Don't u think its unfair....... [CLOSED]

Don't u think its unfair when your defeating a boss and it has 2 (or more) lives, when ur on the second life and u die u have to start again. I think its really unfair. What do u think?

It's acceptable on ANB but TEN is hard to begin with so they shouldn't do the 'start again' thing. It makes Gaul pretty much impossible.

Not really. It can get frustrating at times but it adds to the challenge and the point of a boss is for it to be challenging.

Yeah but when I was just about to defeat Gaul he hit me and i rolled off the side and then i had to start over! So i just throw the controler and gave up.

Gaul's the easiest one in the game once you beat him the first time. Dark Spyro makes the thing too easy.

Arborick is easy once you defeat him once. The first time is just plain cheap. His arms and legs move at normal speed even in Dragon Time, and when not in Dragon Time you don't even see him move his leg back. When you do happen to see his leg move, you can't use Dragon Time because it takes an eternity for it to recharge.

This complaint is absolutely ridiculous.

ANB, TEN, and DotD are INSANELY forgiving when it comes to death.

In almost every single other game, you don't have such mercies as infinite lives or respawning during boss fights with the boss's health not regenerating.

In most games, when you die you lose a life or get a game over and get yourself sent back all the way back to the last checkpoint/save point. And The Eternal Night, the console version, isn't even that hard. It might seem incredibly hard compared to ANB... but then ANB is a total pushover of a game where you can win by simply button mashing and letting the game's uber forgiving respawning system do the work.

Compared to games like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden, The Eternal Night is small time in terms of level difficulty, fight difficulty, and boss fight difficulty.


So rather than whine about how unfair it is, I suggest you instead appreciate how the game challenge you. It's quite nice to see boss fights that actually motivate you to try and survive, for once.

The only annoying things are those awkward sideways-style boss fights. The camera completely screws you over on those. e_e

Not really, if you think about it, when you die, you come back. Technically speaking, you have infinity lives. No matter how many times you die, you always come back. Once they die, they don't come back.

It can be a pain, but once you try 100 times,it won't be such a problem. The only boss i had trouble with was in TEN when you're in the arena and you're fighting that rider, i forgot his name. It took me AGES to defeat him!

his name is ravage rider. i had an extremely hard time getting past him the first few times but i finaly got him defeated.

I think the second part should only be added if you've defeated gaul once. (this would make spyro turn dark at the very start of the gaul battle.)
