This is based on my After The End:After DOTD RP in The Games and RP forum. Please join! This story is about what happens after TEN, but WAY diffrent.

Prolouge:
"Spyro Stop!" Cynder cried.
"I,,I can't."Spyro whispered. Cynder leaped into the air and knocked him out of the beam.
"Its okay. Spyro, your with friends." Cynder murmered.
"Iam sorry. i couldn't stop." Spyro said. Then the roof of the Well Of Souls started to collapse.
"Uh oh! Thats are only way out!" Sparx warned.
"Come on! Nows are chance!" Cynder urged.
Spyro slowly got up and they glided out of the Well Of Souls. they just got out when the roof collapesed!
"That was close." Spyro said.
"Now lets get out of here." Sparx said.

Later,,,
Malefor watched from his Lair as The Destroyer made his way toward the end of his circle. Malefor army had taken over the temple early and kept them at bay, so Maelfor resurrcted the Destroyer early. Then The Destroyer crawled into the volcano,completing its circle. The force shook the earth, and the volcano erupted. The earth shook as fire burned the earth and his troops whooped in victory. Malefor smiled and roared in thruiph. His army won, they took over the world and turned it into its firey version.

Chapter 1:
Ember catoiusly looked out the window. She lived in DragonFly Falls, it used to be buetiful. But now lava tinted the water and harden rock killed the vegtaion. She crawled out of her cave to look for food. A small mueskrat scuttled nearby. Ember pounced on it and killed it. She cooked it and ate the meat. But it was scrawny and didn't make much of a meal.
There has to be a better place to live. She thought. Ember trotted through the dead ferns. then she heard growling and scurrying nearby.
Iam I being followed? She thought. Then a creature leaped on her and hissed.
A vampire dragon! Vampires came to be when dragons were infetced by lava tinged water. Ember screeched and threw the vampire dragon of of her. She ran as fast as she could, the vampire in pursuit. Ember jumped over a log, where another vampire was in wait. The second vampire snapped at her heels, making her run even faster. She jumped over a creivce, but she silpped and she dangled from the ledge. Her claws scraped against the stones as the vampires prepared to leap at her,,
Then something burned wind on the vampires, blowing them into the lava below. The dragon glided over to Embers side and pulled her up. it was a hatchling, about her age. He was green with brown underbelly and yellow horns. he had green eyes and orange wings.
"You,,you saved my life. Thank you. My names Ember. Whats yours?" Ember said.
"Iam Leafwind." the dragon grunted.
"Well. I have to re-pay you somehow. Come, stay at my place. it looks like you need a rest." Ember said.
"Thanks. i haven't had a good place to stay in weeks." Leafwind said in a deep voice and followed Ember.

Oh, this is only the beigging of the story!! And remeber, Spyro and Cynder are hatchlings at this time.

Chapter 2
Spyro trotted through the burned valley, with Sparx and Cynder close behind.
"This valley must be as scorched as Cynder." Sparx mumbled. Cynder slapped him with her tail.
"I see some food. lets eat." Spyro licked his lips and ran toward it. Cynder noticed a green peice of thread around it, and it led to some sort of trigger,,
"Spyo! No,stop!" Cynder cried and ran after him. it was too late. The net snapped and trapped Spyro and Cynder! Three cheetahs came out of the bushes and picked up the net. Cynder wailed in terror.
"Well,well,well, what do we have here?" the first one sneered.
"Let us go!" Spyro screeched and tried to breathe fire. Nothing happened.
"Save your breath, dragon. its a magic net that disables a dragons magic." the second one hisssed. the cheetahs dragged the horrified hatchlings away while Spyro and Cynder struggled to escape.
Sparx poked put from his hiding spot.
"I have to get help!" Sparx whispered and flew away toward smoke on top of a cliff.
There must be someone willing to help up there! Sparx thought as he buzzed toward the smoke.

Chapter 3

Flame tossed and turned by the fire. He woke up and stared into the fire.
I just can't sleep. Flame thought sadly. He lived in this valley for a long time. Now it was reduced to rubble and the cheetahs were always on the prowl for dragons to eat. Flame had lost his home, and hope. Then he heard a slap. Flame turned to see a small, yellow dragonfly caught in his sticky insect trap.
"Good. Maybe a tasty,bedtime snack will help me sleep." Flame said as he licked his lips.
The dragonfly tossed around and bobbed him in the snout.
"Back off bone-breath." The dragonfly muttered.
"Hey, my one fat friend and his murderous girlfriend are captured, can you help me?" The dragonfly asked.
"I don't know, I don't ussaly help little,tasty dragonflies who ask me for help after insulting me." Flame said suspiously.
"Come ONNNNNNNNNN,,, they;ll get eaten if they don't get rescued soon, or whatever they do to small dragons." The dragonfly begged.
"They're dragons?" Flame said,suprised.
"YES!" the dragonfly screeched.
"Fine." Flame said,rolling his eyes.
"Good. Now can you let me down? the bloods rushing to my head." The dragonfly said. Flame noticed that the dragonfly was stuck upside down, so he must have been pretty dizzy this entire time. Flame freed the insect from the trap.
"Iam Flame, whats your name?" Flame said.
"Sparx." Sparx said, shaking his head.

