To start off with, here is Shards:


Shards is 10 and is very brave. She has 3 Elements: Crystal Shards, Darkness & Mist. She is not evil and likes to help around. She was found by the Elders and wants to know where she came from...

Chapter 1: In the Caves...

Shards was sleeping in her tunnel of the Elder's Caves. Then the ground shook. "What was that!," Shards said as she woke up. She ran out to the Main Cave and saw Greysaw fighting a Dark Dragon. "Shards! What are you doing up?," asked Greysaw as he blew Earth on the Dragon. "I felt the ground shake and ran out here!," Shards replied. Then some other Elemental Elders ran out. Fazle blew a jet of Dragon Fire at the Dark Dragon. Crystal shot Ice Shards at the Dragon and Scramasax zapped her. The Dragon then blasted them off with Darkness. She looked over at Shards. Shards was scared but ran up to the Dragon and stabbed her with Crystal Shards. Then Shards used her Mist Element to trap the Dragon and pushed her out of the Caves and away from the Dragon City. The Elders got up. "How did you do that, young one?," asked Fazle. "I just tried to protect you," Shards replied. Then rest of the Elders came out. "What happened?," asked Gastor the Poison Elder. "I think little Shards saved the Caves," replied Kaylor the Fear Elder in a calm voice. "One day Shards, you will be a Dragon Elder," said Zectar the Wind Elder. "Your just trying to make me mist," said an embarrassed Shards. "No we're not," said Taykor the Shadow Elder. "You are a great fighter for someone your age. You're just like that Purple Dragon, Spyro." "What happened to him anyway?," asked Shards. "Some say he died at the Well of Souls, but I say he is still alive. I say he managed to escape or made a crystal around him and his companions," replied Scramasax. They walked up to a Pool of Visions.

"Why did that Dragon want me?," asked Shards. "There's only one way to find out," said Greysaw as he looked in the Pool of Visions. He saw an evil Purple Dragon staring at him. "Malefor! Malefor has returned!," whispered Greysaw. "Who is Malefor?," asked Shards. "Well, they say when he was young, he used to be good. He soon mastered all the Elements. He consumed, everything. He was cast an exile. He made an army of apes. Then the Earth split and the Mountain of Malefor was made..." said Crystal. "I'm going back to sleep," said Shards. Then they all went back to their tunnels, but something was lurking in the shadows...

Chapter 2: Shadows

The next morning when Shards woke up, she found out that she was not in the caves, but in a Shadow Temple! "Where am I?," she asked. Then fire struck and made the room light up. "You are in my Temple," said a strange voice. "Shards, correct? You know about Spyro, he was the one who let me escape!" Shards looked surprised. "That can't be true, Malefor. Spyro is good! But where is he?" "Spyro is trapped inside an Elemental Crystal, I've sent some Grublens to smash it open & shackle them. It might take them 2 years to get there though," said Malefor. "Grublens?," asked Shards. "Yes, they are my latest creation! I've made new minions out of nature!," Then Malefor smashed Shards into a cage. "LET ME OUT!," she yelled. "Not until Spyro gets out of the Crystal," said Malefor as he walked away. Now what have you got yourself into, Shards? She thought to herself. Then Malefor returned with some meat & swampy water. "Lunch," he said walking away. Shards ate the meat & drank the disgusting water. It's better than nothing. She thought.

Two years past and Shards was still in the cage. I have to escape! She thought as she twisted the lock. The lock popped off & she flew away. She flew to the Mountain of Malefor, it took her three days. She looked down to see grublens walking into the Mountain of Malefor, well the ruins of it anyway. She flew down into the top and hid on a mound of rocks. She saw the Elemental Crystal with Spyro, Cynder & Sparx inside...

Chapter 3: The Catacombs

Shards saw the Elemental Crystal with the Dragons inside. Then those Grublens came in and said something strange. What are they saying? Shards thought. They walked up to the crystal and a little one smashed it. Then one put these strange snakes around Spyro & Cynder's neck. That was all Shards saw because Hunter told her to get away. Shards flew to an arena looking place and saw Spyro & Cynder there. They finally got out of the Crystal! Shards thought as she saw them getting putted by this green chain. They started fighting little Grublens. Then Hunter stood next to her. "Hunter, what are you doing here?," Shards asked. "Ignitus sent me to find Spyro & Cynder. Greysaw also sent me to find you, too. You?," whispered Hunter. "I got caught by Malefor's evil Shadow Dragon. Malefor held me captive for two years and I escaped 3 days ago," said Shards. Then a huge Golem came up from the lava. "I have to go, Hunter," said Shards as she flew to the Golem. Spyro & Cynder broke the staple and started fighting the Golem. Shards flew around the back and hit him on the head. Spyro & Cynder flew up in the air while Shards signaled Hunter to shoot the Golem in the eye. Then Spyro & Cynder followed Hunter into a doorway while Shards followed the Golem into the lava. He went to a place with lots of stone platforms sticking up from the ground. Shards saw Hunter go across and then when Spyro & Cynder went across, the Golem grabbed the platform they were on. He was about to eat them but they pushed the platform and escaped. Shards followed Hunter and came up to a place with a Energy Gem. Spyro & Cynder got their Elements from the Chronicler and battled more Grublens. When they went, Shards refilled her mana with gems.

She then flew to a place with a horn up the top. Spyro & Cynder were in the last area. Shards blew the horn with her Mist & went through the door. The horn went back up while Spyro & Cynder just came in. Shards flew away to the Dragon City while Spyro & Cynder went to Twilight Falls...

