Prologe: Malefor- Villian or Hero?

I will tell you a tale about a young dragon. He isn't the 1st of his kind, but he is stronger then all the Gaurdians before & after him. You know him as "The Dark Master, Malefor." Yet I kow him as Mali, my purple dragon son.

Oh, where r my manners. My name is The Chronicler, the master of time dragon. Now! Let's begin our tale, shall we?

Chapter 1: Mali, my purple dragon son.

It was the Year of the Dragon, me and the other Guardians; Ishlandur of fire, Perisher of earth, Kytheron of ice, Angtor of eletricity, Ari of wind, Posi of poison, Pheobe of fear, Night of shadow, & Convex of convexity, were countin' the eggs. 1 million total per year, except every 10 generations. On the 10th generation, there is a extra egg in the Temple... a purple dragon egg!!! I walk by & stop infront of it.

"Darkness clouds this hatchling!" I say to the others. They laugh... 'Thats what the Gaurdians before them did. Now they'r dead- phisicaly.'

"Come on Croni!" Ishlandur says, still laughin', "That's an old wyvrens tale!"

Then the eggs started to hatch! 1 by 1, dragon chiks merged from there shell. The purple 1 just bursted out, it's eggshell flyin' everywhere.

'Malefor, the purple dragon.' I whisper to him. He looks at me & smiles.

"Dad-da." Malefor coos. I pick him up & hug him. None of the other parents seem to be lookin' for him, & I wait until night fall. No1 came for little Malefor. "We gow home, Dad?"

I look at him & fly to the White Isle. "Yes son. We go home. U'll still see ur friends at the Temple. I'll take good care of u Mali, my purple dragon son!" I reach the center of White Isle, find Mali a room that's close to mine, & tuck him in. "Good night, my dark prince. Ha, ha ,ha."

"Good night, my time dad." Mali says, driftin' off to sleep. "Dad." I stop at the doorway & turn around. "Am I really a Prince of the Dark??"

I look at him w/sadness in my eyes, "No Mali, I was jokin'. Ur goin' to be my little Prince of the Light. OK?" Mali nods his head as he drifts off to sleep. I walk to my library & pull out a book titled: 'Malefor, The Dark Master.' I throw it on the desk in discust! 'History doesn't repeat itself! The future isn't writtin' in stone!' The book opens... to my son... little Mali...killing my Gaurdian friends...w/the same techniques we tought him!!!

Sounds good so far. Interesting story.

Ya. The Chronicler is Malefors father. I just sensed a hint of sadness in the way he told Spyro Malefors' story... But it was just a guess!!

Chapter 2: Training

I wake up to Mali shakin' me & sayin' "Wake up, Dad! Wake up! I got to go to the Temple!"

He then stops talkin'. I get up, yawn & see him look at his book!! "Um..Mali? What r u lookin' at?" He walks up to me w/his book & hands me it. " 'Training Day.' Ur a real elemental master, son!"

We fly to the Temple. Many dragon hatchlings die before the 1st 24 hours. I count 1,000 hatchlings including Malefor. The Gaurdians open the doors & each hatchling goes to his/her respetive teacher.

Light Red: fire. Blue: ice. Yellow: electricity. Dark Green: earth. Light Green: posion. Dark Red: fear. Black: Shadow. White/Light Colour: wind.

Convex has no students, but I notice Mali has the same scale colour has Convex does. "Malefor, Chroniclers' son. I'll teach u Convexity...If ur dad will let me!" Convex says, grappin' my sons' hand. I nod & Convex beggins Malefors training.

I watch the Guardians teach the younglings their secerts, yet Malefor isn't doing anything. I walk up to him to tap him on the shoulder, yet my hand goes right thru him! "Dragon Time!!" I whisper outloud. "MALEFOR!!" I shout his name, & find him out side... Using all the elements to there fullest!!!

Chapter 3: Close Call

Malefor looks at me, still radiating from his every element fury. I'm so happy that he mastered them so easyly. He walks over to us & falls on his side.... 10 arrows, w/our colours on the feathers, stick out of the back of his head!

Time stops! I walk over to my son. He's beary breathin'. "Dad?" Mali whispers, weakly. Blood pours out of his mouth as he talks! "I'm sorry. I read my book to the end. (cough, cough) U said 'History doesn't repeat itself' & 'The future isn't in stone'! Thank u, Chronicler... for being my dad!" Mali shuts his eyes & layes his head down.

I look at the Guardians! "Don't just stand there! HELP MY SON!!!!!!!!" The Elders snap out of there shock & rush over to help Mali.