Later they crouched in a bush, in the cheetah village.
there they are!" Sparx said, pointing. Flame followed Sparx's pointing finger. Sure enough there was a magic cage that contained a purple and a black hatchling. The cheetahs grabbed the hatchlings and prepared to tie them over top of a fire.
"Your friend is a purple dragon!?" Flame asked in alarm. FLmae prepared to run. After what Malefor done to the world, the'yr was no way he was freeing a purple dragon.
"Yes. But hes friendly. His name is Spyro, he tired to save the world!" Sparx expalined, as if sensing Flames painc.
"Oh." Flame relaxed. He heard stories of Spyro, how he tried to save the world.
"Now!" Flame whispered and he pounced. he knocked one of the cheetahs over that held Spyro. he bretahed fire on the one holding the black dragon.
"Run!" flame commanded.
Soon the hatchlings and Sparx were back at Flames den.
"Thank you, you saved our lives. Iam Spyro, and this is Cynder." Spyro said.
"Iam Flame. you don't have to thank me. It was glowing lantern here that made me come to the rescue." Flame siad. Sparx glared at Flame when he said the sentence.
"he described you as his fat friend and his murderous girlfriend." Flame said. Spyro and Cynder glared at Sparx.
"What?" Sparx said, shrugging his shoulder.

Chapter 4

Ember and Leafwind walked through the dead trees on one foggy morning.
"So where do you come from?" Ember said as she stepped on a twig, making it snap.
"I grew up in Warfang, but soon after Malefor officaly destroyed the world, he attacked the city. Iam one of the only survivors of that attck." Leafwind said sadly.
"Iam so sorry." Ember said, laying her tail-tip on his shoulder.
"So what about you, did you live here your entire life?" Leafwind asked.
"Yeah. I went on vaction sometimes. But there was a lot of suffering once Malefor took over. I had a hard time making through every day myself." Ember said. All the sudden the ground rumbled, making Leafwind slip.
"Did you hear that?" Leafwind said, looking around in alarm.
"I felt it,yeah." Ember repiled. A louder rumble came, and then an explosion! Ember and Leafwind stared in horror as a nearby volcano eruppted as lava destoryed everything in its path. Ember and Leafwind ran like the windd to avoid the lava. All of the sudden a tree fell over and sent a cloud of ash into the air.
"This way!" Leafwind said, guiding Ember with his tail. the smoke became very thick, making it almost impossible to see. Ember fell into a stream, but got out before the current could sweep her away. Then the ground seemed to end and Leafwind fell! Ember stood on the edge of the cliff to see Leafwind falling to his death.
"LEAFWIND!!!" Ember screeched. Ember looked back to see the current of lava getting closer. There was only one way to save Leafwind, and herself, Ember knew.
Fly.
Ember colsed her eyes and felt the wind roar in her ears and brush around her scales. Ember slowly opened her wings as the wind grew louder and louder and she could feel the wind on her face.
"I,,can,,fly,,I,,can,,,"Ember pondered.
"FLY!" Ember yelled as she leaped off the cillf and into the foggy abyss below. A few seconds later she carried Leafwind to the other side as the lava domainted the land on the other side. Ember landed o the other side roughly, doing a barrel rolls untill she crashed.
"Owwww,," Leafwind groaned. The hatchlings looked back on their now ruined home.
"Its,,gone." Ember said, looking down at the ground in sadness.
Leafwind wrapped his wing around her to comfort her.
"We can't go back now. We'll just have to fly away." Leafwind said. Then Leafwind reliazed the error in his words.
"How do you fly?" Leafwind asked. So Ember told him how to fly, by just letting the wind spirts carry you into flight. Then Leafwind jumped into vthe air and soared away with Ember colse behind.