Chapter 4: The Vally of Avalar

Shards was flying to the Dragon City but something hit her as she was flying over the Vally of Avalar. She fell straight down and was unconscious. The next morning she woke up chained to a big wooden pole. She saw Spyro & Cynder chained by that green chain & Hunter was on a separate pole. Then Chief Prowlus came out and started talking for awhile. Spyro & Cynder didn't even know that Shards was there. Then Spyro & Cynder flew off looking for a Cheetah named Meadow. "Hunter," whispered Shards. "Why am I here? I was flying to Warfang and got shot down by the Villagers!" "They probably thought you were evil and shot you down?," replied Hunter in a quiet voice. Then Chief Prowlus ordered a Villager to unlock Shards' chain. Then She put Shards into a hut. "What are you doing with me?," Shards asked. But the cheetah just walked out. Shards poked her head out and saw Hunter just sitting there, chained up. A cheetah pushed Shards' head back in. How rude. Shards thought as she sat there, alone and bored.

An hour later, Spyro & Cynder returned with Meadow. Hopefully I can leave now. Shards thought as she waited. She heard talking about this Secret Tunnel, but she couldn't hear it very well. Then a Villager took Shards out and she flew away. She saw Hunter, Spyro & Cynder below and took off, hopefully to Warfang...

Chapter 5: Warfang

Shards was flying over the Secret Tunnel while Spyro, Cynder, Hunter & Sparx went through there. Shards finally reached Warfang and saw the Elders' Cave. Shards flew in. "Shards, you've returned!," said Greysaw. "I need to follow Spyro & Cynder, Greysaw! I'll see you when I come back!," Shards said as she flew back out. The Elders didn't know that she got a backpack and some food & water for the trip. Shards was waiting at the City Gates as she saw Hunter come there. "What is it Hunter? And where are Spyro & Cynder?," Shards asked. "They're over the other side of the fallen building. They can't fly over because of the fire," Hunter replied. "I need to go see Ignitus!," Shards said as she flew off to the City Temple. "Ignitus, Spyro is back," said Shards as she flew in the door. "Spyro, he has returned!," said Ignitus as he flew out the door. "Follow me, Guardians."

Shards flew back to Hunter and saw a big Troll about to smash him. Shards pushed Hunter out of the way. The Troll howled as Spyro & Cynder flew to the Troll. Shards went to assist Hunter as she blew Crystal Shards at the Troll. After a few minuets, the Troll died and Spyro lit 2 torches on the side of the gates. But then Boomerang Orcs came through. Shards used Mist to turn invisible to help Spyro & Cynder shut the gates. The gates finally shut & Shards flew up to the high walls to see Spyro, Cynder, Hunter & Sparx there. It's, it's, IT'S THE GOLEM!!! Shards thought as the huge Lava Golem came through the flames. "I'm going to stop him!," said Shards as she flew off. "I'll see you soon, Shards," said Hunter as he jumped off the wall.

The Golem was destroying the buildings as Shards flew across to get his attention. The Golem finally saw Shards and tried to hit her. He tried the second time and hit Shards down to the ground. She got back up and started hitting his head. Now the Golem was mad! He hit Shards on the tail. Shards had a little turbulence but got up & hit his tail. Now the Golem moved to a big building and he attacked Spyro & Cynder. In half an hour, he died and all was safe...

Chapter 6: The Ruins of Warfang

Shards slept in the Elder's Cave over night. The next morning she took off to the Ruins of Warfang to follow Spyro & Cynder. Shards flew over to Spyro but got captured by a Troll. "Let me go!," Shards yelled. But all the Troll said was GGGRRRR, GGGRRRRRRR, GGGRRR. The Troll locked Shards in a cage over lava. She stayed there for 2 hours and she finally got the lock undone with her tail. The cage fell to the ground and Shards flew away.

She took a rest next to the lava. Suddenly, a Lava Lizard came out of the lava. "Hello," said Shards. "Zazz, zazzooo, zak," replied the lizard. Good Shards has a translator in her backpack. Shards put it on the lizard's neck and he said, "Hello to you too! My name is Gyzer." Shards put Gyzer in her backpack. "You can have a peace of meat," said Shards as she flew off. Shards got to a place with a waterfall. She saw Spyro & flew over to him as she told Gyzer that she was following Spyro and Cynder. Then a big Troll broke out of the ground and started to attack Spyro & Cynder. Cynder used her Shadow to stop the Troll from attacking. They ran out of magic and started to scratch him. Shards blew Crystal Shards at the Troll. Then he died a few minutes later. "That was cool, Shards!," said Gyzer. "Thanks," said Shards. She followed the 2 dragons in a air current. Spyro dropped the Crystal Key into a hole on a Dragon Statue. Then another current blew them up to a place with 2 big Dragon halfs. Spyro hung from some vines while Cynder pulled him with a chain. They got the Crystal Key and flew up through the air current and put the last Crystal Key in the Dragon Statue. The gates to the Ruins opened and Shards flew away to the Dam...

The Burnt Lands

Shards was on her was to the Dam when something hit her & she fell spinning out of the sky! She landed BOOM in the Burnt Lands. "What happened?," asked Gyzer as he got out of the bag. "Something hit us out of the sky," replied Shards as she rubbed her head with her wing. Gyzer looked around, "Yay, Lava!!" Gyzer jumped into the lava & started swimming in it. "Come on," said Shards. "We have to get to the flying Dragon Temple." So Gyzer jumped in Shards' bay and walked off. Shards' wing was hurting, so she had to walk to the Volcano. They took a rest near a small volcano and slept the night.

The next morning, Shards woke up to find Spyro & Cynder flying over her. "My wing is better!," she said. "I can fly again!" She flew off after Spyro & Cynder. After a few battles, they flew up into an air current to the Floating Islands...
