What Happened Before...

A black egg fell from the sky in a ball of Shadow. The egg smashed on the ground and a huge Shadow explosion flew across the land. A Dragon found the egg and took it to the Dragon Temple. The Fire Guardian, Ignitus, put the egg in with a whole lot of other eggs. There was a purple egg on a pedestal at the back of the room. One night, an army of Apes came in and smashed all the eggs. Ignitus managed to take the purple egg and place it in the Silver River. But the Apes took the black egg to a dark place known as the Mountain of Malefor. There the egg hatched and the Ape King, Gaul, corrupted the chick with dark magic. The chick (a baby Dragon) then turned into an enormous size and turned into Cynder the terror of the skies!

Cynder then destroyed anything good and the world was in a war. She soon was able to catch the Elemental Guardians and trap them in the realms they were born in. Cynder used them as batteries and they gave her the power to release the Dark Master or Malefor. Many years later, she opened the portal to Convexity, the place where Malefor was held prisoner. But Spyro, the Purple Dragon or that purple egg, went through the portal behind her. There Spyro defeated Cynder and the dark magic that was inside her was no more and she turned back to her normal size. They returned to the Temple. But Cynder wanted to find her place in the world and ran off. Cynder got captured by Scabb's pirates further on her way to her true place. When she was pretending to fight Spyro, some Dreadwings captured her and took her to the Mountain of Malefor. She was chained up. But a while after, Spyro came to the rescue and went into battle with Gaul. Sacrificing his life to the Darkness, Spyro defeated Gaul and the mountain started to collapse. Spyro made a Crystal around Cynder, Sparx and himself to save them from the falling rocks...

Three years later, some Grublins and a Hero Orc came into the ruins. They smashed open the crystal and the Dragons fell to the ground. A Grublin chained Spyro & Cynder together and they left. The 3 allies went through many places and Sparx had to leave their side at the Dam. Ignitus, Cynder & Spyro went through the Belt of Fire where Ignitus sacrificed his life for Spyro & Cynder to get through. There they went through the Burnt Lands and the Floating Islands to get to Malefor. They defeated Malefor with their Convexity ability and the world was put back together again with Spyro's special ability. Malefor got trapped in Convexity. And it now comes to this very day when Cynder and Spyro were sitting on a cliff, watching the sunset...

Chapter 1: Warnings for the Future

Spyro & Cynder were watching the sunset on the top of a cliff in the Swamp. It wasn't one of the usual sunsets you would normally see, it was a purplish colour with a touch of black here and there. "Isn't this beautiful, Spyro?" asked Cynder. "Cynder, it's the most beautiful sunset in the world, just like you," replied Spyro in a gentile voice. They lied there for a while and they fell asleep.
Cynder woke up and found herself at the Mountain of Malefor and it was rebuilt. An Ape pounced on her and it chained her up and took her to a big Dark Purple Dragon sitting in a throne. Ahh!! Cynder thought. It's Malefor!! The Dragon told the Ape to drop her. The Ape did as he was told and Malefor walked up to Cynder. "Cynder!" he yelled. "Why did you betray me, after everything I did for you?" Cynder yelled back, "All you did to me was make me evil!! How did that help my life?!" Then everything twirled and twisted around...
"AHHH!!!" Cynder yelled as she got up. "Whats wrong Cynder?" asked Spyro. "Good," sighed Cynder. "It was only a dream." They walked into the Temple. The Temple slowly fell back to the ground and the swamp grew back after Spyro used his ability. The two Dragons walked up to Terrador. "Terrador!" Cynder yelled. "I had a dream and I think that it's a vision into the future!" The Guardians looked at them. "What happened in this dream of yours?" asked Terrador. Cynder told them what had happened in her dream. "Malefor is coming back..." worried Cyril. "What, what, what are we going to do?" hesitated Volteer. Then a Fire Dragon walked out behind them. He was Dragsooth, the new Fire Guardian. "We will have to get ready, evil is upon us!" he yelled. "You two," Dragsooth looked at Spyro & Cynder. "You must go find out all you can about Malefor's return. We will try to protect the residents of Warfang, the Dragon City." They all flew off and parted ways. "Where will we go first?" asked Cynder. "Lets go to the Mountain of Malefor, there must be something there," replied Spyro as the flew off...

Chapter 2: "Where am I?"

The two Dragons were flying to the Mountain of Malefor. They were in the dark lands of the mountain. "This place is spooky, Spyro," said Cynder with a bit of fear in her voice. "I know, just ignore it," Spyro replied, a bit scared. A dark comet fell from the sky and almost hit Spyro. "AHHH!!!" he yelled. They flew faster, faster, faster. then BOOM, a comet hit Cynder and she fell, screaming, to the ground...

When Cynder woke up, she saw herself in a crystal shard. She got up and looked around. "Where am I?" she asked. "Spyro, are you there?" No one replied. "SPYRO!!" she screamed. "SPYRO!! SPYRO!!" There was no reply. Cynder was terrified. "Cynder," said a low growl. "You have betrayed me!" Cynder looked at a dark purple figure. "Malefor?" she asked. "Yes, it is me! You stayed with that Purple Dragon, Spyro, didn't you?" he said. "Yes, I will never stay with you!" Cynder screamed. "To bad, you will never see him again!" yelled Malefor as he turned to .

Chapter 3: Dragon Fight

Cynder roared. Her mind didn't wash out completely, but she didn't remember much. "AHH!! It can't be!" yelled Cynder. "Yes, you have returned to me!" cackled Malefor. "No! I can't I'm not who you think I am!" screamed Cynder. "Yes, yes you are! You're my slave!" roared Malefor as he washed Cynder's mind out, completely. "Now, go and destroy Spyro!" he laughed as Cynder flew out of a crack in the wall. Cynder knew where she was: A dark temple known as Dragon's Eye. She flew past the Dragon Dam to the Temple in the middle of the Swamp island (that's where DotD was set). Cynder saw the Temple and rushed in. She saw everyone in there, even Sparx. Cynder stood there on a big rock...

"Cynder?" Spyro asked. "Yes, little one, it is I!" Cynder laughed. "AHH!! She's turned HUGE again!" screamed Sparx as he fleed behind Spyro. "Now, it's time to FIGHT!!" yelled Cynder as she ran into battle. Cynder pinned Spyro to the ground. "Cynder, I won't fight you!" he screamed. "Too bad, I'll just destroy you quicker!" Cynder laughed as she hit Spyro on the stomach. Spyro gave up and started fighting Cynder. Spyro jumped on Cynder's neck and started biting. Cynder waked him off with her tail and he fell to the ground. Spyro used Earth Missile and knocked Cynder over. If I defeat her, she'll turn back to normal! Spyro thought as he tried his hardest to defeat Cynder. It was no use, Cynder did her, almost fatal, Shadow Fury. It knocked Spyro off his feet and all these Shadow Claws started scratching all over him. Spyro then when BOOM on the ground and was knocked out severely. Dragsooth came rushing in. "What's going on..." he didn't continue as Cynder was about to go BASH on him. Everyone flew out the entrance, except poor Spyro...
