He should have less lines and Volteer should have MOAR.

But on a positive note... I'm glad his mouth moves properly with what he says in this game.

He shouldn't have died. I see a plothole here. Why exactly couldn't he just push himself through the fire? He had the energy to expel Cynder and Spyro, why couldn't he just shield himself too?

And I find it ironic that he died by his own element.

Oh and I absolutely HATE how emotionless Cynder is here. "Spyro, stop, let it go!" Seriously? His father figure died and that's all you have to say? Ignitus just saved your ungrateful butt and all you can say is let it go? Sheesh. That voice acting was terrible. And whoever wrote the script was even worse. I don't blame Cynder, I blame the people behind it.

It was sad when Ignitus died. And I agree with undertow25, the voice acting for Cynder is terrible! She sounds so emotionless.

i agree about cynder not caring. But i do understand about him dying. The fatherly figure to the hero is always the one that dies. Just like sirius black who gary oldman plays in harry potter in harry potter and the order of the pheonix. He died and he was like a fatherly figure to harry.

She really is awful in that scene. I feel that Spyro could have had a bit more emotion in his voice, too. He should have shouted more; it'd be more believable. But no, he turns evil for a few seconds and then carries on with his life. He should be upset, angry and hostile. Especially towards Cynder while she's telling him to 'let it go'. Moron.

And Cynder technically is new to emotions. So it's not like she could be sad for him, Because she never felt it beforehand.

spyro dont know iggys is th chronicler! so he wouldnt deal with it better because of that. and yes she is new to emotion but spyro could have helped her learn on that front eg been more emotional and she could have understood better. and its not just guys that channel emotion into anger! -roar- jests

and i liked his design better in ANB because he looked more tangible, lionlike in someways, mouth movements were off but the jaw movement is still not right. his head looked better in ANB the jaw especially, anyone get what i'm on about?

Even though I like Ignitus, I agree with you. It's like the developers had no idea what to do with him, and I hated how he had the permanent grin on his face. His old design was better.

The whole reason he did that was because he didn't have enough energy to go through the belt of fire but he had enough energy to save Spyro and Cynder... Also, Ignitus is the source of the energy, thats like throwing yourself off a building holding the end of a bungie rope in your hand, you have the energy with you but its not doing you any good...

Why did he have to die :'( I don't get it...

I understand why she said that, because what would you rather have, 1.one person dies then you look for that person then the worlds ends, and everyone dies, or, 2.have one person die then you go to save the world, and every one lives, I would choose 2. And you'll be fullfilling you father figures 'will' to keep going, because thats why Ignitus was training him for the finale battle. But Cynders voice acting was TERRIBLE.

My sister's obsessed with his death scene, it's annoying.

But he wouldn't have not been there anyway, he himself said that ghosts/spirits stay in the world, and he became teh Chronicler (some believe he came back to life for this, personally I don't. As the Chronicler passed his power on, he just vanished, a quality of a ghost I suppose, so I reckon Chroniclers are ghosts.)

line hogger! + only had one line each! But i didnt want him to die, he should have just ran through the belt of fire instead of giving a speach, or flown over it.

yer whill he was giving his speach he could have easily pushed his way through or even done as spyro said "there must be another way!" or he could have even an through and if he was burnt he could have stopped,dropped rock and rolled!

Nah, the producers were ones who chose Christina Ricci to voice Cynder. Big mistake.

I liked Ignitus. But as said before, Cynder's voice actor is bad, "Spyro. stop. let it go. '' Wierd that Cynder didn't care about it.

during ignitus' speech, he could have walked across the whole thing... and if they knew that the destroyer was gonna block their path with the belt of fire ahead of time, why didn't spyro and cynder just go and leave the dark crystals to the guardians?! it would have saved time and spared a life! but nooo... the creators had to get all emotional and KILL him... the heartless people! i almost cried when i knew that he died! :`(

But he didn't die! He now the Chroncal!

I'm sorta glad Ignitus the line hogger died in DoTD but if he died in TEN or ANB when he had a waaaaay better personality and look i would have cried.

Anyhoo, I think Spyro should have gotten way madder as DarkSpyro and gone psycho and then Cynder should have beaten the sense back into him.
