Sounds very much like him. Wiki has voice actors for ANB so they should have a list for TEN soon.

That is most likely Ian as the Chronicler, yes. He's credited for voice work in the game in several trailers and the Chronicler sounds like him.

But we don't even know if the actor could be an impersonator or something. I do agree that he does have that Gandalf twang, tho.

I always hoped that he'd have a role in this trilogy. It would be nice if he does.

Film credits are not in the habit of lying to the audience. Ian McKellen is credited for a role in the game and all the known Guardians already have voice actors. The one fellow who sounds like Ian calls himself the Chronicler. There you go.

But how do we know that Ian McKellen is involved? The opening credits didn't list his name, and I haven't seen any over sources stating his role if any.

Egads, you're right! The name listed in the credits whose voice we aren't sure about isn't Ian McKellen but Kevin Michael Richardson. Thanks for pointing that out, Rexy.

So, um, just replace "Ian McKellen" with "Kevin Michael Richardson" in my above post. smilie He's probably doing a Gandalf impression since Gary Oldman already stole Obi Wan for Ignitus. >D

Kevin Michael Richardson voiced Terrador and the Conductor, right? If you ask me, his voice seems a bit too gruff to be the Chronicler. His voice is kinda gentle.

Hmmm... Well, darn. We may have a mystery on our hands. And I need to get my voice actors straight. smilie The only ones I'm truly familiar with are Cree Summer, Tara Strong, and Grey DeLisle.

That would prove my guess... that he's voicing someone with a deep voice... such as Gaul.

Well, it's not Ian McKellen, nor is it Kevin Michael Richarson. It's an English actor called Martin Jarvis, who is also an officer of the Order of the British Empire

Its not Ian McKellen because i know that the man was born in Gloustershire, thats were i live. (Look on wikipedia)

Yep, Martin Jarvis did it. I can see how he has the Gandalf resemblences, given prior experience working on radio dramas for the BBC. Heck, when you see an actor like him get recognised for his achievements on This Is Your Life, you know he's good smilie
