This is my first fanfic on here, pics of my dragons coming later.

Plot: too long to type, you'd be sitting here all day.

Character Guide:

Spyro: after defeating Malefor, he and Cynder joined the ancestors to train. did another time fury to keep malefor's lair from collasping on them.
Cynder: after helping spyro defeat malefor, she went with Spyro to join the ancestors.

Sparx: how can u forget him?
Nina: Sparx's mum, Spyro's adopted mum.
Flash: Sparx's dad, Spyro's adopted dad.

Iluka: Spyro's mentor.
Selukai: Cynder's mentor.

Ignitus: the fire guardian,.

Volts: electric guardian to be, Volteer's son. is 15.

Glacier: daughter of Cyril, ice guardian to be. 15 years old.

Vine: Terrador's second mate. has a daughter called Terra.
Terra: daughter of terrador, was corrupted at the age of 6, but it failed. left her with the gift of prophecy. age: 15.

Ashes: Cynder's mother, is a fear dragon. first mate of Terrador.

Oceania: water dragoness, sister to Whirlpool, orphaned.
Whirlpool: brother of Oceania, water dragon. orphaned.

Ignite: Ignitus's mate, mother of Firestorm and Firelight.
Firestorm: daughter of Ignitus, fire guardian to be.
Firelight: son of Ignitus, next in line to be Fire guardian.

Jay(Jaquelyn): daughter of Chief Prowlus, typical nineteen year old rebel teenager. loves fighting and weapons. best friends with Spyro, Cynder and Thrictum.

Thrictum: a dragon snake, a venomous python bit his newly laid egg. lives in avalar.

Viola: mother of Malefor, great grandmother to Fate. first purple dragon.
Fate: grand daughter to Malefor, 3rd purple dragon.

Flame: from the future, brother to Ember.
Ember: from the future, sister to Flame.

Prologue

'RUN!!!' screamed Ember as wave upon wave of gnorcs charged through the mighty gates of Warfang, the dragon city, 'there's too many! We can't fight them!!!'
'FIRESTORM! FIRELIGHT! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!" Ignite screamed out over the din of the clashing armor and the sound of the residents screams as they bolted toward the Great Hall.
'MUM!!! STOP WORRYING ABOUT US!!!! AS MUCH AS I HATE MY LITTLE BROTHER I WON'T LET HIM DIE!!!' Firestorm yelled back as she battled to reach her mother through the panicking crowd. Firelight clung to her back tightly, eyes closed, relying on his sister to get him to safety.
Firestorm was exhausted.
I never knew my brother weighed so much, she thought as she battled the raging crowd that was blocking the way to her mother, I better tell him to work out more often.
She had almost reached her mother when Red, the rebel elder dragon leaped out in front of her.
'Well well, now where would you be going?' he said.
Firestorm tried to mask her fear.
'AWAY FROM YOU!!!"
Without a thought for her own safety she leaped through the nearest portal and fainted, Firelight tumbling from her back.

Ignite saw her beloved daughter and son cornered by Red. She also saw Firestorm jump through the forbidden portal, where none had returned from.
'FIRELIGHT! FIRESTORM!'
Leaping through the terrified crowd she jumped right over Red into the portal, after her children.
Ember saw this, and thinking it led to a safe world where they could rest motioned for all the dragons to follow her. One by one Warfang's defendants jumped through the portal, leaving the dragon city unguarded.........

Wow! This is really good! MORES!

I'll have to do it tomorrow. I wrote that off the top of my head and now its feels as if my brains wrung dry.

