spyro is used for the trilogy, not a four-chapter game, and we doubt it will be called The Legend of Spyro since the trilogy is over.

For the 100th time, possibly literally.

When was it confirmed that the next game is underway? Why is it not on the frot page of DS?

Dark52 hasn't been notified by someone that the next Spyro game is underway, or no one has told him yet so he can add the information to the News Archive section.

It's been confirmed that there's a new game underway, in a roundabout way, by Rebbecca Kneubal, who said that a different composer was going to be working on the next game. The movie was confirmed almost two years ago, but we haven't had any news about it in a while.

Nor any media information about it.

It has been confirmed that there is going to be more Spyro games. But we don't know which universe it will be. I have this feeling that The Legend of Spyro universe is the one that they are going to take, even though I don't want this to happen.... And I don't think it will be called The Legend of Spyro.

Future games are likely to take place in the LoS universe, though it is almost assured that they will not bear the LoS title because that was meant to be just a trilogy and that specific story ended with DotD.

They might try to reboot the franchise again, though I doubt it would survive something like that.

I'm also one to think they're going to continue with the LoS universe; it's actually pretty logical, what with the fact that DotD didn't provide us with a proper ending...

I'm just wondering what direction they'll go in; I certainly don't know what to make of the fact that Becky and Gabe are no longer composing the music. I hope they found someone equally good

I never had any doubt that they were not the right company. I will not believe they they are doing better than Sierra would have unless they make it possible to create levels and add custom resources.

I'm not believing anything until I see a trailer - Movie, game, whatever it may be. Everyone knows almost all games are announced along with a promo trailer.

Give us a link then! Sooner rather than later since you're online! Or did you conveniently forget the site name?

If you're going to say something that's official and all, then post the link with your message to show proof and don't forget about where you found it. It's easier to do that, than just post a message saying you found a site that might hold new Spyro info without a link with proof if you forgot it or don't have it.

Thats good that there is another game, beacause personaly i dont think a movie would be good

Well, it's NOT official information. As I expected, this 'game' is fanmade by another Spyro fan. Why would you expect an official answer from a site like WikiAnswers? Their answers on there are not always true. I mean like at the way the anonymous user types, it's obviously not that of a professional typer nor someone from Activision.

Well, someone probably changed it to the correct response. But they said something about a yin yang dragon being in the next spyro game, which is not true, and said to contact him or her. The info about a yin yang dragon was false, everyone, but the next Spyro game info was true.

Its a fan series made by a user on youtube with the whole 'Ying-Yang Dragon' thing...

So that's why. I knew it was fan-made, and the earlier answer was probably edited by the person who made Yin-yang dragon on youtube.

Some of us saw the earlier answer, saying the next game will be about a yin-yang dragon, but then somebody must've corrected the answer. But the answers on wikianswers are mostly unbelievable anyways.
