According to Play.com, the prices are as follows:
Wii: £40 PS2: £25 GBA/DS: £30 each Interesting, the PS2 version is the cheapest of the lot. No biggie though, we're probably in different gaming spells, lol. |

Because the PS2 will be dieing in about a year and a half... when people stop making games for it.
I'll probably last WAY longer than the X-Box and Gamecube... given how the PS3 is failing right now. >.>

It's not failing. A PAL price drop would do good though. Anyway, it has good exclusives, while the Wii has a good exclusive. Note the the latter is singular, the former is plural. Anyway, Sony, should retire the PS2. It's holding back the PS3 and preventing me from playing a PS3 version of TEN.

Halo 3 comin' out soon for the 360! ^_____^
And yet... I like the PS2 better. But one game with controls I know how to use will not make me buy the console.

But we have to look at the long term use. As stated, I'm in for the Wii version for a multitude of reasons:
* As mentioned the PS2 is slowly dieing out. I only made a purchase on ONE game throughout 2007 so far and that was Okami, so that's telling me it's been harder and harder to find something to take interest in, mainly due to the release of the PS3. * Talking of which, though it did face a few price drops, it's still not low enough to reach for my current budget (I won't get a console that costs more than £300). Add to it being one game that I'm interested in (Ratchet & Clank Future) and weak backwards compatability, and I feel that I might not make my move on the PS3 just yet. * Whether I get it or not, my entire family - main and extended - have obtained interest in the Wii, so that makes messing around on one inevitable. Plus I don't know about my taste in gaming, but I seem more comfortable with the game releases coming out on the Wii rather than the sole on the PS3 at the moment. So with the way I see it, a Wii version of The Eternal Night would be more affective in the long run. |