The bright sunlight forced Flame to open his eyes. But it wasn't the sunlight that made him jump.
'AAAAH!!!' he screamed, leaping up and backing away from the large red dragon that stood in front of him.
His cry awoke all the others. Groaning they all tottered to their feet, unsteady and woozy. All gave a cry of fear as they beheld the sight before them.
Four large adult dragons stood before them, one red, one yellow, one green and one blue. a small yellow dragonfly hovered next to them.
The yellow one seemed rather talkative, and was arguing with the blue one next to him.
'By the ancestors! I had never ever never thought that I would live to see any other dragon except ourselves!'
'Oh shut up Volteer!' the blue one said, 'your electric tongue never stops wagging does it?!!'
'But Cyril! More dragons! Adult dragons! Dragons! young, old, very young.....'
The two then progressed deeper into their argument. Flame turned his attention to the green one. He appeared rather overcome and wary at the same time and was constantly switching from Vine, to Ashes. Vine looked overexcited to see the dragon, while Ashes just stared openmouthed.
The large red on the other hand was staring at Ignite with an unreadable expression. He turned and walked over to the green one and they had a hushed conversation. Finally the red one turned and looked towards the group.
'My name is Ignitus, I am the fire guardian. This is Terrador, Cyril and Volteer,' he said, motioning to each of the dragons in turn, 'would you kindly follow us.
Flame was dumbstruck.
But thats impossible!, he thought, those legendary dragons lived years ago! During the time of the purple dragon of the prophecies! They should be dead by now!
He watched as Ignitus told the dragonfly to do something, and saw the dragonfly nod and zoom off in the direction of the city. It was only then that Flame noticed his surroundings.
They were in the middle of a large plain, in the distance, to his left he could just make out the massive shape of a dam. To his right was the city of Warfang.
He noticed that a large number of small figures were pushing blocks into place and carving on the ramparts.
But, But...thats impossible!!!! Warfang needs no repairing!
A slight push from behind startled him. Looking behind he saw Viola nudging him.
'Flame, follow them.'
'But we don't even know them! Their strangers to us! They could kill us...or....or...'
Viola looked him square in the eye and Flame saw the understanding in her eyes.
'They are the only chance we've got,' she said then walked off after the others.
Flame sighed, then followed.
As much as I am wary of them, he thought, Viola's right. They are the only chance we've got.

Terra groaned.
Mum can be really loud sometimes,she thought irritably.
'TERRA!!! COME HERE!!!'
'WHAT?!!! MUM, LET ME SLEEP PLEASE!'
Vine's voice got lower as she entered the small building that Terra had been assigned.
'Please honey.....its important....'
Terra rolled over on her side and regarded Vine with one eye.
'What is more important than letting your daughter have some rest?'
Vine looked at her and gave a half smile.
'Letting my daughter meet her father.......'

'Firestorm! Hey! Firestormmmmmm.....FIRESTORM!!!'
'AAH!' Firestorm yelled as she jumped up from the peaceful slumber she'd been having.
'There you are!!! Took you long enough to get up. '
'Wel well well, if it isn't the little brat who needs to work out,' she said with a sneer, 'what do you want?'
Firelight was unaffected by her bad mood.
'Mum told me to come and wake you up so that that she can talk to us and then we can all go on a tour of this place and and.......'
'And?'
'And then she said we can go exploring on a treasure hunt! I want you on my team! Please be on my team?! Please!'
Firelight growled.
Little brothers are such a pain in the bum........I'll ask Mum if thats true.
'YOU TWO!!! HURRY UP!!!!!'
Firestorm rolled her eyes.
'Coming......'

Volts stood there. Staring at the door. Waiting for someone from his old time to just come and take him home.........
Please come.....please........come and take me home.......
Then the door started to slide open. Volts felt hope flare into his heart.
But that hope was quickly put out when he saw the talkative dragon from yesterday enter.
'You're Volteer aren't you?'
The dragon gave a small smile and nodded.
'Yes, I am. And it is such a surprise to see you! Why I never thought....ever...that I would see you...'
'What do you mean?!! What do you want?!!'
Volteer looked at him kindly as Volts backed into the corner.
'You're acting just like your mother you know....'
Volts felt his blood run cold.
'How do you know about my mother? HOW?!!'
'Because.........because.......I am your father.'

Glacier growled.
I had to follow my friends into a portal that I knew nothing about.....then I wind up here! A place no one knows about! WHY ME!!!
A knock at the door startled her.
'Come in, 'she growled.
Whirlpool tentatively entered.
'Ummmm hi Glace......'
Glacier stopped pacing the room and looked him in the eye.
'What do you want?'
Whirlpool gulped.
'Ashes sent me to tell you that we are going on a tour of this place and ummmmm that there is gonna be a treasure hunt and.......'
'And what?' she said, swishing her tail across the room violently.
'That you have to come with with me....'
'Fine. Anything else?'
Whirlpool nodded.
'Then what is it?'
'That big ice dragon from before.........he wants to talk to you...'
Glacier snarled.
'I AM IN A BAD ENOUGH MOOD ALREADY AND THEN YOU COME AND TELL ME WE HAVE TO DO LITTLE KIDS GAMES!!!'
'But.........'
'BUT WHAT?!!!'
'He's your father and......'
Glacier felt her anger evaporate instantly.
'Wha...what?'
'And he wants to explain what happ.....happened,' Whirlpool stuttered.
But....but.......he can't be......., Glacier thought, suddenly feeling faint, He can't be....