I look at my arrow... there's a note on it. I remove the note and read it. This is what it says : 'Dear Dragon Scum, this is ur last warning! Leave us alone!!! Signed, the Apes.' I put the note w/my scrolls & help the Guardians fly Malefor to the Temple!

They go inside the Vision Pool room, leavin' me outside & Convex to gaurd the door. I pull out Malefors' books. 1 is 'Malefor: The Dark Master' & the other is 'Mali: The Chroniclers' Son.' They r the same yet different in many ways! I read & compare them both, page for page!

Then, Convex opens the door!! Ishlandur comes out, hangin' his head. "We saved ur son... but the results r quastchionable. He'll make it, but..." (U fill in the blank!)

I walk thru the door. Mali's lookin' in the Vision Pool & sees me! He turns around and hugs me. "Hi Daddy! The Elders say I'll make a full recovery."

Chapter 4: Time Heals All Wounds...

1 year later....

Me and Malefor live w/the Elders now-after Mali was hurt I knew I had to! Malefor teaches youngling now. He spead up time to make himself 12 yrs old, 'til he is 12! He also has a girlfriend, a beutiful mix dragoness named Sarah, she's the same age as him. Her element(s) is the same has Mali's! Sarah has a leg injury, so she can't fight w/her full strength!

"Malefor?" Sarah says,after training.

He looks at her, sweating from combat training. "Yeah. What's up, Sarah?" He wipes his forehead & blows ice over his body.

She gets close to him, the spikes on there wings hooking. "I'm a little hot! Heh, heh!"

I watch them train while Sarahs' grandma, Crisy, talk to me. I wasn't really listening. "What does she say about my son, Crisy?"

"He's really nice, caring, loving, etc. I'm not suprised that they r close friends!" Crisy says, looking at them also.

Mali & Sarah walk towards us, still hooked by their wings! They let go & Mali walks over to me. "What's up w/u, Prince of Light?"

He looks at me & says, "Sarah's just so cute, yet I don't disirve her! She doesn't deserve me either!" He has been putting himself down eversince Sarah told him she wants to be his girlfriend. I'm worryed he'll turn into the Dark Master, but he says he has it under control.

Sarah & Crisy say good-bye to us & go home. We go to our rooms and sleep. "Dad?" We stop in the Vision Pool room. Mali look over the water.

"Yes, Mali!" I know what he's trying to do, but only 'experianced dragons can see into the future thru the Pool of Visions.'

".....Nothing. Let's go to sleep!" I see a tear fall from his face.

"U miss her, don't u!"

"Yes, but I'll see her tommorrow. Right dad?"

"Yes u will. Mali, the Prince of Light!" We climb into bed & fall asleep.

Any1 there. If u r, please post! I'm thinking of changing the title to 'The Chroniclers Tale: Malefors' Darkness vs. Malis' Light' Plus, I'm kind of out of ideas, so any suggestions would be helpful.(It takes me a few days to get ideas, but any suggestions will help out also!)

Note: I don't like putting 'To be continued...' on my stories. I'll let u know when the last chapter is!


Chapter 5: ...Except Wounds of the Heart!

Dreams! People say they r visions of the future, others say lost memories from ur past, etc! Yet, I have been having 1 dream over & over ever sence I nearly lost my son!!! This is what I draem!

I look at Mali has he trains w/Convex. Then Convex leaves. Mali just sits there watching him go. I motice there r some holes in the wall from his training. I walk over to him to snap him out of his trance & my talon goes right thru Mali's body! Then it vanishes.

'Dragon Time!' I whisper to myself. I run from room to room. I can't find him anywhere! I look outside & yell, "MALEFOR!!!"

Mali looks at me & a huge explosion rocks the land. "Yes dad." he says, crackilen w/energy from his fury; a fury of all the elements! "I was just practicen my Ultimate Fury! Why r u scared??"

He walks over to me & I see something glime in the sun. It quickly vanishes. Then, Mali falls on his face... blood oozin' from his mouth! I see 10 arrows sticking out of the back of his head, each 1 w/the colour of an Elder!

I rush over to my son. U know the dialoge! 'Mali...' I whisper, 'Malefor...' I look at the Gaurdians & yell "DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!! HELP MY SON U B*ST*RDS!!!!!!!!"

They rush over & Ari lifts him up w/her wind tornado while Night brings us all underground to get us to the Temple faster! We'r in the Vision Pool room! Ishlandur tells me to reman seated. I seat down & read both of my sons' books: 'Malefor: The Dark Master' & 'Mali: The Chroniclers' Son.'

"Chonicler!" Convex says. I look up. Mali's sittin' in the Vision Pool, splashin' Kytheron w/water.

I walk up to him, grap him cheeks & pull. "Ow! Dad! Stop that, ghesh!"

