I don't think the Dark Master is Spyro's dad because he was the FIRST purple dragon born (not the one before Spyro) and he was banished from the dragon realms waaaaaaaaay before Spyro was born...

maybe it's not that hes his dad, but theres something about him that's in Spyro
and that's why he turned into a dark dragon at the end of TEN

A gift from the gods gone awry, how do you fight it.
Wash rinse and repeat, the celestial intervention way.
Any way I doubt the DM's Spyro's father in any conventional way (DM died years before Spyro's birth), more like "partial, spiritual reincarnation". I've thought of the concept for ages but the term for it I only just of.

Hmmm, interesting thought, Red as Spyro's father. I'm a strong believer that LoS is a prequel not a restart. Krome said in an interview with IGN that they never said LoS was a reboot, only their Sierra and VU games (the publishers) said that. The interview is still on the Darkspyro home page I think.