Volts stared in shock.
My father.......
'NO!! YOU CAN'T BE!!! I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!!!'
Volteer sighed.
'I expected this to happen. Listen, I know its a shock. But its true! Every word....which judging by how much I talk thats quite alot.......'
Volts snarled.
'YOU HAVE TO PROVE IT!!!'
'Fine....fine...I'll tell you the story....when you calm down from your anger and sit down....'

As Firestorm followed her brother out of her room she spied her mother looking at the large red dragon from yesterday.
'Isn't that dragon's name Ignitus?'
Ignite jumped.
'Oh hello honey..............ummm yes, it is......can you follow your brother? Ashes is running the tour along with the resident moles here. oh and try to be on your brother's team will you?'
'What are you hiding? I've only ever seen you like this when you're hiding something,' Firestorm asked, 'has it got to do with that dragon?'
Ignite turned her head towards her daughter.
'Honey, just do as I ask, please. I'm.....I'm just under a lot of strain lately.'
Firestorm was shocked.
But Mum tells me everything!!! Somethings going on....
'Fine,' she said shortly, 'but I'll be asking you later.'

Ignite was annoyed. Ignitus had been ignoring her since they got here.
This isn't how I imagined our reunion, she thought, there is so much I want to ask him!
Finally mustering the courage she slipped from behind the wall and headed over to Ignitus.
'Ignitus?'
Ignitus looked up from the visions pool in the center of the courtyard.
Upon seeing who it was, he sighed and gave her his full attention.
'Yes Ignite?'
Ignite looked closer and saw the rings around his eyes.
He must have not been sleeping well lately....
'I.....wanted to ask...what happened since we left and.....'
Ignitus looked at her.
'Ignite, the other guardians and I were planning on telling you tonight. It is the festival night for......'
At this moment his eyes clouded over with remorse and pain.
'For?' Ignite urged gently.
'It doesn't matter,' Ignitus said, 'is there anything else that can't wait till tonight?'
'Ummmm yes.....'
Getting to his feet Ignitus looked at her questioningly.
'Well?'
'What happened to......to....,' the words were painful for Ignite to form,' our first egg?'
The same pain as before again clouded Ignitus's eyes and he began to walk away.
'Please....at least tell me if it was a boy....and if it survived hatching....'
Ignitus looked back at her standing there.
'It was........was......a boy.'
Ignite felt joy surge through her body.
'Did he survive hatching?'
'Yes............but I'm not sure if he survived this time around.'
With those confusing words Ignitus walked off, leaving his very confused and excited mate behind.

'

I'm on a roll today!!!

Terra opened her other eye and stared at her mother for a second.
'My father?'
Vine looked at her like she had expected a reaction different to the one she had given.
'Yes honey, your father.'
Terra rolled onto her feet and stood up.
'You told me that my father left you.'
'Well.....,' Vine said, 'I left him.'
Terra looked confused.
Huh? Mum said he left her.....
'What do you mean?'
Vine sighed.
'He and I will explain everything, if you'll follow me.'
With that Vine began to walk away, half expecting not to hear Terra following.
She needs to know what happened....why I left......Vine thought.

Vine led Terra to a small corner of the great hall to where one of the dragons from yesterday was standing.
Terra stared, then looked up at her mother for support.
'Terrador, this is Terra.....your daughter.'
Terrador looked shocked.
Mum mustn't have told him......
'Ummmm....hi...,' Terra said weakly.
'I told her we would explain everything,' Vine said with a smile.
Terrador was about to answer when Ashes slammed into him.
'Oh Terrador!!! I've missed you.....my mate......'
Terra felt a surge of fear.
Oh no....she thought with panic rising fast inside her, Mum please don't do anything......
'YOUR MATE!!!!' Vine yelled so loud she got the attention of everyone in the room,' HE'S NOT YOUR MATE ASHES!!!'
Ashes, with her lip pulled back into a snarl got off Terrador and roared. Her roar made everyone in the hall look deeply frightened.
Terra turned around and heard mumblings among the throng.
'Thats her roar!!!'
'The terror of the skies is here!!!'
Panic spread through the crowd like a bad case of disease.
'FOR YOUR INFORMATION VINE!!' yelled Ashes, with equal hatred in her voice,'WE HAD TWO EGGS TOGETHER!!!! SO THAT MAKES HIM MY MATE!!!'
then the biggest fight in history broke out. Ashes leaped on Vine and the two began tumbling about on the floor.
Terrador looked shocked and in the flurry of movement going on his pushed Terra out of the hall and into the street with gentle urgency.
Once out there, he stood panting, still with that shocked look on his face.
'So you're my father?!!'
Terrador didn't reply in the way she wanted him to.
'You should go with Firestorm and the others to the tour. With.......,' the words were forced out, 'Ashes and Vine fighting, us guardians might have to run it.'
Terra opened her mouth to protest, but too late. Terrador was already striding through the crowd.
'Hey! Terra!'
Firestorm's cry got her attention. Whipping her head around she looked at her.
'Ye...yeah?' she asked with a shaky tone of voice.
'You okay? You sound strange. Anyway.....do you want to be on my team for that treasure hunt thingy if we have to do it? I don't want to be with my bratty little brother.'
Terra was silent.
'Something wrong?'Firestorm asked.
Terra sighed.
If only you knew.....