"Mali...Ur OK!" I hug him & help him out of the water. Then I look at the Elders, "Wheres the arrows!?" They give me them! I tear a piece of paper from my arrow & read it. U know what it says!

The Guardians all murrmer at 1ce while me & Mali leave! "Don't go off like that ever agian! Do u hear me, Malefor! I thoght I would lost u!"

Mali looks at me w/tears in his eyes. "Sorry." he replise weakly. I hug him & gentley touch his scars. Mali cries out in pain!! "DON'T TOUCH THOSE!!!"

I tap his scars, "Time heals all wound..." Then I tap my heart, "...Except the wounds of the heart! I thought u were dead, son."

He looks at me, "But I'm strong enough to take care of myself!"

"Until the Gaurdians say otherwise, I'll worry for u. & when they do say otherwise, I'll still worry for u. Its a daddy thing. U'll learn it when u have kids." Then we enjoy a good laugh.

I look outside. "Time for bed, Prince of Light!" We walk to his room & I tuck him it bed. Malefor falls asleep right 1ce his head hits the pillow, too cute!

Then I see something move outside his window! I look & a big monkey watchin' us, a weapon in its hand! It goes away after 5 seconds! 'DAMN DIRTY APES!' I whisper to it.

As I crawl in bed, I pull Malis' book out & read it. I see another purple dragon...who looks alot like Mali, but his friends w/a dragonfly & a red-n'-balck dragoness. There names r under there pix: 'Spyro, Sparx, & Cynder!' 1 thought rolls throw my mind, 'R they going to kill Malefor... or be frinds w/Mali?'

Chapter 6: "Make Ur Choice, Hatchling...."


"Happy Birthday, Mali & Sarah!!! Happy Birthday to u!" The Elders says to my son and his girlfriend. Me and the Guardians even make them both a cake!!

'Mali, The Chroniclers' Son. Age: 12. Elememt: All! Colour: Purple.'
'Sarah, Cristys' Daughter. Age: 12. Element: All. Colour: Mix.'

"Thanks every1!" Mali & Sarah say, lookin' at their cakes! They blow out the candles, but they use fire and relight them. "Ops! Hah, hah."

Kytheron blows the candles out and says "Make a wish u 2!"

They do and then start rippin' open thier presents!

Sarah gets some claw polish, scale makeup, room apperal, & a bunch of other young dragoness stuff!
Mali gets a skateboard, 'The Big Book About Purple Dragons', personal training dummies, & other young dragon gear!

"Thanks!" They say... Then I notice a small box under the table! The note attached says 'To: Sarah. From: Mali.'

I tap Mali on the shoulder."Um...Son!" He turns around & takes the box from me.

He walks over to Sarah, kneels, & opens the box. "Sarah... Will u marry me, please?"

She looks at him & puts the ring on... It looks like 2 dragons w/there tails intertwined & their snouts r touching. 1 has purple eyes & the other has mixed eyes. "Yes! I'll marry u, Malefor!!!!"

The Next Day...

I watch Mali get ready for the wedding. "Need help, my little Prince of Light?"

"DAD!!!" He scolds me for still calling him that. It's really funny, but I can't help it. "No. But I am nervous."

I give him some advise & we fly over to the wedding. Sarah & Cristy r there, waiting by the door. "Ready, Sarah?" Mali says, standing up straight. They lock wing spikes & walk in!

They stop at the alter & the preacher says the vows. They both say "If We didn't mean this, do u think we would be here. We do!"

"I pronounce u man & wife. Kiss ur bride!" Mali removes Sarahs vial & kisses her gently. Every1 cheered & whooped!! I just write down what happens.

Cake, dancing, wedding gifts, & a 'premashure baby shower?'

After the wedding, Sarah & Mali fly towards the Temple! I follow them & we stop!!! We r teleported to a world of blackness! Convexity!! A purple beam of light w/2 red eyes glare at us. 'Malefor! U r to destroy the world. I will not let ur 'Dad' deny u that right! The world of Light or the world of Night! Make ur choice, hatchling!!!'

Mali looks at the Dark Master & starts to glow pure white. "We may be the Dark Master, but I'll never become the Dark Master! I chose the world of middle!"

'The world of Twilight!'

Mali fire a beam of pure light at the Dark Master. "The world of Dawn!" The World of Convexity vanishes forever. We return to the Temple. "Element of Light!"

I just look at Mali, give him both of his books, & say "Mali. Write ur own destiny." I pull out Sarahs' book & do the same. "Protect the World of Dawn!" Then I walk off... Tears in my eyes. 'My son, Malefor. The Dark Master turned Prince of Light!'