Chapter 5
The sound of rumbling woke Spyro.
"Youre finnaly up!" Sparx mumbled. But Spyro saw fear in his eyes.
"Whats going on?" Flame yawned, woken by Sparx's mumbling.
"You should see for yourself." Sparx said. Spyro and Flame trotted outside. Cynder was already up, staring in horror at something. Spyro and Flame followed her gaze and caught the horrible sight. A colony of huge lava monsters were invading the valley. The cheetahs were fleeing in terror. Flame looked over the edge to see the horrible, butt- ugly creatures had almost reached the top.
"They're really close!" Flame warned.
"Run for your pituful lives!" Sparx cried.
"For once I actullay agree." Spyro said. So the four friends fled through thr forest as the monsters slowly caught up, seeting evreything on fire as they passed,for they were made of lava. Soon the fire spread and surronded the hatchlings. The monsters surronded them."Were trapped!" Cynder wailed. But Spyro felt a suprisingly cool breeze surrond him. He closed his eyes and opened his wings as the roaring of the wind grew louder. Then he jumped into the air and flew into the sky with Sparx,Cynder and Flame close behind. The monsters below roared in fustration. Spyro gagged as the smoke invaded his nostrils.
"Over here! Its clearer!" Flame yelled over the crackling fire. Soon the four escapeses found claer sky and flew far away from their home. At sunset they reached a jungle area.
"How do we land!?" Cynder asked. It was too late. The dragons landed on the muddy gorund, sliding and slipping. Soon they landed in a heap,covered in mud and groaning.
"Wheres Sparx?" Flame wondered.
"In here." A muffled voice sounded from Spyro's mouth. Spyro opened his mouth and out flew Sparx, covered in dragon saliva.
"YUCK!"Sparx said.
Later the dragons rested in a log by a pond, where they washed themsleves off and were about to fall asleep wen they're was a loud splash. the hatchlings rushed out to see what had caused the disturbance. A green hatchling and a pink hatcling cralwed out of the water, gasping for air.
"Who are you?" Spyro grolwed, apreading his wings in defense.
"Iam Leafwind, and this is Ember. We have no home, will you let us stay?" Leafwind asked poiltley, but yet confident.
"Umm, okay." Flame said. So the one dragonfly and the five hatchlings lay down in the hollow log and fell asleep.

Anybody still reading?
Cynder ran to catch up with the group. It was morning, servral nights after the five of them met. Flame had found a map to a place called Green Valley, the only sutible place to live left. They were heading north to The Floating Islands, the destination in order to acess the Green Valley.
"Are you sure were heading the right way?" Spyro asked.
"Yes Iam sure." Flame said impatently.
"The wind is blowing toward us, and theres a storm in the north, so we are going the right way." Leafwind said. About five hundered yards later they came to a flooded river. The white flood water roared as broken tree branches and other debris were dragged on helplessly.
"How are we going to cross?" Flame groaned.
"Should we try flying?" Ember suggested.
"The winds too strong, it would be hopeless to fly." Cynder pointed out.
"Sparx, why don' you try scouting ahead?" Spyro said.
"Sure, make me do the suicide work." Sparx grumbled. the dragons waited untill he came back.
"Theres some stepping stones over there, but I think you might be too fat to cross." Sparx reported. Spyro snorted and followed Sparx to the stepping stones. Ember went first. She stepped carefully over the first two, then Flame followed. Spyro went next, the Cynder, and Leafwind in the rear. Up north, the flooded water wrecked a beaver dam, and the water was higher then ever. The massive flood swept the hatchlings away. Cynder was dragged under, a prisnor to the rapids. Her vison was blurred with the bubbles and her lungs gasped for air. She reached the surface and gulped some air before she was dragged down again. Then the current was stronger then ever and Cynder saw a tornado of bubbles before she escaped to the surface.
[iIam being sucked into a whirlpool!i] She realized in terror. She paddled with all her might, but the whril pool was stronger. She was sucked under the center and heard Spyro calling from the shore. the whilpool spun her around like a rag doll untill a huge bubble took Cynder prisnor. The roar of the rapids was muted and Cynder couldn't strech her paws too far.
Iam trapped in a bubble! Cynder reailzed. Cynder noticed she could breathe and then half of the bubble surfaced, allowing Cynder to see what was going on. All of her compainons reached the shore and they looked around frantically for her.
"In here. Over here!" She screamed, but the bubble muted her cry. Then the bubble got stuck on a branch and it popped, Leaving Cynder to cling onto the wet bark for her life. Spyro noticed her and raced to her side, pulling her out of the river.
"Are you okay?" Spyro said.
"Iam fine. Cynder gasped for air. Her freinds rushed to the scene.
"Your not a very good swimmer are you?" Flame said. Cynder felt ready to die of embarrsment.
"Leave her alone! It wasn't her fault!" Spyro snapped. Cynder glared at him.
I don't need your help! She thought angrily. So the group carried on. The sky was dark when the group decided to rest for the night.
Spyro felt unusal feelings, his heart skipped a beat when he looked at Cynder and her voice sounded like bells. Cynder was in a bad mood ever since the river crossing, so he decided to get her flowers. When they stopped at a ditch, he found a rose bush and plucked some of the roses. Then he bit a thorn.
"Ow!" Spyro exclaimed and backed up into a tree and a beehive fell over his head.
"Ahhhhhh!!" Spyro screamed and ran around, blinded. Cynder pulled the hive off and used fear on the bees, killing them. Spyro's face was coated in honey and beestings. The freinds rolled on the ground laughing.
"You saved me, I saved you. Now were even." Cynder giggled. Spyro washed his face and slumpt into his nest, depressed and humialted.