Ignitus walked into his private chambers at Warfang.
Why does Ignite always open wounds, he thought, sometimes thats all she's good for.
Walking over to the side of the room he reached out and pulled a book from the shelves. He stared at the picture inside.
Oh young dragon, where are you?

Cynder woke up panting like she'd been running for hours non-stop. Blinking, she adjusted her eyes to the bright sunlight.
Where am I? she thought.
Then, like waves on a beach, memories upon memories came flowing into her head.
Oh, it was that nightmare again. No Malefor here to bother me now.
The thought made her smile. Spyro's even breathing resonated around the small cave as he slept.
Turning to look at him she smiled. But her smile faded as she saw the black that was creeping up his tail. Darting over to his side she began to nudge him and breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the black disappear as he woke up.
'Wha......leave me to sleep......'
'Spyro,' she whispered urgently, 'it was happening again.'
This woke Spyro up.
'Huh? Really?'
Cynder nodded.
Spyro closed his eyes for a second then slowly got up.
'Where?'
'Your tail.'
As Spyro looked at his tail, Cynder sighed. The darkness hadn't gotten past his tail yet, but every night it slowly crept up.
'You know there's no point, right? Its faded again.'
Spyro looked at her.
'Yes. I know that.'
Shaking himself he shook himself.
'Well seeing as you've got me up I might as well have breakfast.'
As Spyro wandered off to his mushroom supply Cynder smiled.
Spyro's been getting cocky after Malefor, wonder if he was like this before he learned his destiny?
Following him, Cynder leaned against the cold, rock wall of their cave. She closed her eyes for a second, trying to remember her dream. It had been so vivid.
It's like trying to catch water as it flows through your paws, she thought.
A splash startled her and she jerked open her eyes. A large snake-like figure emerged from the waterfall that covered the entrance to their cave.
'Hey Thrict..........'
She never finished her sentence as she collasped onto the ground, unconscious.

Ignitus gasped, and leaped back from the book he had been reading.
They're alive! They're alive!

'Cynder?'
'Wha.......what happened.....'
Cynder opened her eyes to see a very worried Spyro standing over her.
'Are you okay?'
'I think so........ what happened?'
Spyro looked at her strangely.
'You collasped, and at one point mumbled something that sounded like 'my friend'.'
'Huh?'
'Don't ask us, you were the one who said it.'
Cynder stood up shakily and leaned against the wall for support. She was dimly aware of a large smooth scaled body helping her over to the moss in front the the fire in their cave.
'Thanks Thrict....'
She blinked at the large dragon-snake in front of her.
'No problem.'
Thrictum was a dragon snake, the first of his kind. A venomous python had bitten his newly laid egg as his mother slept after hours of hard labor. As a result he had a large snake body, a black underbelly, black, curved horns and large green and black wings. Black diamond shaped markings ran all the way down to his tail. His body was a venom green and he had trouble pronouncing his 's'.
'Do you need any herbs Cyn?'
Cynder looked in Jay's direction.
'No. I'll be fine thanks. All the gang's here then?'
'You betcha,' said Spyro, 'Thrict went and got Jay as soon as you fell.'
Jay smiled at Cynder. In that one look Cynder knew that she'd given up a fighting lesson, probably with Hunter, to come and be with her.
'You didn't need to do that Jay.'
'Eh, no probs. Hunter won't mind, Mum will go ape as usual because I am not practicing being a lady,' her tone became rather amused, ' and Dad will be too busy with affairs of leadership to bother reprimanding me.'
Jay's father was Chief Prowlus and her mother Sadjah, a leopard from a near-by clan. Sadjah was obsessed with being a proper lady, while Chief Prowlus was too busy trying to find out who was stealing their stock to worry about what his 19 year old, rebel teenage daughter got up to.
'Sssso,' Thrict said, 'wanna go steal more stuff?'
'You betcha!' Jay replied.
'You two can go,' Spyro said, 'I'll stay here with Cynder.'
Cynder smiled at him.
He always seems to sense when I need him, or when I'm sick.
Jay made a face.
'Oh fine, do you want us to steal anything for you?'
Spyro looked thoughtful.
'Mushrooms.'
Thrictum laughed.
'Fine, we'll get you sssome musshrooms,' he said, flicking in tongue in and out, ' come on Jay!'
'Catch ya later!'
The two of them bounded out of the cave like overexcited puppies. Spyro laughed, then settled down on the moss next to Cynder.
'So, are you gonna tell me about your dream?'
'Mindreader!'
Spyro smiled at her in a teasing sort of way.
'Come on.'