I hear a crash. I run towards Sarah & Malis' room... It's a mess & Sarahs on the floor. "What happened?"

"The Apes took Mali!" Then I hear mouns. I see Mali under the bed, scared. "MALI!!!!" Sarah says huging him!

"Sarah.... (gasping for air)... Sarah ur chocking me!!" Sarah releses him & Mali looks bright blue! He gets his colour back fast. "I beat the Apes up! Easy!"

We fix up the room & go to sleep! My nightmare is finaly over.

Chapter 7: Unwritten Destiny!


The Year of the Dragon! Egg count: 1 million.

We'r all very excited. Mali & Sarah r the most excited, thou!!!! Their eggs r about to hatch! 1 is pure white w/purple streaks while the other is black w/orange spots!

Mali looks like a handsome adult dragon. Sarah is likewise a beutiful adult dragoness! The Guardians don't age as much as the younglings.

"Dad!" Mali says, not movin' his eyes from the eggs! I touch his shoulder to let him know I hear him. "What's our kids names goin' to be?" He looks at me as he says it.

"Let them write thier own destiny, son." I say. "U defided ur destiny, so let them choice their own path." He chuckles a little.

Then the eggs start to hatch! Dragon hatchlings look at the faces of their parents & go home! Mali fights back a tear... He really misses his real parents!

The 2 eggs on the pedstull hatch & every1 there gasps! Mali picks up the orange dragoness w/black stripes & says, "Cyn." Sarah picks up the white dragon w/purple streaks & says, "Spy."

I look at my grandkids & think 'The next time a purple dragon is born, I'll send it to the swamp.'

Then, Spy hick-ups & out of his mouth comes a Ultimate breath!! Cyn coos & fires the same thing!! "WOW!!" The Guardians says in unison! "THEY KNOW THE ULTIMATE BREATH!!!!"

Spy & Cyn look at me w/loving eyes. Then Sarah takes them to bed. Mali looks at his book & gives it to me. "Ur going to need this, dad."

I push it away & say, "I told u to write ur own destiny! That's what I meant, Mali!" I can see he's hurt, so I give him a hug. "I'll always love u Mali! Even if u turn into the Dark Master, I'll still love u!"

The Elders walk up to us. They hand Mali a gem: it has every colour under the sun on it, yet it's only the size of a human thumb. "Take good care of this gem!"

He nods & puts it over his heart! The gem fades into his scales, then vanishes! Not even a scar is there!!! "What just happened?!"

"That gem binds dragons hearts together. We all it 'The Friendship Gem.' " Sarah comes in & looks at Mali. Then she grabs him by his paw & drags him outside!

I look at the Elders. "What was that gem really for?"

"What we said it was for. But ur sons the only 1 to absorb it into his skin!" Ishlandur says, calmly. "Malefor-" He's on the other side of the Temple faster then he can think!

I grab him by his throat & say, "DON'T CALL MY SON THE DARK MASTER!! MALI MADE HIS CHOICE NOT TO FOLLOW THE PURPLE DRAGONS BEFORE HIM! IF ANY OF U SAY THAT NAME AGAIN, I'LL HURT SO BAD, UR GRANDKIDS WILL FEEL THE PAIN!!!!!"

They look at me & I calm down... droppin' Ishlandur on his butt. "Sorry. I just don't like any1 saying that." The Gaurdians nod in agreement. Ishlandur is the only 1 who doesn't. "U want to feel real pain? Ishlandur?"

He shakes his head no & says, "I won't say that word again."

I fix the Temple & walk outside. I find Malefor: The Dark Master beside the Vision Pool. I pick it up.

Then I look at the Pool of Visions... I see Malis' future. He's a very strong, kind & caring dragon. I see his kids & Sarah also follow the middle path.

'Mali...' I look at Malefors' book & erase it from my collection! "May u never come back!"

Mali comes in & sees what I did. We hug & he says, "May the Ancestors look after you. May they look after us all." I nod. Then we look into the Vision Pool together... & we see the samething!

ok i'm confussed i thought the apes kidnapped Mali...

No. The apes tryed to kidnap Mali, but he "beat the Apes up!" Sarah fought them to protect her husband, but the Apes hurt her & Mali used a Light Fury on them!

OK...NOW I'M OUT OF IDEAS!!!

uh-oh that's not good.

Chapter 8: Warfang, the Dragon City

A few days have passed. Mali & his family have moved to the White Isles. The kids look like 12 yr olds, due to their mastery of time! I'm in my library, wrighting 3 books: Spyro: the Purple Dragon, Cynder: the Black Dragoness, & Sparx: the dragonfly! Mali just sits in the cornor reading from the library!

