When someone posts a massive picture, is it possible for the site to scale the image so it would fit in the post and not have to scroll down to scroll left and right?

I've seen forums do that before, it'd be a nice feature to have around...

If I remember right, HTML code alone can do this. I remember punching in an image code and using WIDTH and HEIGHT tags to force and scale the image into a 320x240. Maybe some PHP script will determine the size of an image and scale it down? The aspect ratio should be preserved so that the image doesn't look squashed.

Problem is, most users don't know how to do that (thanks to graphic design class I do xD)

Even if it's like a 'secret code', it probably won't activate.

No, I mean that the website does that automatically. All posted images that are huge will be forced down to size automatically. Look at *ahem* SpyroForum for example.