The tour had finished and the festivites were well under way in the great hall by the time Ignitus entered.
'Ignitus?!!' Cyril yelled, 'where have you been? We were discussing......'
He stopped short as Ignitus looked at him with barely concealed excitement in his eyes.
'In know what you were talking about, and there is no point,' Ignitus informed them, 'for Spyro and Cynder are very much alive.'
The shock that was on the other guardians faces was beyond belief. The entire room went into chaos. All except the new comers started cheering and yelling at the top of their voices.
'But,' Ignitus raised his voice so all could hear him, 'I am going to go get them, with their new friends and bring them here.'
All the guardians nodded in approval.
'Who are Spyro and Cynder?' Viola asked.
'Are they important?' Oceania called out.
'Quiet please! Terrador, Cyril, Volteer, could you please explain while I go fetch them?'
'You're not going without me.'
All the dragons looked to the small dragonfly who had zoomed into the room.
'If my buddy's there, I'm going too.'
Ignitus smiled.
'Young dragonfly, I wouldn't dream of going without you. Come on.'
'Where are they?' Cyril asked.
'Avalar I think. They are friends with a dragon snake and cheetah.'
'How do you know all this?'
Ignitus ignored the question and continued walking.
'Don't bother asking! He's been like that since they disappeared. Now do you want to know who Spyro and Cynder are?'

'It was Selukai.'
Spyro froze.
'What did she say?'
Cynder closed her eyes to think.
'That a old friend was coming to see us.'
Spyro snorted.
'Ironic.'
'Whats ironic?'
Iluka sent me a dream saying the same thing, but mine had Sparx mentioned in it.'
'Did he say when they would be here?'
'No. Did Selukai?'
'She said very soon.'
Spyro stood up and grinned.
'We had better start packing then! We can tell Thrict and Jay when they get back to pack.'
'Wait,' Cynder said, ' are they coming with us?'
'Course! Friends don't leave each other!'
His eyes clouded over with remorse and Cynder knew that he was remembering the time he had to leave Sparx behind.
'Unless they have to.'
She finished his sentence for him. Spyro nodded.
'Well come on! We need to pack!'
Cynder smiled as she got to her feet.
You bet we do.

It was near dawn by the time Ignitus and Sparx made it to Avalar.
'So, where exactly did you see Spyro and Cynder big guy?'
'I do not know exactly, but I do that they were in a cave and that the cave entrance was covered by a waterfall,' Ignitus replied, 'you've been here before, know of a place?'
Sparx looked thoughtful.
'Was the cave small or big?'
'Smallish.'
'Ummmmmm, did it have a tunnel?'
'No.'
'Then I have no idea. Why don't we ask the cheetah man?'
Ignitus sighed.
'Very well. But I don't think any of the villagers will be up at this time of the morning.'
They had only travelled to where the rivers met when they heard something that filled their hearts with joy.
'Ignitus? Sparx?'
The two of them whipped around to see Spyro staring at them on the other side of the river.
'Young dragon.........., Ignitus whispered, 'where have you been?'
Spyro didn't answer at first, just hopped over to their side of the river with a happy expression on his face.
'Here. Did you come to get us?' Spyro said, giving a wry smile.
Sparx nodded.
'We sure did brother! We came to take you back to Warfang so that you can be terrorised by fans,' he grinned, 'its good to see you buddy.'
Spyro grinned back at him.
'You never leave my side again, right?'
Sparx acted solemn.
'I solemnly swear that I will never leave your side again,' he paused, 'except if it endangers my life.'
Ignitus looked at the sun and noted where it was in the sky, at the same time noting that it was a bit brighter than usual.
'We had best get moving, there is a delegation of dragonflies from the swamp near the temple arriving to seal a pact and business deal,' he turned to Spyro, 'are you and Cynder packed?'
'You bet we are. I'll go get her, Thrict and Jay now. Wait here.'
Spyro leaped off the rock he had been standing on and bounded off towards a small waterfall. He returned minutes later leading Cynder and two figures neither Sparx nor Ignitus knew.
Sparx stared at Cynder.
Shes grown....now she resembles what she was like when she was evil.....uggh.......but I owe her a thanks...she kept my brother safe.
'Hello Cynder,' Ignitus said warmly, 'you've grown.'
Cynder gave a shy smile.
'That parts good and bad. Hi Sparx.'
'Uhhhhh....hi Cynder............'
'Did you want to say something?' she asked.
Sparx took a deep breath.
'Thankyoufortakingcareofmybrotherandkeepinghimsafe,' he said.
Cynder smiled.
'Even though I have no idea what you just said, I won't make you say it again.'
She turned towards Spyro and nodded. Spyro nodded back and nudged the other two that were with them forward.
'This is Jay,' Cynder said, motioning to the cheetah, 'shes the daughter of Chief Prowlus and our best friend. Also a member of our gang.'
She grinned mischievously.
'And this is Thrictum,' Spyro said, stepping forward, 'he's our best friend and is a dragon snake. We'll explain everything later.'
Ignitus nodded to them in turn. Sparx looked plain miffed.
'You made new friends and a gang without me?!! I don't believe you Spyro!'
'Oh let me guess, you are Sparx, the annoying gnat,' Jay said.
Sparx nodded.
'We figured, didn't we Thrict?'

