Vivendi made several new charaters that wouldnt exist without them...
What would you do if ignitus or cynder never existed?!
What about sparx mom and dad..
What about cyril,volteer,terredor?!
But rly...WHAT ABOUT CYNDER???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shall jump into the topic right now.

I do not know if it's correct (memory's fuzzy) but I think Vivendi Games ALWAYS owned the copyright for Spyro...

... but now bear with me.

Copyright holding =/= using them.

Vivendi Games ONLY published the games, they NEVER worked on said games.

So, although one can thank Vivendi Games for publishing the games and thus allowing us to play them, they never had any say in the serie's actual design or anything.

So, praising them is useless. So is blaming them.

I think Sierra (then still Vivendi) had to do ETD, because Insomniac left them while they were in the beginning stages of development. <.<;

Actually, Sierra only picked up the serie at Spyro 6 (the reboot). The company that was responsible for ETD was Equinox Digital Entertainment. A Hero's Tail was made by Eurocom.

So, in short:

Spyro 1-3: Insomniac
Spyro 4: Equinox Digital Entertainment
Spyro 5: Eurocom
Spyro 6-7: Sierra & Krome

but you know whats weird, on the uk version of AHT, it has the sierra thing in the corner, but it doesn't have that on the US version

It has the Sierra logo when you start the game, either before or after the Eurocom one. I don't know, I haven't played it in forever.