The next day was cloudy and gray. The hatchlings moved quickly to get lots of ground covered before a storm came in. Spyro was excited to see what lay ahead, his crush for Cynder forgotten. they came to a tall hill and climbed it.
"Its so steep!" Leafwind panted. The dragons surveyed the landscape. Lava poisoned the landscape and the grass was black.
"Yikes." Flame said.
"If were going to cover more ground we should-" Before Ember could finsih her sentence the dragons took off into the air.
"-fly." Ember said before she jumped into the air to join them. the wind grew stronger as the day grew on. Evantul;lay the wind was roaring in their ears. Flame crashed into Spyro who fell onto Leafwind. Before they knew it the dragons stumbled onto the ground. They untangled and looked up to find a tornado.
Before the hatchlings could do anything they were sucked in the tornado! the wind thrashed the dragons helplessly, esscpiclay Sparx. Spyro felt dizzy as he was flipped upside down and in all diffrent derictions. Finnaly he clung on to a torn tree with Sparx sheltered under his wing.
"I thought someone as fat as you couln't be thrashed around by the wind." Sparx joked.
"One flap of this wing and you'll be back in the whirling wind." Spyro warmed.
"I'll just shut up then." Sparx said quickly. he saw Leafwind struggle against the strong breeze.
"Leafwind! Over here!" Spyro screamed. Leafwind looked around and jumped from chunks of debirs closer to the tree. Leafwind leaped for the tree but the wind sucked him back out. Spyro bit into his scruff and pulled him away.
"Ouch! Watch it!" Leafwind shrieked. Spyro ignored his cries and struggled to pull him from the eye of the tornado. He finnaly got Leafwind on the tree and Leafwind clung to a branch, gasping and eyes wide with fright. All the sudden the tree swayed. Unprepared, the dragons were spit out of the tornado. they landed by Ember Flame and Cynder, groaning from the hard landing.
"We have to get to shelter before were sucked in again!" Flame yelled. The hatchlings ran like crazy to avoid the tornado. they found a small foxhole under a tree.
"Weel wait under here for now." Cynder said.
"Who made you boss?" Sparx said, but everybody ignored him. In the den the dirt was cracked and dry. The roots of the tree hung from the celing and it was very small. There was barely enough room for all six of them. They huddled togther in fear as the ground rumbled and dust poured from the celing as the tornado passed by. Soon they relaxed and fell asleep, exausted.

Heat poured over the dragons when they woke up the next morning. they scrambled outside. Spyro looked around in confusion. Dead trees and hardened lava covered the land. A dead forest lay on the horizon.
"The tornado must have carried us really far away." Ember gussed. Flame growled and pounded his fist in fustration.
"But we could have been dragged way of course!" Flame snarled. Spyro looked to the sky and saw something in the distance,,,
"Its the floating Islands!" Spyrio shreiked excitedly, pointing with his wing. the dragons followed his gaze and stared in amazement.
"I guess we are on the right track." Leafwind breathed.
"Then what are we waiting for lets go!" Cynder said, racing ahed eagerly. Spyro followed, energized by a renewed purpose.

Spyro helped Ember over a fallen log.
"Thanks Spyro." Ember said dreamily, batting her eyelashes. Cynder snorted in disgust. They reached the dead forest. only the scuttle of dead leaves was the movement of the trees around them.
"I don't like the looks of this place." Leafwind murmered.
"Same here." Cynder whispered. Everything about it made Cynder shiver. She couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. Flame led the way.
"Come on, the sooner we get out of here, trhe closer to the floating islands!" Flame said. Cynder growled in annoyance. Ever since the river crossing Flame tried to act like the leader. He grown to be pretty bossy and seemed to herd Ember and Cynder away from the other dragons. cynder felt herself slowing to walk besdie Ember.
"Did you notice that Flame always seems to try to keep us way from the others?" Cynder whispered, not wanting anybody else to hear.
"Yeah. Whenever Iam walking with Spyro, Flame tries to herd me away from him." Ember agreed. Cynder nodded. Embers comment only confirmed her thinking. Then she heard a stone clang on the forest floor.
"What was that?" Spyro said slowly, looking around. Cynder thought she saw something jump in the sir. Then she saw a creature, an grublin! Before Cynder could call the alarm a net fell over the dragons! Grublins surronded them as the hatclings struggled to escape the nets. One of the grublins clubbed Cynder on the head and she lost consiness.