"What u reading this time, son?" I ask, putting the books up.

"Warfang!" He says, not looking up.

I go to the big hourglass & remove Mali's hopurglass. Then I ask him for his Friendship Gem. He gives me it & I look at it. "Ur gem is very unique. It's only given to dragons who have mastered a element, but urs is all the element colours put together!" I touch the gem w/his hourglass & they fuse. "Here!"

Mali doesn't look up but grabes the hourglass & says, "A hourglass w/coloured sand. Kewl, but kidish! Thanks dad!" He puts it around his neck.

I sit next to him, reading the book w/him. Then Cyn & Spy rush in. They climb in Mali's lap, reading about Warfang. "Dad! Can we go there someday, please!!!" They ask.

Mali shuts the book, puts it up & nods his head. "Yes!" The kids cheer. "But only if ur grandpa agrees!" I nod. "Well, it's settled."

"What's settled, Mali?" Sarah asks, walkin' in. Spyr & Cyn tell her the news. "WHAT!!! WARFANG, THE DRAGON CITY!!!" We flinsh... Sarah doesn't yell alot. "So, when's the vacation?"

I get up. "Now!" I teleport our family to Warfang. The kids r cyked, Mali's in awe, & Sarah went shoppin'! "Well have fun & meet back at the gates in a week! Don't talk to strangers!" We seperate & go explore!

how old are Spyro and Cynder?

U mean Spy & Cyn! They look 12, but they'r only 1 month old.... They r very smart for thier age!

Chapter 9: The Future Guardians!

'Warfang, the Dragon City!'

I duck under the sign & start lookin' around. I spot 4 younglings playin' over the watchful eyes of their parents. I walk over to them. "Who r u 4?"

"I'm Ignituis of Fire!" the red 1 says. 'Level-headed leader.'

The blue 1 looks at me. "I am Cyril of Ice!" 'Calm stratigest.'

The yellow 1 says, "My name is Volteer. I am a electric draon. It's-" His friends clamp his mouth shut! 'Fast-talkin' scout.'

Then the green 1 tells me his name, "I'm Terrador of Earth!" 'Strong warrior.'

I look at thier parents w/a grin on my face. "I give to u the future gaudrians of the elements!" I walk away. Then I hear Ignituis run over to me. "U took 1 of my scrolls, didn't u?" He nods. "Well, I want to give u something!"

I reach in my bag & pull out a blue-gray cyristal. It has my name on it. "Wear this always. It is a sign that u know me. If ur friend touch it, they will also be given 1." Ignituis looks at it & puts it around his neck.

"Thanks. Whats ur name?" He askes.

"Call me, The Chronicler...Seek me out!" I return him to his friends & family.

Chapter 10: Malefors' Other Book!

The wind howls thru the city. I look around. Some1 is ontop of the tallest building... clocked in the shadows. I blink & the dragons gone! It's shadow is still on the ground, but a wind dragon walkes over it. The shadow vanishes!

I walk to the library. My family is already there! The librarian looks at me & askes if I need help finding a book! "Yes, I need You-Know-Who's book."

She looks at me w/a puzzled face. "Who r talking about?"

I lean in close & whisper, 'Malefor.' The glass doors shatter downward! "Sorry." She nods & leads me into a secret vault.

"Has u already know, Chronicler, this vault has information on everything & every1!" Libra, the librarian, looks thru file after file. Then stops, "Ah, here u go!"

I look at the book. It looks exactly like Mali's other book! "I had this 1! Is there another?" She shakes her head. I open it & check the 1st page, 'To all who may read this, I will return from Convexity & rule u all!'~ Malefor, the Dark Master! I thank Libra for her time & go find my family!

Mali, Sarah, Spy, & Cyn r readin' together! Mali, like the show-off he is, is readin' 4 big books! I notice that the current 1 is called Secrets of the Elements: Volume 1. It has the symbols in a cirlce! Fire, Electricity, Ice, Earth, Wind, Fear, Pioson, & Shadow. Convexity, Light & Time r in the middle, conctantle spining. "Yin-Sand-Yang, Light-Time-Convexity. Right, son?"

"Ya. I just started. What r u reading?" Mali askes, lookin' at his 'others' book.

"Mr. You-Know-Who had an extra book! So I'm reading it & goin' to add it to my collection." I tell him. He nods & goes back to readin'.

Chapter 11: "The Prophacy Must Be Fulfilled!"

I look at a picture of Malefor & see his eyes glow yellow. Then the world goes black! I'm back in Convexity. I hear some1 whisper my name, but I ignore Malefor. He appears infront of me. "U denyed the purple dragon his birthright! U broke the rules!"