Ignitus sighed.
'We should get moving now. Are you ready?'
The four rolled their eyes.
'If we wait until we are all ready, we'll be waiting till doomsday. Lets just go,' Spyro said, walking off to the secret passage to Warfang. The others followed.
How is it that you see me as I really am young dragon? thought Ignitus as he followed.

As they walked, Ignitus couldn't help but notice that Spyro and Cynder seemed different.
Is their something on their backs? he thought, increasing his pace to catch up.
What he saw next made him gasp.
The ancient dragon runes of the ancestors started underneath Spyro's horns and ran all the way down to his tail, on either side of his crest. He saw the same thing on Cynder's back.the only difference was Spyro's glowed gold, and Cynder's glowed silver.
What is that? he wondered.
As Spyro turned the corner to head to the passage Ignitus saw him wink at him.
We'll explain everything later, we promise.
Spyro's voice resonated through Ignitus's head as he started the long trek back to Warfang.

This is a good story I like it. Cool how you ended the chapter with a cliffhanger

'And that is who Spyro and Cynder are,' Volteer said, concluding his mini speech.
'Wow. They are important!' Oceania exclaimed.
Cyril nodded.
'They are also the oldest dragons around your age, so don't expect them to hang around with you. Dragons tend to hang out with their own age.'
'Yes and they are extremely fast learners so don't-'
Volteer was cut off by the sound of a major argument coming from outside the hall.
'You like Cynder, you like Cynder!'
'Shut up.'
'You love Cynder!'
'I said shut up Sparx. You can't talk anyway.'
'Oh My God! You just admitted it! You love her!'
'Well I wasn't the one who kissed Marissa when she came over. You looked like you were having fun then.'
'How do you know about that?'
They heard a snigger.
'I saw you.'
'YOU WHAT?!!!'
'Yep I sure did see you.'
'You never tell, you hear me brother, YOU NEVER TELL!!!'
'Isn't that Sparx?' Terrador asked.
'Well I can certainly assure that whoever it is out there has Sparx's personality and his rudeness and...'
'Shut up Volteer,' Cyril grumbled, 'its Sparx.'
'Which means that Ignitus is back with those two dragons!' Ignite exclaimed, 'oh I can't wait to see what he looks like!'
'What do you mean Mum?' asked Firestorm.
'Oh nothing honey......'
'You mean something.'
'CAN YOU TWO JUST STOP ARGUING!!!! PLEASE!!!!'
A loud female voice thundered outside.
'He started it Jay. Not me.'
'I DON'T CARE WHO STARTED IT!!! YOU'RE HURTING THRICT'S HEARING!!!'
'Yeah Sparx, you heard Jay.'
'Oh shut up.'
'Lets resume this argument later?'
'Yes,' Sparx said, 'lets do that. BIG GUY!!!!'
'SSSSSSHUT UP!!! YOU'RE HURTING MY EARSSSSS!!'
'Sparx.'
'Oh look, will you two just stop arguing? Save it for later will you?'
'Young dragonfly, can you stop arguing? I think all our tempers are frayed here.'
'Now that's Ignitus, as usual he's acting the meditator,' Terrador said.
The doors started to open and Ignitus entered.
'Ignitus! Did you find them?'
Ignitus nodded.
'I did, and know Sparx and Spyro are arguing very badly.'
'What about?'
'Whether Spyro has feeling for Cynder.'
'Oh. And does he?'
'I have no idea,' Ignitus said, leaning against the wall, 'but all I know is that its a very big argument. Should I bring them in?'
'Yes,' Ignite said eagerly, 'please do Ignitus.'
'Very well.'
Ignitus went outside and they heard mumbling. The doors opened again and Ignitus entered leading a very disgruntled male purple dragon in. Everyone in the room caught their breath. He was about the size of the guardians when they were still at the temple. Catching the looks on their faces, the dragon scowled and tried to storm off.
'No young dragon, you wait in here,' Ignitus said, blocking his way.
He scowled again and stormed off to the corner of the room.
Ignitus sighed.
'Cynder!' he called out, 'its your turn to come in!!'
There was the sound of hissing and Sparx zoomed in, narrowly avoiding being caught by a very irate black dragoness.
'You can't get me Cynder! I am the mighty Sparx, ruler of the llama people...'
'King of the losers, an annoying and pesky gnat,' Cynder called back as she stamped over to where Spyro was. A large green snake then slithered in and went over to join them in the corner. Jay was holding onto his horns.
'This is Spyro, Cynder, Thrictum and Jay,' Ignitus informed the new comers.
Spyro growled.
'Is there any chance of getting a room here so that we can have a rest? We're exhausted.'
'Seconded,' Cynder called out.
'Tripled,' Jay said, yawning.
'Quadrupled,' Thrict said.
My son! Ignite thought, My first born son!