Spyro woke up with a pounding headache. He was in a caged wagon surronded by grublins and other kinds of malefors minons. Sparx was asleep in a smaller cage hooked to the roof. Spyro investigated his surrondings.The walls were made of iron and there was only two small windows, making the light very dim. There were thin blankets were his companions slept. Soon they started to wake up.
"What happned?" Leafwind groaned.
Before anybody could answer a huge troll opened the iron door, followed by three grublins."So there awake, are they? Well, heres your supper." The troll said gruffly. The dragons dug into dinner, but were dissapointed to find it very small. The emnimes laughed cruelly.
"Why can't they carry some of the stuff? Iam tired." one of the grublins compalined.
"No. out their they will regain their stregth and escape. besides, they need to save their energy when they become corupted." the troll talked about the plans as if they weren't even there. It was that when SPyro noticed that the air wasn't natural. It smelled really sweet and breathing it made SPyro droswy. His eyes blurred as he went back to sleep.
Every day went by as the drug made the dragons drowsier and drowsier, most of the time they didn't even sit up. None of them even had the enrgy to speak. Spyro could feel his mind clouding and his emotions nubmed,, but he was too tired to think about it. Then one eveining when they neared the burned lands, thier one and only chace revaled itself. the jailer in charge of the dragons carelessly didn't shut the door and the sweet air leaked out.
Spyro breathed fresh air for the first time in weeks and felt the fog clearing from his mind. e could see his friends were recovering too.
"What happned to us? How could we have stayed here for so long?" Ember said.
"It was the air. They drugged it to make us lose our senses. But now the doors open,and we can escape." leafwind said. before he could say anything else. Flame pushed through.
"Whoa, Iam in charge here, I'll make the plans." He snapped. Everybody glared at FLame, but their was no time for arguement.
"Were going to slip out the door and sneak past the jailer. We can run to the hills and hide when they're gone." Flame said.
"Thats a terrible plan!" Cynder hissed. But nobody had a better idea. they snuck out and jumped of the wagon.
"Follow me!" Flame said, a little too loudly. A grublin turned around a raised the alarm. Spyro and Leafwind breathed earth to create a mudhole which sevral grublins sunk in. Cynder breathed fear to make them forget and Ember and Flmae breathed fire. Thye dragons ran away but the trolls were faster.
"Fly away!" Spyro commanded before Flame could say anything. The trolls tried to shoot arrows, but the hactlings were already to high. The trolls howled as the dragons flew toward the burned lands.

Spyro turned quickly to avoid a erupting lava gyser. They reached the burned lands, which was full of lava and molten rock and dead trees.
"What is this place?" Sparx whimpered. The dragons landed to rest. They flew for a long time to get away, and the drug still affected them mildly. A tree creaked as lava made it fall. The tree was reduced to black, chalk like ashes as the tree burned in a river of lava.
"This place is terrible." Ember said anixously.
"Don't worry Ember. I'll protect you." Flame said, shuffling closer to Ember.
"I don't need protection." Ember growled, stalking angrily ahead. Spyro sighed and rolled his eyes. Flame got so over-confisent ever since he found that map! Soon they found a hollow log. It was pretty croweded. For the first time Spyro noticed how much they grown since their journey began. They had grown about three inches and his claws were more sharp. His wings were longer and made it easeir to fly. His chest plate had grown thicker and his scales had grown rougher,like sandpaper. His stamina had increased and he could run longer and breathe elements more. his tail was longer and helped improve his balance.
"I guess were to big to be hatchlings." Leafwind said.
"Then what age group are we?" Spyro wondered.
"I think this age level is called wyverns." Ember gussed. After more chatting the wyverns fell asleep.