I shut the book. "I did no such thing, Dark Master. All I did was raise the purple dragon like my son. That, Malefor, isn't breakin' the rules!" He starts to glow very dark.

"THE PROPHACY MUST BE FULFILLED, CHRONICLER! UR 'SON' WILL BECOME THE DARK MASTER & HE WILL RESIRECT THE DESTOYER!" Malefor yells some more, but his words fall on deaf ears. Then Mali walkes up out of nowhere & glows white. "No! U r me & I am u! We can be brothers-in-arms, Mali. Turn to the dark, forget the light & get everything u want!"

Malis' light shines thru Convexity, destroying it 1ce again. Yet, Malefor is still standing. Sarah, Spy & Cyn finally see the Dark Master. "MALEFOR!" He looks at my son. "WE R NOTHING ALIKE! U TALK ABOUT PROPHACY, BUT HAVE U FORGOTEN UR'S! U R TO DIE BY A PURPLE DRAGON!" Mali looks at his 'other' & says, "With the left hand of Light, I destroy the right hand of Darkness!" Mali shoots a Light Beam at Malefor! It cuts thru him like a hot knife.

Malefor just stands there, fear in his eyes. He looks at us & hisses, "As long as that brat lives, I will live. We r 1, Mali! We r-" Mali uses a Light Fury & Malefor screams, "THE PROPHACY HAS BEEN FULFILLED!? NOOOOOO!"

Malefors' book vanishes from existance! Mali smiles at me. I smile back. "I guess the prophacy has been fulfilled." My son laughes, then we all laugh. Mali takes his Secrets of the Elements book home.

Yet, I can't shake this feeling that something bad is going to happen... Something that Spy & Cyn while do... Some big mistake....... But, what?

Chapter 12: Last Warning... and Future Hope!

Nightmares! Our fears turned real in our dreams. Terror & sorrow rule, fear along side them. Here is 1 of mine.

I see Mali fight a dragon clocked in the shadows. "MALEFOR!" Mali sees me & Malefor hits my sons' wings, tearing them! "MALI!" He falls, bearly catching himself on the edge of the cliff; I can't see the ground!!

I reach for him, but Malefor grabs me by the throat. "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!"
Mali falls to his death.

"MALI!" Sarah runs towards her husband, but she's going to fast. "I CAN'T STOP!!!" I hear a sickin' splat & see 2 drops fly on my wings... Sarahs' blood!

Spy & Cyn come out of nowhere & attack Malefor. "Stay away from our family!" Malefor doesn't even twitch. My grandkids r trapped in Shadow Shperes. The Dark Master has a smaller 1 in his paw. He crushed it & I see my family crushed into spheres no bigger then a pen tip.

"Now." Malefor says, throwing the Shadow Shperes over the cliff. "U must be punished, Chronicler! U know not to mess w/the fabric of time! But I think I've torcured u enough." He tears my wings & says, "Long live the Keeper of Time!" I fall to my doom, Malefors' laughter echoing all around. "This is ur last warning, Chronicler!"

I wake up w/a jolt! My scales sweaty & cold. Spy & Cyn r lookin' at me, "Rn't u 2 supposed to be in bed?"

They shuffle there talons. "We couldn't sleep. Sorry, Grandpa."

"Well, come on & sleep w/me." They grin & lay next to me.

'Why do I keep dreaming that dream? Malefors' dead, we all saw it.' I reach for Malis' book & skip to Spyros' time. I see Spy & Cyn, still lookin' like 12 yr olds, playin' w/ Spyro the purple dragon, Cynder the balck-n'-red dragoness, & Sparx the dragonfly. 'I guess they become friends, not foes! Good.'

Short Discribtion of Spy & Cyn (pronounced Spie & Sin)

Spy is a white dragon w/purple streaks, bloodstone eyes (jade green w/blood red spots), & red underbelly n' wing membrane. Yet, he has a scythe-like tailblade!
Cyn is an orange dragoness w/black stripes, sky blue eyes, & mixed underbelly n' wing membrane. She also has a scythe-like tailblade!


Chapter 13: Peace Comes w/a Price..... Death!

Year of the Dragon: 2nd since Mali was born!

Cyn looks at her mixed n' dark purple egg. Then at her husband, Carl, a Convexity dragon. They've been very happy together. So has Spy & his wife, Jewel the Light dragoness. They also have a very good life w/an egg of their own, light n' red!

The eggs shoke & cracked open. The dragon chicks squacked, lookin' for their parents. Spy & Cyn wait for their eggs to hatch.... nothing

They look at their nestmates, then at Mali & Sarah. Mali & Sarah look at me, all I can do is hang my head. 1 day pasts... the eggs still havn't hatched. I pick them up & carry them to the burail sight. I enscripe on thier gravestones: "Here lies the eggs of Spy, the light dragon, & Cyn, the tiger dragoness. RIP."

