who couldn't hear wat the hell malefore was saying all i heard was deep mumbling then i pressed start to put up subtitles but all it gave me was 'do u want to skip the cutscene?' but i didn't want to skip the cutscene i want subtitles for the cutscene. well i donno might of just been me...

Mark Hamil is just too old to be voice acting anymore, I think. He probably couldn't make himselfsound evil enough on his own so they had to edid the voice and they overdid it.

Wow thats cold. You know that they have special voice things that help the person make their character sound a little more like a character.

Look up an up-coming game called "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and then tell me Mark Hamil is too old to voice act. He's the voice of this one guy, you might have heard of him, the Joker...

Spyromaster, it's not just you. They processed Mark's voice to crap and it's one of the bajillion problems I have with DotD. If you watch the voice actor interview for DotD, they have a clip of Mark in the studio reading his lines and he sounds great by himself.

I had to turn the subtitles on to understand what Malefor was saying. So much fail, Activision... >(

The voice direction was done by Chris Wilson and Mike Graham, Razz. They must have a reason to have Malefor's voice sound distorted.

Malefor was evil, and he was dead for a long time before being finally resurrected at the end of TEN. And evil can do all sorts of things to you, like change the sound of your voice and your physical appearance.

The reason Chris made Malefor's voice ridiculously deep is because generic bad guys have deep voices and it doesn't get any more generic than Malefor.

I don't know, Mark must be getting on in his years. It's been years since he last voiced the Joker; he probably sounds way different.

Edit: Yep, Way different! The old Joker had a higher, shrill voice. Why couldn't they leave that as Malefor's voice? It sound alright and actually coherent!

You're really confusing. Okay, Mark Hamil voiced Malefor, then Chris Wilson and everyone else ran his voice through a bunch of audio effects programs and made it deep.

Malefor's voice is not something any human could make. It was mangled using technology. Mark Hamil himself is still the incredible voice talent he's always been.