The next morning the ground rumbled.
the wyverns stumbled outsdie and struggled to stand.
"What was that?" Flame said, for once sounding unsure.
"Its coming from over here." Ember said, pointing nervously at the lava. All the sudden it exploded and the golem roared angrily.
"AHHHHH!!" Ember skriked, cowering under the golems shadow. Flame jumped in front of her and spread his wings defensivly.
"Leave her alone!" Flame screamed. the golem swatted Flame out of the way and shot his hand toward Ember. Flame breathed fire on the golems hand, distracting it. Ember saw her chance and flew into the air, flaming its eye. the golem roared and swatted Ember, but missed. cynder approched from behind and breathed poison on its back. The posion parlyzed the golem, allowing Spyro and Leafwind to shoot earth bombs at it, shattering its shoulder. the golem shouted and swatted Leafwinfd and Spyro away and breathed fire on the other dragons. He pounded his fist of their talis and the dragons roared with pain. Spyro froze the golems hand, but the golem only swatted them with its other hand.
"We can't fight it! Its too storng!" Ember said. But the dragons fogot about Sparx. the golems crystal brain had been exposed during prevoius battles,and Sparx had found that weak spot. Sparx gathered sharp stones and threw them at the brain, purple crystal chunks flying off as the golem fought the dragons. the golem slowly became weaker, untill Sparx threw the last stone and the golems brain socket became empty. The golem screeched and fell back into the lava, dead.

"WHat just happened?" Spyro said suspoiusly. The golem was winning and all of the sudden it was dead?
"Over here!" SParx called. He explained how he threw stones at its exposed brain and bragged on and on. Everybofdy belived hima nd congrtualted him.
"Good job SParx!" Cynder laughed.
"Whoop de do. Lets just go." Flame said grumpily, the only one who didn't cleabrate SParxs victory.
"Oh,cheer up Flame. So what a puny dragonfly saved us?" Spyro argued.
"Because its not right. I was fighting it well at first. I could have killed it by myslef." Flame boasted.
"Oh yeah right! Did you see the way he swatted you aside?!" Leafwind spat.
"Come on, we need to get to the floating islands, NOW!" Flame barked and led them away.
Ember turned red as she faced Flame, nose to nose.
" You got a lot of nerve to treat me and Cynder like helpless dragonesses and boss the rest of us around and excpet us to follow you as leader. I lived in areas like this before, I'll lead." She snapped and led the way. verybody followed. Flame stomped after them, to angry to speak.

The wind picked up as Ember guided them through the scorched, dry lands.
"Spyro, do you remeber the night at the temple when you bought me back from when you unpoised me form coruptoion?" Cynder said.
"Yeah." Spyro said.
"How the beds were so soft and warm, and the gaurdians were frendly," Spyro turned to notice that Cynder's head hung, tears strolling down her cheeks. SPyro wrapped his wing around her.
"Oh,Cynder, you miss the temple,don't you?" Spyro said.
"It will always be home Spyro, even if its rotting to the ground, thanks to Malefor." Cynder sobbed angrily. Flame poked through them.
"Break it up. We need to keep moving." Flame grumbled. Spyro slapped him angrily and stalked ahead. Flame screeched and slaped him, hard.
Spyro glared at him angrily.
"Your not the boss, so back off!" He shouted. Leafwind jumped inbetween them.
"Enough! Last thing we need right now is fighting among oursleves!" Leafwind snapped. Spyro Stomped ahead, steaming. Soon they came to a high cliff, a river of lava breaking away the rock.
"See that volcano? We'll use it as an updraft and get to the floating islands." Ember said as they crossed a rock bridge high over the river of lava. then the ground frumbled and SPyro dug his claws in the rock to keep his blance. Then one volcano exploded and sevral grublins and trolls chased after them. The ground shook voleintly as the bridge cracked and fell apart.
"Run for your miserble lives!" Sparx wailed. Spyro ran and leaped over a chunk of falling rock. Spyro stumbled as the grublins threw spears to collapse the bridge. But the dragons made it across the bridge, except Cynder. She fell under the colappsing bridge and clung to the ledge. The grublins closed in on her. Spyro lunged toward the grublins and scared them off with fire breath. he bit into Cynders scruff and dragged her onto the cliff.
"Thanks SPyro. " Cynder panted.
"Lets just get out of here." Spyro said. The dragons took flight and rode the warm updraft. Cynder spotted a large group of wyverns.
"Our troubles aren't over yet." Cynder warned. the wyverns screeched a high pitched sound, disabling Cynders wings. She plummeted toward the ground, but quickly recovering. She rammed into the wyverns stomach and bretahed posion on it. It screeched and fell to the volcano. FLmae had hooked his claws into a wyverns back and bit into its head untill it went limp and rocketed toward earth. The dragons moved farther up, the clouds became more and more white. Cynder saw land up ahead as more enimies approched them. Then Cynder saw something that made her heart freeze. it was Malefor.
"Catch them Or better yet, kill them.!" Malefor roared.