I grab their books & place they on their grave. 1 thought rolles thu my mind, 'Maybe Malefor was right. I broke the rules & now my family is paying for my kindness.'

Mali flies over to me, tears in his eyes. "May the Ancestors look after you. May they look after us all." I chuckle a little. He started saying that after he learned of the dragon gaurdians of the past.

Mali: "With the right hand of Light, I destroy the right hand of Convexity!" *light shoots out of his mouth, Malefor vanishes & heals me*

Me: *gaspin' for air* Thanks! I just got my insperation. Thank u, Mali the Light Master!"

Mali: *pats me on the back* Ur welcome, MinM!

Chapter 14: Revelations!

YotD: 10th generation!

"This year is crucial to our races survival!" The gaurdians all nod in agreement! "Yet, we also have the new guardians!" The old gaurdians turn & relinquish thier title to the newer 1s.

Ignitus of fire, Cyril of ice, Terrador of earth, Volteer of electricity, Breah of air, Dark of shadow, Curse of posion, & Scary of fear! Convex (aside from Malefor) is the only dragon who has mastered convexity.

Then, the Temple is rocked w/explosions! Volteer rushes out & back in. "Save them! The dark armys have come!" Ignitus grabs the purple egg while me & Mali stand ready to fight the apes!

"Dad!" Mali says, glowin' white. "Go w/Ignitus... protect him & the egg!" I shake my head & tell him I will stay & fight w/my last breath! "NO! Dad, u know this has been foretold! I don't want u gone w/the other!" I still don't move. Mali roars at me & I go flying thru the Temple, landin' outside by Ignitus has he places the egg in the Silver River!

"May the Ancestors look after you. May they look after us all." Then, I see an ape on the roof holdin' a dragon head... an ice blue dragoness head... "CYRISTAL!!!" He rushes towards the Temple & torches the ape!

I see Gaul, the Ape King, jump out of the Temple w/a black dragon egg! Then... Malefor & Convex show up! "Convex!!! What r u doin' w/the Dark Master?!"

His mouth moves in synic w/Malefors, "U really r clueless, Chronicler!" Malefors' shadow melts into Convexes body & his eyes glow yellow! "There never was a Convex, I made a shadow of myself to get close to the next purple dragon! Mali is me, I am him, we r 1!!!"

Then Mali shows up glowin' whiter then the snow! "Malefor!" The Dark Master looks at my son & vanishes into the shadows! Mali turns back to normal! "The eggs r all smashed. Breah & Terrador r cleanin' up the mess!" He hangs his head, "Dad, I'm sorry! I failed u & the entire dragon race! We'll lost the war & Malefor will destroy the world w/the Destroyer!"

I grab his paw. "U didn't fail son, I did! I didn't check Convexes book, he is Malefor!" Then we walk back to the Temple. A royal purple dragoness is waitin' for us by the Pool of Visions.

"Mali?" She looks at my son over from horn to tail! "It is u, Mali my son!" She hugs his & kisses him on the cheek!

"Who r u?" Me & Mali ask in unison!

"I'm Violet, ur mom Mali!" She just blushes. "Come here, son! I want to show u something!" Mali walks over & sits beside Violet. She touches the Vision Pool... I walk over & we all see what happened that fateful day... 10 generations ago!

This part really starts when Malis' parents meet for the 1st time...
It is also thru Violets eyes!


Chapter 15: High School Love

I sling my backpack over my shoulders. Dad pets my head & tells me to have a good 1st day a high school. Then the schoolbus honkes. I run outside & get on. (I know what ur thinkin'... why would dragons take the bus over flyin'. Well, I add a few modern things to my stories!)

The driver drops. We run outside & enter Dragon High! I'm a little nervous, but I keep my cool. Inside, DH is divided into groups, each 1 based on ur elements.

The princpial of DH, Max the Mix, looks at all the students! "Any 1 here who doesn't know their element plze step forword!" I do. "Well, 4 young dragons who don't know thier element... very interesting!"

I look around & see a dark indigo dragon, a blue-gray dragon, & a pure white dragon! "Names!"

"Indigo." "Steve." "John." Respectivly.

Max looks at me. "And who r u, daughter of Malefor?" My heart drops below my feet!

"V-V-Violet, s-s-sir!" I stamper out. Every1 looks at me w/fear! My dad, Malefor, is the great purple dragon who saved the world... by nearly destroyin' it! Indigo looks me in the eye & I see no fear, hatred, anger, etc. I only see cre, love, compation, understanding, etc. "My name is Violet, daughter of the great dragon Malefor!!!"