'No!' Ignite called out shrilly, 'not until you know the truth and get a name worthy of a dragon!'
Spyro looked at her.
'Who are you talking to?'
'You........you're.......you're...'
Spyro sniggered and looked at her.
'I'm?'
'Your......my son....'
'Yeah right. I realllly believe you.......'
Ignite was desperate now.
'But its true! Ignitus had to look after your egg because I had to leave and.....'
'Look lady,' Sparx cut in, 'he is not your son. He is my brother and he has the hots for Cynder.'
'Sparx....'
'Yes?'
'SHUT UP!!! Sorry Thrict.'
'Well I'm only telling the truth.'
'Ignitus?'
'Yes young dragon?'
'Is there any chance at all of getting some rest?'
'Not for us,' Ignitus said, 'but for you, yes.'
'Great!! Can you give us a map to where we are supposed to be staying?'
'But....,' Ignite said.
'But what?' Spyro asked.
I need to keep him near by!!! I need to get to know him!!
'What if you had some food? That would get rid of your tiredness!.'
She crossed over to the food in the room and got a big slab of meat and placed it in front of Spyro.
'Here,' she said, 'eat and recover your strength.'
It has to work, it has to work.... she thought.
Spyro looked like he was going to be sick.
'Me?' he said incredulously, 'eat meat? UGGH!! I HATE MEAT!!!'
Everyone in the room stared at him.
'But dragons are carnivores Spyro, they eat meat to survive!' Terrador said.
'Well not this dragon! I grew up with dragonflies, they eat mushrooms, WHAT DO YOU THINK I LIKE TO EAT!!!'
Ignite looked at Ignitus, he shifted uneasily.
'Mushrooms....,' Ignite said.
'Yes, I like to eat mushrooms. Thrict, you can have this meat.'
'Thanksssss buddy!'
As Thrict dived onto the meat, Spyro stood up and rummaged around in a small bag he was carrying. He got out a mushroom and began to walk away. Cynder followed suit.
'Wait....where are you going?'
Spyro looked at Ignite with scorn.
'Where do you think?'
He and Cynder stormed out of the hall.
'I'm sorry about him,' Ignitus said, 'nerves are running tight, thanks to Sparx.'
Sparx looked at Ignitus nervously.
'Yeah....maybe I did the wrong thing by teasing him.... at this point in time.'
Sparx zoomed after them.

Later that night, Ignite was looking for Ignitus.
He has a lot of questions to answer. she thought.
Spotting him she quickly moved to intercept him as he tried to walk to Spyro's quarters.
'What happened to make you give up his egg! WHAT!! YOU SWORE TO ME THAT YOU WOULD TAKE CARE OF HIM!!!!'
Ignitus sighed.
'I don't have to tell you right now.'
'OH YES YOU DO!!!!' Ignite yelled, blocking his way, 'WHY DID YOU GIVE HIS EGG UP!!!'
Ignitus gave a growl.
'IF YOU MUST KNOW THE DARK ARMIES ATTACKED, IT WAS THE ONLY THING I COULD DO!!!'
Fuming Ignitus brushed past her, into his room.
Then you should have stayed with him, Ignite thought angrily as she stomped over to her room.

uh oh...looks like Ignitus is mad

only because Ignite made him feel guilty and he didn't want to remember that he had to that.