Malefors minons charged as the volcano below erputed. The exploding lava singed Cynders tail as she flapped her wings rapidly to get away. the grublins cried as the lava burned their thin wings and quills. Cynder grabbed a grublin and wacked a wyvern over the head with it. Both fell into the raging volcano. Cynder coughed as the smoke rose. The friends soon rejoined to plan.
"Okay, I've looked around the islands and there are eight torches to light in order to get the gate open. Spyro,Flame and Ember, you can breathe fire, light all the torches you find, then meet us at the gate.It would be dbetter to stick together with us being under attack." Leafwind planned.
Before Spyro could fly off to find a torch, Flame blocked him off.
"If you lay one claw on Ember," Flame grolwed.
"WHat are you talking about?" Spyro said.
"Oh come on. I know she has a liking to you. But Ember is mine, you got that?" FLame snarled. Spyro sighed and flew past him as Ember called them to hurry up.
So that was why he was being so bossy? he wondered.

There was no suprise awating them at the gate. A squad of troops attacked the two dragons. Cynder used wind to knock them into eachtother. She garbed a grublin and tossed it around like a ragdoll, hitting the other enimies in the process. Leafwind used an earth bomb on one of them and chased two of them away. One of the trolls hit her on the shoulder. Cynders shoulder screamed with pain as she breathed fear on it. It ran around, screaming as if scared by an invisble force. Cynder punched it over the head and it dissolved into red dust. Two grulins surronded her and wacked her with thir small clubs. She bit into the wooden club and tried to take it away from him. Then she gave up and let go, the grublin falling onto the ground. Cynder pounced on it and kbit itno its spine, killing it. then a shadow blocked the skyt and two giant trolls and Malefor himslef suuronded Cynder.
"Well, well well, if it isn't my black puppet, crawling back." Malefor laughed cruelly.
"I'll never bow down to you again." Cynder growled and breathed shadow fire on him, but it had no effect.
Malefor roared with laughter.
"Perhaps you forgot. iam the dark master, your dark,unnaural elements that I gave you, cannot be used against me." Malefor growled. cynder knew she was doomed. She couldn't possibly beat Malefor by herslef along with two trolls, esscpically when her own elements had no effect on him! So she shadow fired the trolls and used a wind spell to make mist.
"Where are you!?" Malefor roared. Cynder flew upwards and freed herslef from the corner.
"I was just going to help you out." Leafwind chuckled.
"Well, Iam not your avrage damsel in distress." Cynder giggled. then Spyro,Flame and Ember landed as the gate opened.
"Quick! Before the wind spell wears off!" Cynder warned them and they ran through the short tunnel. But when they reached the other side a giant green gorilla and sevral trolls awaited them. Cynders wind spell worn off and the two gaint trolls and Malefor stormed after them.
"Fly! Into that wind tunnel!" Flame said, for once showing fear in front of the others. Only Malefor followed them into the wind tunnel away from Malefors lair, since his moinons did not have wings but were to heavy to fly anyways. malefor snapped at their heels and Cynder flapped her wings as fast as she could. the wind dragged her forward which made her roll backwards, then she bumped into Malefor and was focered to go foward again.The wind tunnel went downward, whistling in Cynders ear as she went uncontrobally fast. Soon Malefor stared to fall behind but with two wings beats he cuahgt up and breathed ice. Cynder doged two ice shards and swept SParx under her wing, saving him from a terrible skewered death.
We can't keep this up! Hes bigger and stronger! Cynder thought hopelessly. malefor lunged with his huge sliver claws and hit Flame in the wing. He plummted toward the ground.
"FLAME!" Ember shriked and dived down. she grabbed him and carried him on, while Flame groaned helplessly. then Flame freed himself fromnhis grasp, flying clumsily.
"Its not that bad, I'll be okay." He hissed through gritted teeth.
"This is hopeless! We need to fight back!" Spyro said, the wind to strong for Malefor to hear.
"Like how?" Flame moaned, his injuries not affecting his personaltiy.
"Fury." Spyro said. Cynder heart leaped. She never used fury in her enitre life! But at the keyword, Cynder closed her eyes and felt a fire growin her belly. It expanded and expanded untill the energy exploded and a posion fury hit Malefor, followed by Ember and Flames fire fury,S pyros convexity fury and Leafwinds earth fury. Even for Malefor, all five furys he could not recover at once. he roared as he plummted toward the ground, his wings torn and no longer usable for flight. cynder heaved a sigh of relif as Malefors screams were muted and no more of his minons came after them. the dragons flew out ogf the end of the tunnel and found a valley streched before them. Huge mountians towered below them and the roar of waterfalls and rivers could still be heard at their height. But most amzingly of all, everything was green. Cynder had forgotten what beeuaty and nature together was, or what green looked like.
"Wow," Cynder bretahed. The next moment the slince was broken.
We did it! We reached Green Valley!" Spyro cheered. the dragons slowly lowered and landed in the green valley. cynder could see a huge meadow with all sorts of flowers, the same one where they stood. A huge forest to the east and a lake fed by a waterfall was nearby.
They stood near a huge tree, the leaves rustling in the breeze. cynder could see a few huts and stores and indentified it as a dragon village.
"Its buetiful." Ember breathed.
"Well, lets go meet our new neighbours!" Leafwind said excitedly.
"And a doctor." Sparx said anxoiusly. Flames wounds bleed badly and his breathing was laboured.
As they got closer, Spyro saw dragon activity. then hos jaw dropped. It was Ignitus.

