Can anyone help me decide which version of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night to choose: PS2 or wii?

The Wii version is the superior one ; it's slightly better graphically (less lag), has slight textual enhancements, and offer the choice between Wiimote-based controls and normal controls (using the Classic Controller).
Still, the difference is nowhere near as, say, GBA and DS or PS2 and mobile phone so if you don't have a Wii and only have a PS2, don't frett. ... although I'd recommend getting a Wii anyway, regardless of if you want the Wii version of Spyro 7 or not (Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros Brawl...). |

I was ready with a Wii anyway, thanks in part to Super Paper Mario. Still, your insight was much appreciated.

I don't have a Wii (stuck with the PS2 version), but I recommend it. You can game AND move around. What's not to love?

*will buy classic controller if game pisses him off*
Other than that, I'll just use the "B" button to do combat if stuck in too large a group of enemies. <.<;

The worst damge I got from Wii-ing was a nasty bruise on my chin. That's the worst of my damages. (I also cracked my wrist real bad now it kinda stings...)

i don't have a wii, i have a ps2, though, there's not that much difference between the two games, storyline is the same, the wii version just has better graphics.

Yep, I've had it for nearly two weeks and haven't even come close to any damage. The closest we ever got was my brother knocking his elbow into my bulletin board above my computer screen when doing his little tennis campaign on Wii Sports ()

Anyone who says that the Wii is dangerous is either:
1-a big fat liar. 2-an idiot who swings his Wiimote like a moron. 3-someone who play games that require baseball swings-like motions with several other people. I do own the Wii and played many of its games. It's a rather silly myth that you need to swing the Wiimote around a lot ; all you need is simply pointing and simple, short motions. Heck, you can still play 90% of the games sitting down on a chair like all the other console games! The difference is that moving the controller actually do something unlike with older consoles. ... and well, if it bother you THAT much, you can always play using the Classic Controller, which require no motions at all. So, the argument about it being unsafe is rather ridiculous. |

Zerodius is right, I've had no problem with my Wii either... except now one Wiimote has a bad B button! My brother and I were playing a baseball minigame on Mario Party 8 and we accidentally banged them together! But it's all his fault!!

Isn't the Wii Version harder and tiring? Don't you have to jerk the Wii controller in order to attack? Whereas, the PS2 Version, you just press a button to attack?

You can also just press the B button to attack on the Wii version.

Hmm. I would say PS2 cuz it might be easier to use, in my opinion, even though I've never played the Wii before.

The PS2's almost dead, and the PS3 still has a hunch of problems to call its own relating to backwards compatability issues (hey, I'm British >.>) and lack of interesting games (though I DO want to approach Ratchet & Clank Future). Hence, the Wii was needed while the PS3 gets its act together, and it seems to be a big hit around the household

The wii version gives it a new element and if you're in a bad mood it certainly helps you get it all out your system. I have los on ps2 but i'm so impressed with the wiis TEN that i haven't even bothered to complete it now. Missed half the story i know but hey...

The eternal night on the wii is the superior sku. The framerate is a bit smoother, textures (characters and environment) are higher resolution & there's the choice between the two control layouts.
The wiimote controls are pretty easy to get a hang of, but the only downside is that the camera is a bit clunkier, as you use the d-pad on the 'mote and not an analogue stick. |

Framerate on Wii is superior, but what about PS2 TEN on PS3?
Wil it have a smooth frame rate with the enhancements from its super processor and graphics chip?

From what I heard, it didn't exactly get emulated properly on a PS3.

Someone on youtube did a video showing the ps3's true backwards capability of PS2 games. The picture lines were slightly fuzzy. What about PS1 games? Does the PS3 have any issues with them?
