They wouldn't have, they were going to smash Spyro's egg... Even if Ignitus didn't take Spyro's egg to the silver river Cynder would have been captured and Spyro would have been killed...

I like the idea but not for this series... Spyro has always been good except for his dark side and he doesn't hurt anyone who doesn't deserve it lol