"Ignitus!" Spyro cried in joy. ignitus looked around and beamed one he saw Spyro. Spyro leaped toward him and Ignitus caught him in a hug. ignitus put him down.
"How did you get here?" Ignitus wondered.
"We met some freinds." SPyro explained as they gathered behind him.
"Ignitus, this is Ember, Flame , and Leafwind. Leafwind, Flame and Ember, this is Ignitus." Spyro said, pointing to his tail at each dragon.
"Nice to meet you." Ignitus grunted. then he spotted Flames wounds and frowned in concern.
"Ember,Leafwind, theres a doctor treating all injured by that crooked tree over there. Take your freind there." Ignitus commanded. Ember and Leafwind got on either oneside of Flame and giuded him to the crooked tree.
Ignitus turned back to Spyro, expecting the full story. Spyro Cynder and Sparx each took turns telling of their long journey. ignitus face darkned when they reached the part of the floating islands.
"Your lucky Malefor was defeated when he did. We can't afford of him knowing of our hiding place. His dark magic cannot reach us here, the moutains are too high for it to breach its perimeter. But that doesn't mean were safe forever. malefor will evantullay find us. We will have to face him once and for all,evantullay." Ignitus warned. His words chilled Spyro.
"But you are not ready for that. Not for a long time. you'll be ready by the time he discovers this place." Ignitus said on a brighter tone. He led them to the dragon village. It was smaller then Spyro expected. All the gaurdains managed to make it, plus and about 10 other adults and 6 dragons their own age, but that was it.
"Life may be peaceful here, but it is not easy. Our small population could grow even smaller soon." igntius said as he led them through downtown. he stopped at two huts.
"Spyro,Leafwind,Sparx and Flame will share this one, and Cynder,Ember and a few other females will share the other one." Ignitus said. Spyro went into the right cabin,followed by Sparx. there was a purple bed warmed by a window. gems decorated the room. Spyro could tell this was his room. Sparx had a tiny attic filled with flowers and even a small hot tub. The bed was circular with flwoer petals as the blanket.
"This is awsome!" Sparx said happily as he checked out his room. Leafwinds room was full of all kinds of plants and vines, fed by the sunlight of three large windows. The bed and pillow was weaved with leaves and bamboo. Flames room was very hot, escpically the bed. Two ava lamps lighted up the dark room with red,orange,yellow and pink light. Spyro yawned and retreated back to his own room. He cloppased on th bed and went to sleep.

Cynder walked with Ember into the meadow. Two weeks had passed since they arrived in Green Valley. Flames wounds had healed compeltely and he was well enough to attend the first day of school. Cynder had stayed with Flame the entire time, she had taken quite the intrest in healing.
"You should see it, the herb was at least six feet tall! And it was red!"
Cynder exclaimed.
"Really?" Ember said, pretending to be intrested. Cynder realized she was porbaly bored, so she stayed quiet.
Soon they got to the school grounds. the school was actullay outside. There was a obstacle course for flying and a sandy patch for fighting practice. There was a building for other activites inside, but mostly school was outside. Flame,Spyro and Leafwind wrestled on sunny patch of grass near a flat boulder.
Spyro knocked Leafwind over,sending him crashing into Cynder.
"Hey!" Cynder sneered and cuffed him playfully. Leafwind twisted away.
"Your'e going to have to do better than that!" Leafwind hissed. Cynder pounced on him and pinned his paws to the ground. he struggled under her weight.
"I give up! I give up!" he wailed.
"Ha! Not so tough as you-" Before Cynder could finsh Leafwind knocked her off and sended her rolling down the slope. He crashed into her gebtly and pinned her down by the neck.
"Ha,ha!" Leafwind gloated. Cynder grolwed in annoynace. Then the gong rung. It was time for school