Max laughes & tells us to follow the middle path to learn our elements! Indigo walks beside me, smilen. "What do u want, Indigo?" I ask him, siductively...

"OH, me!" he says, blushen. "I was just wonderin' if u would be my girlfriend." I blush also & nuzzle him gently. We kiss & our love is sealed! "I love u, Violet!

"Same here, Indigo!" We walk side by side from that day forword, growen closer by the second! Max looks at us, chucklen.

Me, Indigo, John, & Steve enter the training room only to find Max is our teacher! "Oh great!" all of us say in unison!

Chapter 16: Family Rivalry!

Year of the Dragon: Malis' birth!

Me & Indigo look at our purple egg. "What should we call it, sweety?" Indigo askes me.

"If it's a girl, Vio. If it's a boy, Mali." I say. Then the Temple is attacked!

"MALEFOR HAS RETURNED!!!" Angtor says, worried! All the parents rush outside to fight the Apes. Me & Indigo follow. I see Malefor high in the air, raedy to destroy the Temple.

Indigo flies fast toward my dad w/me in close pursute! "U can't defeat me!!! I AM ETERNAL!!!" Malefor roars convexity at us... so we counter w/2 of our own. After 5 minutes, dad collapses.

Indigo & me slowly walk over, but then I hear a sickening cut sound! I look over at Indigo & see him fall... in 2 peices by Gaul the Ape King!!!! Malefor vanishes into Convexity. Gaul runs away, holding a bllack dragon egg!

I look up & see Chronicler fly w/my hatchling son. "Mali" I whisper, "I'm sorry. I had my reasons for leaving u. Plze forgive me, my little purple dragon son!"


Then I blackout!

Steve will take it from here! Ops, I mean Chronicler!!!

Chapter 17: "PAIN, WITHOUT LOVE."

I see Malefor/Convexity knock Violet out. He looks like 'Convex'. Then he slams her front against a tree! An ape appears w/a spear tiped off w/the Masters Gem of all the elements. He takes the spear from the ape & peirces Violet w/it!

"U were never my father! My father is the King of Kings! U r not my father, ur not my dad, ur nothing but a monster!!" Violet says weakly.

"I'll show u true pain!" 'Convex' turns the spear & she cryes in pain. "Yes...scream louder. It's music to my ears!" Then he rips her back open & burns it! Violet screams louder, begging 'Convex' to stop!

He breaks the spears' shaft off, but leaves the tip in her...still turning! 'Convex' walkes away, but he whispers in her ears, "Ur a b****!" Then he leaves, leaving his daughter covered in her own blood & tears!


Me & Mali turn away... cryin'! Violet looks at Malis' hourglass, it has the same colour sand has the Master Gem! Then, I see Ignituis & Cyril cry for Cyristal, Igggys wife & Spyro's mom!

Chapter 18: Banishment!

Ignitus gets up & glazes at us! "Because of u 3, MY WIFE IS DEAD & MY SON IS NEXT!!!" Cyristal was cut at her every joint, had her spikes ripped out of her body & her ograns diced!!! Only her heart was spared... It was stapped w/Convexity's own Master Gem!

I steps up. "This would have happened even if Mali had become the Dark Master! U can't fight destiny." Mali looks down, like he has a secret! "Mali... What r u hiding from us?"

"I let some of the apes thru to fulfill the prophacy, but I didn't see Gaul come up & *gulp* butcher Cyristal. I'm sorry!" Ignitus walkes over to him & punches Mali right on the jam!

"IGNITUS!!!" Me & Violet say in unison! We r just shocked that some1 as calm has Iggy could be so violent!

"U 3 R HERE BY BANISHED FROM THE DRAGON TEMPLE FOR ETERNATY!!! Every1 else, get ur armor on... we have a war to win!" The other dragons rush to arms.

Me, Mali & Violet quickly fly away... Never to return!


I'll take a break for a few days... To gather my thoughts. Yet, I will skip to when Spyro 1st meets the Chroincler in person... & he learns a secret from the greatest purple himslef, Mali!

ok interesting... and kinda gross and sad to what happen to Ignitus' wife.

Well, I wanted Ignitus to have something to exile Chronicler for.
It's to bad Spyro won't see his mom, tho.
Just like Mali won't see his real dad!
*sniffles*

but i thought the chronicler was Mali's dad.

No, Indigo is Mali's REAL dad. (The dragon who Gaul cut in 2).
Chronicler, or Steve to Violet, adopted Mali has his son & broke the Code of Time's # a rule: Never interfare w/the lives of the purple dragons!
