I have been wondering if the game would have been better if Krome had done it. I wonder what would be different in the story line, and how much would have changed. Maybe the story is the same and Krome and Sierra had already planned it out, before Sierra kicked them out.

The game would've been better if Krome had done it,but ELB did all right.

Yeah, but EL kinda made the Guardians smile almost all the time with their version of them.

The plothole on why Spyro and Cynder look like teenagers would've never occured without changing Spyro and Cynder's design, but they're still the same size as they were in TEN. Also Cynder's jewelry wouldn't suddenly appear on her, since she didn't have them on in TEN.

Why do people assume that the story would have been different if it was made by Krome? It's Sierra who make the story and they probabaly would have requested Spyro and Cynder to look like teenages too... The only difference would be that it would probabaly have the same moves as TEN/ANB, I mean there probabaly wouldn't be light attack, strong attack, grab ETC, and the level design would be different... Personaly I think that the change in developers was a good idea. TEN was good but it was too much like ANB. DOTD changed it so when you played on it you actualy thought 'Good, this isn't another ANB rip-off just like TEN was...'

^ I half agree with that. I would hate to play ANOTHER ANB. DOTD's stile was good. I liked how they made the levels wide and not all squished in and it didn't have that much combat. If they made the elements and moves better, add more bosses and make the game harder and longer, make the free flight better and not change Spyro, Cynder and all the others design, then the game would off been heaps good.

I agree, but they rushed it in order to sell the game in October 2008.

i agree but,i liked Spyro and Cynders new design( i hate the Cynder fantards)and i dont like the other new designs.

Hopefully, they'll allow us to play as Little Spyro and Cynder in the next game, as an extra or something. We'll probably never get the chance the play them again, unless the next game developer makes Spyro and Cynder look like their Krome-style versions.

Me too, she was cute in TEN. Wish they kept her and Spyro's TEN Krome design if EL was making the game, so there wouldn't be any plotholes about their appearances.

It wasn't really a plot hole, it just wasn't explained in the game. I mean, how could they? The only way I can think is one of the guardians saying about they've grown or something. But you wouldn't wake up and think 'Oh look, I've grown'... I mean, you don't notice that you've grown. To you you'll always seem like your the same. But I do think that they had a prototype of that first cutscene... Because on that clip that was recorded by the person it was there TEN models that were suspended in the crystal...

It was not a smart idea to throw it to EL. Sierra clearly intended to rush DotD out to stores... and swapping developers in the middle of the process only left the final product unfinished. Evidence of DotD's lack of completion is everywhere. e_e

Yeah, changing game developers during a game trilogy when everyone was used to Krome's style of Spyro, was a bad idea. They should've thought this through, and not have allowed EL to mess around with the character designs.

It would've made sense if EL made the next Spyro game, while Krome Studios did DotD instead to finish the LoS trilogy since ANB and TEN were made by the same game developer.

That is if the game developer for the next Spyro game won't mess up Spyro and Cynder's design again. It would be nice if Mike Graham included TEN Spyro and Cynder skins as extra bonuses or something in the next Spyro game, if they appear as teens.

Well, now that they have the older designs, and they are probably going to continue TLOS, I have feeling that we won't see lil Spyro again. D:

I hope Activison makes Spyro go back to his younger form. Spyro is supposed to be a cute lil dragon not a teenager.... That I think is ugly....

I want the next Spyro game to be about Cynder's past. But I doubt that will happen....

EL should've made the next Spyro game instead, not make DotD to be filled with plotholes.

It didn't get good reviews because it rushed out of the development studio. The same thing happened to DotD only on a much grander scale.

That's because DotD was made by a game developer no one knew about until they announced them developing the Spyro game.

Well, that was probably to save money. I'm guessing Sierra was tight for cash (as the developer swap came before the Activision merger that saved their hides and jobs), and figured they could save some green if they went with an obscure European development team instead of a slightly more renowned Australian team. <.<;

I still don't understand why would they suddenly change Spyro and Cynder's design. Spyro and Cynder can both fly in their TEN forms, it doesn't make sense at all, why Chris and Mike made them teens when they were supposed to be frozen in time and stuck small.

but it was a time crystal so mabye it allowed them to grow during their imprison in there.

Yeah, but when Hunter found them, they were still in their TEN forms. That means, it was the change of art style, that made Spyro and Cynder look grown up

oh yeah. never thought of that. hmmmm. i think the teen look is o.k, spyro just looks..........weird. and cynder doesnt look like she can take a couple of hits.

Ugh! Why didn't they think this through enough?? We would've understood why they extended the deadline to add something in the game that was supposed to be in it, but they rushed it in order for DotD to sell in the Fall.