'Spyro! SPYRO!!!' Sparx yelled, 'WAKE UP BUDDY! WE GOTTA GET MOVING!!!'
'Huh? Wha.....?'
'Listen sleepy head, we got trouble so you need to get your purple backside off your bed and help me out here!'
Spyro groaned and opened one eye.
'What do you want Sparx?'
Sparx was close to freaking out.
'MUM AND DAD ARE HERE!!!'
This got Spyro up.
'WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!'
'MUM AND DAD ARE HERE!!!'
'IT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!!!'
'Oh, we still need to get moving!!! NOW!!!'
The two of them bolted out of the room and raced down to the town hall where the dragonfly delegation had just arrived. Skidding to a stop, they stood in the doorway, looking for their parents.
'Well there's Taulm, his parents, Marissa....'
'Your girlfriend.'
'Shut up. And there's MUM AND DAD!!!!!'
'SPARX!!! SPYRO!!!!!'
Flash and Nina catapulted out of the midst of dragonflies and zoomed over to them. Then they proceeded to hug the two to death.
'Oh where have you been.....our boys.......,' Nina said sobbing for breath as she hugged Sparx.
Spyro grinned.
'Earning myself a reputation.'
Their reunion was ruined when a cough of a throat got their attention.
'Excuse me, Flash, Nina, but we are in the midst of a business deal here. We cannot have you rushing off!'
Spyro growled.
'Our parents can be with us if they want, Taulm.'
Ignite, who was in the room gasped.
'But.....they aren't your parents! I'm your mother and......'
She couldn't finish her sentence. Leaping from her seat she grabbed Spyro and pulled him into a hug.
'SEXUAL HARASSMENT!!' Spyro yelled before knocking her into the air with his horns and bolting out of the hall with Sparx following.
This got Nina mad.
'No one hugs my son like that except ME!!' she yelled and flew up into the air before slapping Ignite.
'NINA!!!' Flash yelled and zoomed up and caught his struggling wife, 'lets just go find our boys,'
The two of them flew out in search of Spyro and Sparx.

Later that day, Ignite was sobbing in her room, listening to Flash and Nina's conversation with Spyro and Sparx.
Why doesn't he believe me, she thought, why?
She heard the door open and watched as Ignitus entered her room. Settling down besides her he put his wing over her.
'Ignitus, why doesn't he believe me?'
Ignitus was silent for a second.
'Because he doesn't know.'
'But what happened to make you put his egg out into the swamp?'
Ignitus sighed.
'I was looking at his egg, when the armies attacked. I couldn't let him die so I grabbed his egg and flew out to the swamp. I put it in a mushroom cap and pushed it down the river. I met Spyro 12 years later, when he came looking for his home.'
Ignite sobbed.
'So you...didn't....even get to see......our son hatch...?'
'No Ignite, I did not see him hatch,' Ignitus replied sadly.
They were silent for a couple of minutes.
'Can you promise me something Ignitus?'
'What Ignite?'
'That you will tell him?'
Ignitus nodded.
'I was going to tell him sooner or later.'
'And one more thing?'
Ignitus looked at her questioningly as he got up.
'Yes?'
'Can you try and be a father to Firestorm and Firelight? They are your kids.'
Ignitus nodded.
'I will try.'
'And another thing?'
Ignitus sighed.
'Yes Ignite?'
'If you tell him tomorrow, I will tell Firestorm and Firelight tomorrow and we can have a family discussion.'
'With Nina, Flash snd Sparx there.'
'If it has to be like that, then....yes.'
Ignitus smiled at her and left, closing the door behind him.
We are on speaking terms again.....and this time....I can get to know my son......

Ashes sat in her room full of hope and happiness.
My daughter........
There was a knock on the door and Terrador entered. Ashes smiled warmly.
'Have you chosen me over Vine?'
Terrador shook his head.
'I actually came to tell you that there is a family meeting tomorrow. Vine, Terra and if you would come....'
He trailed off.
'You want me to say sorry for what I did to Vine?'
'No, I want you to make up your differences, I can't have you two fighting.'
'Very well,' Ashes said, 'her smile now rather fixed, 'I will go for you Terrador, and you only!'
Terrador nodded and turned to leave.
'Oh and Terrador?'
'Yes Ashes?'
'You know that black dragoness called Cynder?'
'What about her?'
'Shes your daughter.'
Terrador jumped in shock and stared at her. Ashes nodded.
'You had better get moving otherwise Vine will have your guts for garters.'
In a daze Terrador left Ashes to rest.
