hey. i'm going to write my second story but i might as well call it my first story cause i am re-writing my first one (which i didn't even finish.)
so i have changed alot of things around and hopefully i am better at naming charecters now. Though i have to give rights to spyrocrazy for giving me the main charecters name Mersrek.

CHAPTER 1 PART 1

Sensor looked up into the night sky; the icy cold air-cooled his thoughts, he had managed to lead a group of heinous hunters away from his family and clan. It was a tough job considering that they were trained by Moccasin himself. The darkest and most powerful dragon in assistance. Sensor just couldn’t believe the news when he was told he had returned. Everyone know he was dead. Sensor even fount him. His clan had joined an army with so many others who wanted to put a stop to Moccasin. Lives were lost in the progress but in the end they won. They actually defeated Moccasin. Sensor could still remember the night when he had just witnessed the fall of Moccasin and watching his followers running away. He knew the Heinous hunters were powerless without there leader. Now they all wanted revenge on the Dragon elders for prisoning them in the forest of despair. Since Moccasin was back, they were going to get there revenge. Though the Elders den is well hidden. No one knows where it is only those who are very close to the Elders. That is why he was still safe. As long as the Elders were not harmed he was safe along with his clan. He would know if the Elders were harmed because if they were then his clan would lose there shield charm that stopped anyone in there clan to get wounded. It was a blessing the Elders gave them for there long hard journeys they had went on for the elders. After all they were the Protectors.

Protectors was a name they gave their clan. They were given it not for there dangerous journey they went on that did same some of the Elders lives but for there knowledge they shared. It was there special job to keep all the ancient stories and legends a secret and only passed on to the next Elders in line. Which is what they were there clan was the one that had proved themselves capable of being elders. Though they still hadn’t proved themselves enough because the Elders had still not shared one of the oldest secrets to them the prophecy. Now the Elders had told them a lot of Prophecies most of which had been fulfilled but this one was the oldest and was still not fulfilled. Only two people had know about that prophecy which was Alastair and Gainesboro. Though Gainesboro ran off and told Moccasin about the Prophecy. Which brings us today. Moccasin is doing all in his power to make sure that no egg is hatched. He sent the Heinous hunters out to smash all eggs they could get there hands on. Even if the eggs would not be ready to hatch on the full moon but Moccasin didn’t want to risk the chosen one slipping out from his grasp. That’s when Sensor had lead the Heinous hunters the wrong way so that they couldn’t get there hands on his egg. He had to protect it to all cost. Sensor only wished that the shield charm the Elders gave them protected unhatched eggs. Unfortunately since they were unborn they were not classed as part of there clan yet.

Sensor looked around him one last time to make sure no one was looking then took off to into the air and flew to the rocky edge of the cliff across the river.

CHAPTER 1 PART 2

It was a small cave up in the highest cliff. You could hear the crashing of the waves from down below. There was going to be a storm tonight. When Sensor came in the cave he saw Marla and the beautiful egg on the ground. Though Marla was not alone she was companied by a group of 10 dragons. There was a tall red one, who went by the name of Alastair. Then next to Alastair was a green dragon called Torg and his sister Teal. Teal’s mate Ren who was a tall golden brown dragon like his brother Azure. Then the two twin sisters Lexis and Lavender. Lastly a dark blue male dragon called Ivory and his mate Thistle, a lilac blue dragon and there was Ivory’s and Thistle’s daughter Lilia, who was lilac just like her mother. Lilia was very young. She only hatched a day ago.

“You made it back ok, then?” asked Alastair who was circling the cave deep in thought.
“ not exactly, a few heinous hunters spotted me, I just lost them.” panted sensor.
“So you think Moccasin has heard the Prophecy?” asked Teal courteously.
“yes, Gainesboro must of told him. He’s Hunting all the eggs he can find. If there ready to hatch or not. Where’re lucky he didn’t catch us.” Sensor answered.
“ Alastair tells us the Prophecy please, just once.” Marla asked.
“Well I shouldn’t really repeat it. It’s the law of the elders never to repeat it. Only the Elders should really know unless they trust you enough to tell you.” Alastair stated.
“Please Alastair. This could concern us, all of us. We need to know.” pleaded Marla looking down at her precious egg.
“Well all right. Only because Gainesboro has already broken the rules and told Moccasin.” Alastair replied.

Everyone settled down are turned to face Alastair eagerly.

“An egg is lain in the end of June,
And will hatch in the night of the full moon.
Born in a clan who fought an accent battle,
Watch out for the friend who is likely to tattle.
When all the animals had vanished from sight,
The dragons starve right into the night.
With the great clan is so weak and falling apart,
The chosen one must then walk alone then the battle really starts.
When a promise is broken and the truth gets out,
The chosen one is broken and full of doubt.
Only one person so honest and true,
May stand with the chosen one and fight the battle too.
Cause it’s their love and passion and not there might,
Which is more likely to put up a better fight.
To win they must seek out the shadow stone,
But who is victorious is still unknown.”

When Alastair finished he stared back at everyone. They all stared back at him. No one dared to speak. Alastair then broke the silence.

“There is more but unfortunately I can not tell you.” Alastair finally said.
“Why didn’t you tell us before?” This time Teal asked. Marla was not interested in the Prophecy anymore. Marla knew that the Prophecy included them but she wanted Alastair to prove her wrong. She stared down at the little egg. She didn’t want her baby to get hurt. She wanted to just run away with her, run away from the prophecy so that she could have a proper family. She didn’t want to fight another battle. She didn’t want her hatchling to either.
“I told you I was forbidden from telling anyone.” Alastair answered Teal.
“yeah but now you have already told us the first part you might as well tell us the rest.” Teal asked again.
“ I have told you I am forbidden.” Alastair shouted trying to get it in Teals head.
“ I know but you were forbidden from telling us the first part. You might as well …
“I will say it for the last time, I am forbidden from speaking of it at all but I thought since the first part isn’t as bad as the second part and since Moccasin know then I should tell you. I thought it would be fair if you knew what Moccasin knew. Now that’s all.” Alastair said more calmly.
“Yeah but what if he knows the second part as well.”
“He wouldn’t know.”
“How do you know that?” teal asked again
“I just know ok.” Alastair shouted.
Teal was not bothered to reply she just stormed of to the back of the cave away from Alastair.

Marla did not notice the fight or Teal storming off. She was too busy staring at her egg. She then looked up at Alastair worried.
“The full moon, it’s tomorrow.” Marla said worried
“Yes, it will be.” Alastair said calmly.
“Alastair, my egg. He, she is the chosen one.” cried Marla
“Unfortunately you are right.” Alastair said slowly watching Marla burst into tears.
